NEW - ICOM ID-52 60th ANNIVERSARY WIDE BAND DSTAR RADIO -GPS,NEW BLUETOOTH , USB-C Charging NEW TERMINAL MODE UPGRADE icomuk.co.uk/f... icomuk.co.uk/I...
48:00 just a marketing the USB-C - BT standards. This is just a pocker move before to release their next gen radios. Just to take more money from our pockets. This is not the first time they do it, but people have short memory !
Icom tried this with the 50th anniversary addition and at least they would give you a unique special antenna you can't get anywhere but a handstrap? CMON Icom why would I spend 100 dollars more for USB C charging? Secondly like the other Ham stated the Kenwood D75 is way better for the price.
The D75 costs alot more it has a smaller screen and needs a PC to send photographs the ICOM 52 has a waterfall display also the USB C is very convenient as all phones use this , plus Terminal mode has sone big improvements.
@@HamTechRadioScannerDrones Kenwood is 749 and the ID52 anniversary is 729. So only 20 dollars more. Nobody uses the waterfall display and it doesnt have a very big span to do anything its a gimmick. Also nobdy sends pictures. You do it once or twice when you get it and then the gimmick is over. Nah Kenwood D75 has way more useful features. What are you going to send another ham that you cant text a photo to? Ive had cell phone service throughout my life and never had to send a pic through a ham radio. Its a gimmick.
I'm sure it's a great radio but I recently got a Kenwood TH-D75 so this would not be something I could use. I'm more interested in the top of the line Yaesu because it has Fusion, which I'd like to try. Don't need two DSTAR radios.
Many thanks for showing well explained.
You are welcome! Lots more videos on way .
Was told it would be shipping early september in the states. Mine is on order.
Hi - Glad you got one :)

Thanks for the informative video. Do you have a video to show how to setup the hotspot that you used in the video?

Sorry that happens .
