thank you so much for all of your work. now if I could only get my base station antenna up I'd be set to go. unfortunately I won't be able to get my power wheelchair up on the roof. so now I just have to wait until I can get a friend to come and help me. but, at least I can get everything set and ready to go. like I said before Thank You so much
Have you tried a 11 meter wire dipole antenna strung horz between two points ? I strung my two ends over two low tree limbs and it got out pretty good, the receiver was not as good as could have been but ... I can hardly get around, I use a cane and it takes me several days between parts of a job because of breathing problems, lack of wind. It's difficult doing things by yourself that's for sure.

I have one and bought it in 2001 but I haven't used it since 2004 and it's been in storage, I have the first President Lincoln radio as well and that radio in my opinion is much easier to operate than the Ranger.
There is some buttons to push that will give you the CH?? and number (channel number) Unless that’s only the N3/N4 ,, but I thought this one did too 🤔.

I just realized I might have heard you this morning. Was there a guy near you with an obnoxious bugal noise toy playing iover and over? Seemed like it would have been 9 or 10. I remember you're somewhere around Allentown.
I have one just like this and my signal meter and swr meter doesn't work at all and the rodger beep doesn't work where could I buy a new display for it?? Everything else works on the radio I bought it from a guy off ebay and he just forgot to tell me that it had problems till I brought it up. Any help would be appreciated it's just holding down the shelf.

To see channel read out on the display.
Press the MAN button.
Then it should read Ch 1-40.
