I haven't read AVoS, but I really love the story in this map. We see in the beginning that Sleekwhisker is in control of her Coyote form. She changes at will, she hunts for the clan, she shows affection to Needletail. And its only through her relationship with Darktail that she really becomes a "monster." It's a pretty cool visual metaphor for how toxic or abusive relationships can turn someone who was once loving and kind into a "monster." Great work to all the artists & animators!
The fact Sleekwhisker just immediately shifted and attacked Needletail showed how much power Darktail really had on her, similar to the books. The scariest thing of all is when your close ones can change and possibly turn on you in a blink of an eye and you'll just watch as that someone hurts you.. Amazing map overall! Everyone who participated did wonderfully!!
I have never seen such a beautiful MAP. The ending hit me hard when Neddletail hesitated to go confront or meet Sleekwhisker. This map really shows how close they were and how horrible the betrayal of them was. The theme and idea was amazing and the animators deserve all the love. You outdid yourself Cheetah, thank you. 🌸

I don’t know much about 3D animation, but I’ve watched a speedpaint(speed sculpt?) before of 3D art and the amount of effort and time I saw them put into it for just one cat,just one position was really a lot and it did surprise me. After that I earned a new level of respect to 3D animators
I'm not at all aware of Sleekwhisker's lore, but was able to follow the story super well! Everyone did a great job conveying the emotions put together by the storyboard.

this was so beautiful. sleekwhisker revealing herself to needletail was amazing, and the ending where needletail slowly seems to give up held so much emotion. everyone did so so incredibly
GOING FERALLLLLL It may not have been used in this one but technically I have done work for all 3 of the modest mouse maps and I think that’s the greatest accomplishment I will ever reach, this is the peak of my entire existence and career, it only goes downhill from here
Even though you can feel the different Artists the overall is very homogeneous. The scene with the rotating camera it's the most interesting looking CGI I have seen so far. Very impressive work, every single piece! 😊👍
this map was phenomenal. everyone did such a fantastic job. but surprisingly, the bit that truly got me teary eyed over anything else was the outro. the way both nettlefang+cheetehZ expressed needletail's pure conflict and heartache washing over her face with no words needed so expertly, utterly destroys me. the last few seconds where werewhisker finally turns her head... only after needletail's spirit is long gone. is truly the painful cherry on top. my lesbian heart is in pieces after this map and i loved every damn beautiful angst-filled second of it. thank you cheetehZ.

When I first seen it, I thought it'd be a cliche edgy werewolf thing, but after reading the description, IT'S SUCH A BEAUTIFUL STORY! A story of gifts being able to get altered when the wrong people find out about them. Wonderful job to the animators!!!
This kills me because it feels like such an analogy for borderline personality disorder. I know it isn't intended, but Darktail really feels like what BPD can be like. Forced to do things by this thing inside of you, and whenever you finally come to your senses you have to look at the chaos you've caused and feel nothing but remorse. Thank you for this beautiful video.

Can't still believe this is my first Warrior cats map I have been in and what got done so fast! This is beyond amazing how this turned out! Amazing passionate animators and great direction!! I GOT SO MANY CHILLS! And yeah I cried a little , but it was a good cry. I loved every second of this! So happy that I got the chance to be part of this beautiful map
I absolutely love the concept of this. It is so unique how Darktail would use Sleekwhisker and her coyote transformation as a weapon to kill everyone. And even though she is extremely dangerous Needletail attempts to comfort her which is so cute 🥺 And I love the part at the end where Needletail is a Starclan spirit and is wondering around Darktail in pure disapointment; it has so much emotion to it!
WOOOOO THIS MAP IS GONNA BE GORGEOUS, the colours for this one really are more aesthetic than usual,, IT'S LOVELY!! *i like that at this point i've been in all modest mouse maps too that doesn't hurt-*
this is so GOOD. the scene where sleek smiled at needle as she walked away,, needle finding sleek killing cats was so SAD. and needle being scared to comfort her and that fear ending up being very justified,, this is so good also love the duality of all the transformation scenes and of COURSE the duality of the scene where needle first learns her secret vs the ending
Absolutely stunning and I love the transition from 2D to 3D showing just how much of a 'dream sequence' that was at the end. All the animators were amazing, and I dont know if anyone noticed how they looked like they were walking on water during the chase to the middle of the lake (making it even more hint to the fact this scene isnt really true) but when it cuts to the end they are at the edge of the lake where Sleekwhiskers is standing over her. Id like to assume that whole chase was a dream or at least wasn't 'real' to an extent and in realty Sleekwhisker had leapt onto Needletail the moment Darktail ordered her and during the moment were she was 'mauling' her she had tried to imagine she had some kind of chance to get away and actually gain control of her were-form for Needletail only to wake up and find out none of it was true. Or thats how I saw it atleast without reading the script at all. If I got it right then I am so happy it was beautifully directed to show a amazing and tragic plot so well!
The harmony of all the different parts, transitioning into one another seamlessly, the atmosphere and color palettes, and the bittersweet ending, the unique concept, ahh this is yet another masterpiece and i thank each of the artists that worked on this wonderful map!! Watching the premiere i had goosebumps all the way through! im stoked as to what comes up next.. astronaut sol? whichever it may be, ill be loving whatever is planned. rarely do i wait with such excitement for a map to release.
This is honestly the most hyped I have been for a MAP. This project has such a unique concept and I am so excited to see the final work! Watching every individual part has just made me so happy, everyone's animations make my brain explode from how amazing they came out!!!
Can I just say I LOVE the Beastars reference with Sleekwhisker killing Needletail, like holy shit that was beautiful Good work to everyone who participated in the MAP, I can clearly see all the hard work yall put into this

