Just received my new President McKinley from Bells and it sounds great! Also got the rd104e(mic) with buttons :) Didn't realize how bad my old Uniden was starting to sound until I hooked this up.. Looking forward to purchasing a Lincoln from them too.... Thank You!! UPDATE: I just received my new President Lincoln 2+ from Bells CB. I really like this radio! Been watching your videos for a few years. The one thing I enjoy about them is you work on the radio and there’s no drama (bashing other technicians) associated with it, none that I’ve seen anyway. IMO, a technician begins to lose credibility when he/she has to resort to criticizing, publicly, the work of others. I’m not in the market, currently, for a radio but I have been eyeballing the Stryker 955 for about a year. You’re probably going to be the source I go to if/when I decide to purchase one.

I send my 2970dx to this gentleman from Ireland that had went back and forward to ranger themselves 3 times🙄 it was loosing receive on FM after about 20 minutes too the point you couldn't here who you were talking too. And this gentleman more a less fixs the issue you sir certainly know what you are doing top man 👍👍👍👍 Ps have ranger radios still having this issue on FM as the radio gets hotter it looses receive ????
Nice one! Glad you’re getting more technical with your videos. I know your main business is radios and equipment but going the extra mile on your videos will help your business also. Lots of people don’t understand what all goes into getting these radios to run good. Yeah it’s nice to see the extra power output but showing that’s not all you paid for it great for business.

Is that an old fluke FM 27, looks a bit newer I have on of those old fm 27 absolutely love it, that galaxy malaka is still working like new which is not tonsay much but it is definitely been a blessing that you helped me fix it thanks

Awesome video. Hit Dx on AM then did some side band. I know the haters that also do videos never show the on air test. What’s the one say ( If Their not Showing Their Then he Makes Jerking motion with hands) . Bells is a good shop great customer service and top shelf tech
Very good detailed video , I know that was a lot of editing work . I really like those radios and am interested . Two questions about that particular radio 1. Can you turn the RF Power down to a 2 watt deadkey and still swing the full 75/80 watts , or do you have to install a swing mod kit to make that happen ,, or is it not an option ? Or does is swing full peak power with a low dead key and I just didn’t catch that ? 2. Is these Rangers any more stable on SSB than Galaxy radios ? It would take a "swing mod" of some sort BUT, nothing will make it sound good with that much swing. (except turning the mic way down so it wont swing that much). Radios that swing that much only sound good when set with mic gain low enough so it swings about 10-20. It only gets higher when he goes AAAHHHHDIO into it but not during normal talking. If it is possible to do AND make sound well, maybe 𝑩𝒍𝒖𝒆 𝑻𝒉𝒖𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒓 at @ASYMOD SUPPORT can help you with it. 𝑺𝒄𝒓𝒆𝒘𝒅𝒓𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝘽𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙨 🔔 𝘾𝘽

Is that an old fluke FM 27, looks a bit newer I have on of those old fm 27 absolutely love it, that galaxy malaka is still working like new which is not tonsay much but it is definitely been a blessing that you helped me fix it thanks

Very good detailed video , I know that was a lot of editing work . I really like those radios and am interested .
Two questions about that particular radio
1. Can you turn the RF Power down to a 2 watt deadkey and still swing the full 75/80 watts , or do you have to install a swing mod kit to make that happen ,, or is it not an option ? Or does is swing full peak power with a low dead key and I just didn’t catch that ?
2. Is these Rangers any more stable on SSB than Galaxy radios ? I have a Galaxy 98VHP and it drifts so bad on sideband it’s annoying .

It would take a "swing mod" of some sort BUT, nothing will make it sound good with that much swing. (except turning the mic way down so it wont swing that much). Radios that swing that much only sound good when set with mic gain low enough so it swings about 10-20. It only gets higher when he goes AAAHHHHDIO into it but not during normal talking. If it is possible to do AND make sound well, maybe 𝑩𝒍𝒖𝒆 𝑻𝒉𝒖𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒓 at @ASYMOD SUPPORT can help you with it.

Sorry I took a lot of time OFF on that project while catching up on radio work at the shop. Had to be a tech for a while rather than a video producer. I have started work again on that same project again this last week and should have it done by the end of the month. Lot's to do less time to do it. When finally released it will be the first in a series of "how To'" tune-up videos on different radios.