Tem hugs him and the camera spins around them before it lands on Riz’s face and him covered in Tem’s blood. It was very similar to where Sleekwhisker killed Needletail and I thought it was interesting :3
Loved this. It's sad how sleekwhisker kills needletail cries a little and then seems to not care after she killed needletail when needletail was the one who loved and accepted her for who she was and not use her to her advantage.

I don’t read warrior cats anymore so I never got to read about NeedleTail, SleekWhisker or Darktail, but I’ve collected a lot from MAP’s and such and wow, let me say even though I don’t know much about the relationship of Sleek and Needle, this project made me tear up! Amazing job! The music fits so well and the part where it rises to the moon and the moon phases change even the color of the sky is just amazing! The parts and transitions ended up flowing so well in everyone’s different styles. Amazing job!
I've never gotten chills watching a RUclips video, but this... the transformation of Sleekwhisker into a monster, it's so smooth and just, horrifying. You can really feel how Needletail felt. Crying at the end... really, truly, one of the best maps there is. Great job, everyone.
I love how these MAPs tell a story that might seem confusing at first, but from the start you can appreciate the music, art, synchronizing, and so much more. And those things tend to be good enough to convince you to watch it again, where you then can appreciate the incredible storytelling, with little to no actual dialogue.
This is EXACTLY it. Cheeteh's MAPs are always so artistically appealing that it makes you WANT to understand the story so you can fully appreciate the video. The MAPs are so interesting and whimsical, regardless of if you fully understand.
I've been anticipating this MAP so hard, it's such a good concept- and from what I've seen, all the artists have done an incredible job!! Im so glad it's finished, great work to everyone 😭💙

3:05 Needletail slowing down to a stop, turning around to face the mindless killer that Darktail forced Sleekwhisker to become _while sheathing her claws,_ and telling her “I’m in love with ALL of you” actually broke me in two. It made my chest hurt. This map is heartbreaking and I hate it and I love it and I need it. I’m not sure why, but this is my favourite out of your MAPs. I love the pink tinge that the blood moon gives everything, I love the song and the lyrics, I love all the art. And of course I love the sapphic romance since I’m lesbian myself.

Wow! This map is so flipping amazing!!! Everyone did so well. Also I loved how in the ending it showed a last moment of connection between sleeckwhisker and Needletail and the camera followed them in circles until is cut with her waking up to see she killed her. It really reminded me of beastars and how Tem died. This map is amazing.

I love MAPs of all shapes and sizes, ... But... I am SO. GLAD. to see work that's actually different and unique. There's only so many times I can see the same, boring, green and brown forest background in MAPs. 🙄 Not only that, but the same stories over and over again. Ashfur, Mapleshade, the three---they're all great, but I've seen it all before. For nearly 10 years. It's projects like these that keep the Warriors fandom alive, and especially the ones who don't actually read the books, lol. (like me) Amazing work as always, people. I'm stunned. 🥰 and Cheeteh, you introduced me to Modest Mouse, so thank you for that 😄

It all flows together so well! :). Can I just add, The song plus the aesthetic of the map reminds me of a game I used to play called “Animal jam” I still have it but hardly go on. It reminds me how everything used to be, that game changed my life and this map brings back so many memories of it.. It feels like day one again. This map gives me so many emotions and I love it. I know it isn't intended, but Darktail really feels like what BPD can be like. Forced to do things by this thing inside of you, and whenever you finally come to your senses you have to look at the chaos you've caused and feel nothing but remorse.

I absolutely love the concept of this. It is so unique how Darktail would use Sleekwhisker and her coyote transformation as a weapon to kill everyone. And even though she is extremely dangerous Needletail attempts to comfort her which is so cute 🥺
And I love the part at the end where Needletail is a Starclan spirit and is wondering around Darktail in pure disapointment; it has so much emotion to it!
WOOOOO THIS MAP IS GONNA BE GORGEOUS, the colours for this one really are more aesthetic than usual,, IT'S LOVELY!!

this is so GOOD. the scene where sleek smiled at needle as she walked away,, needle finding sleek killing cats was so SAD. and needle being scared to comfort her and that fear ending up being very justified,, this is so good
also love the duality of all the transformation scenes and of COURSE the duality of the scene where needle first learns her secret vs the ending
Absolutely stunning and I love the transition from 2D to 3D showing just how much of a 'dream sequence' that was at the end. All the animators were amazing, and I dont know if anyone noticed how they looked like they were walking on water during the chase to the middle of the lake (making it even more hint to the fact this scene isnt really true) but when it cuts to the end they are at the edge of the lake where Sleekwhiskers is standing over her. Id like to assume that whole chase was a dream or at least wasn't 'real' to an extent and in realty Sleekwhisker had leapt onto Needletail the moment Darktail ordered her and during the moment were she was 'mauling' her she had tried to imagine she had some kind of chance to get away and actually gain control of her were-form for Needletail only to wake up and find out none of it was true. Or thats how I saw it atleast without reading the script at all. If I got it right then I am so happy it was beautifully directed to show a amazing and tragic plot so well!
This MAP really enunciated how evil Darktail was and how he manipulated the cats under him, especially Sleekwhisker. Amazing job as always!

The harmony of all the different parts, transitioning into one another seamlessly, the atmosphere and color palettes, and the bittersweet ending, the unique concept, ahh this is yet another masterpiece and i thank each of the artists that worked on this wonderful map!! Watching the premiere i had goosebumps all the way through!
im stoked as to what comes up next.. astronaut sol? whichever it may be, ill be loving whatever is planned. rarely do i wait with such excitement for a map to release.
This is honestly the most hyped I have been for a MAP. This project has such a unique concept and I am so excited to see the final work! Watching every individual part has just made me so happy, everyone's animations make my brain explode from how amazing they came out!!!

@@alyssabullock6421 the scene was similar to the scene in season 2 of Beastars (Spoilers) where Riz killed Tem. Tem hugs him and the camera spins around them before it lands on Riz’s face and him covered in Tem’s blood. It was very similar to where Sleekwhisker killed Needletail and I thought it was interesting :3

Loved this. It's sad how sleekwhisker kills needletail cries a little and then seems to not care after she killed needletail when needletail was the one who loved and accepted her for who she was and not use her to her advantage.
her expression at the end kind of makes me think she was expecting something like this to happen, sooner or later- and whether she wanted to or not.

I don’t read warrior cats anymore so I never got to read about NeedleTail, SleekWhisker or Darktail, but I’ve collected a lot from MAP’s and such and wow, let me say even though I don’t know much about the relationship of Sleek and Needle, this project made me tear up! Amazing job! The music fits so well and the part where it rises to the moon and the moon phases change even the color of the sky is just amazing! The parts and transitions ended up flowing so well in everyone’s different styles. Amazing job!

I've never gotten chills watching a RUclips video, but this... the transformation of Sleekwhisker into a monster, it's so smooth and just, horrifying. You can really feel how Needletail felt. Crying at the end... really, truly, one of the best maps there is. Great job, everyone.
I love how these MAPs tell a story that might seem confusing at first, but from the start you can appreciate the music, art, synchronizing, and so much more. And those things tend to be good enough to convince you to watch it again, where you then can appreciate the incredible storytelling, with little to no actual dialogue.
This is EXACTLY it. Cheeteh's MAPs are always so artistically appealing that it makes you WANT to understand the story so you can fully appreciate the video. The MAPs are so interesting and whimsical, regardless of if you fully understand.

This was such a spectacular MAProject to be a part of!! From spectacular art direction + storyboard from Cheetz, to spectacular art from spectacular people! Seeing this put together is amazing. Everyone did so wonderfully and I'm so, so happy and grateful to have been a part of such a lovely project.
This is so beautiful holy shit. You truly can create the greatest ideas for maps whilst doing it paired with my favorite band, incredible. Not to mention how much effort everyone has put in!

3:05 Needletail slowing down to a stop, turning around to face the mindless killer that Darktail forced Sleekwhisker to become _while sheathing her claws,_ and telling her “I’m in love with ALL of you” actually broke me in two. It made my chest hurt. This map is heartbreaking and I hate it and I love it and I need it.
I’m not sure why, but this is my favourite out of your MAPs. I love the pink tinge that the blood moon gives everything, I love the song and the lyrics, I love all the art. And of course I love the sapphic romance since I’m lesbian myself.

Wow! This map is so flipping amazing!!! Everyone did so well. Also I loved how in the ending it showed a last moment of connection between sleeckwhisker and Needletail and the camera followed them in circles until is cut with her waking up to see she killed her. It really reminded me of beastars and how Tem died. This map is amazing.

I love MAPs of all shapes and sizes, ... But... I am SO. GLAD. to see work that's actually different and unique. There's only so many times I can see the same, boring, green and brown forest background in MAPs. 🙄 Not only that, but the same stories over and over again. Ashfur, Mapleshade, the three---they're all great, but I've seen it all before. For nearly 10 years.
It's projects like these that keep the Warriors fandom alive, and especially the ones who don't actually read the books, lol. (like me)

I can’t- This map is so good! I love this AU! The designs are breathtaking and how everyone did there parts is wonderful! It all flows together so well! :). Can I just add, The song plus the aesthetic of the map reminds me of a game I used to play called “Animal jam” I still have it but hardly go on. It reminds me how everything used to be, that game changed my life and this map brings back so many memories of it.. It feels like day one again. This map gives me so many emotions and I love it. Thank you for this amazing creation
