I like how through the whole map, Leafpool has been antagonizing Hollyleaf, because everything we is from Hollyleaf's persepctive. But as soon as she regrets killing Leafpool, she remembers the happy memories they had together, and she feels guilty of what she did. It shows Hollyleaf could only think of how harsh Leafpool was as the cat who refused to be her mentor, but forgot of how kind and caring she was as an aunt. And the prophecy Leafpool and Squirrelflight were preventing this whole time comes true, and Sol gets what he wanted
I agree, but Leafpool also handled this situation very badly. She kept Hollyleaf's powers and involvment in propecy a secret from her and the rest of the clan, and was so paranoid that she attacked her when she was trying to save sandstorm's life. It must have resulted in Hollyleaf holding a huge gruge towards her, 'cause she didn't even want to mourn Sandstorm together with her. Sol was a person who finally told her about the propecy and what are the powers she now sudenly started having, but used it to manipulate her which could have been prevented by simply taking her to the side and explaining all of this to her, when she was made a warrior. Hollyleaf is an adult, she deserves to know. No wonder she was mad at Leafpool, and Sol used that anger to his own advantage...
@@hpforever3563 I would say Leaf and Holly were on the same boat, since both of them made irracional decisions based on what they are feeling on the moment. But since it's from Hollyleaf's persepctive, we are all on Holly's side even tho her actions were worse then Leafpool's. Also, the fact that she was in the right until the very end while Leaf make mistakes through the whole thing helps a lot for us to feel sympathy for her even tho she messes up *badly*
You have to understand, holly grew up as a little kid ridiculed for her interests for unknown reasons..leaf always shoved her away and told her to not pursue her dream, she crushed holly's dream as a little kid and continuously shoved her away for what she liked and wanted to do. Holly felt alien in her own clan because no one understood how she felt and she was never told why she harshly put down by everyone. If no one in her clan would support her she went outside towards Sol, leaf drove her away. When sandstorm was literally dying she attacked holly, which obviously was an overreaction but when you think of holly's perspective she doesn't understand why and leaf comes off really cruel for it..especially when you think about how holly could of SAVED sandstorm, leaf gatekeeping her from that had to of hurt even more because in her eyes leaf killed sand by not letting her heal her. Holly feels bad for killing leaf because she killed someone, she was furious and her emotions led her..once she calmed down and had more sense of course she regretted it, she didn't like leaf but killing her was too far and she knows that. It's like when you yell at someone and call them horrible things in the moment but feel bad after once you gain some sense, except holly did more than just yell which is why her guilt is even stronger. It's nothing to do with "holly only saw her for not wanting to be her mentor not for how kind she was" it was leaf shoving her away and drowning out her dreams and interests for unknown reasons because of secrets her and squirrelflight were holding. She was hurting holly..it's like seeing your niece drawings so you run over and rip up the drawing telling them to never do it again, it's mean and continuously putting them down via telling them they'll never be what they want is horribly damaging on a child and will end in resentment for valid reasons.
The fact that the deer’s antlers were duller at the tips whereas Holly’s were sharper shows how she meant harm towards leaf pool while leaf never wanted to hurt Holly.

Its such a small, SMALL little detail, but during the scene where Leafpool pins Holly down, you can see Leafs shadow jump a bit when Hollyleaf turns back to her looking aggressive; as if she doesn't expect Holly to resent her. And she doesn't. Because in her eyes, shes just trying to prevent the prophecy. She's just trying to help. In her eyes, she doesnt expect Holly to be angry, because she expects her to understand.

I like to think the vines at the end ensnaring Hollyleaf are her own doing. Clearly she's feeling intense guilt for killing Leafpool, and unless the mysterious cats in the portal are manipulating her power, the vines are literally rooting her in place with shame and remorse. Making her face the musi of what she's done.

I have a small headcanon about Sandstorm in this. She was there when Hollyleaf first asked to be a healer. She was proud as could be. I'm sure she did not understand why leafpool said no, and probably tried to advocate for Hollyleaf as a healer. She encouraged her to do what she loved: healing. Maybe even helped her with the secret garden. She was hollyleaf's biggest supporter, and when she was nearly killed, denied a chance to save her life, that's what broke her. Leafpool had never supported her. Sandstorm always had. And now she's dead.
I JUST REALIZED THIS- Leafpool has yellow eyes and Squilf has green... The deer has one yellow eye and one green... At the end it's revealed that the deer was Leafpool... The two different eyes symbolizes her rage for *both* of them as she fights with it (mostly Leafpool though since the deer's fur also looks like hers)!
All this time I thought it was the green star and yellow star, then Leaf and Sol, but now that makes even more better sense here! Squirrelflight had that tone of green in her eyes, and she took part in cutting Holly out! Thanks for pointing this out!

For some reason I didn’t put two and two together for the storyboard, so Holly killing the deer and it turning out to be Leafpool left me so shocked. Everyone did absolutely wonderful with this :D

I love that the warrior cats Fandom fills in the plot holes the Erin's left. Sol opening the gate to the dark forest using a sacrifice makes so much more sense than what actually happened
It still amazes me that an entire community of people took a book about some feral cats and made a bunch of Disney-like short films for it. So many talented animators, good work everyone 👏👏
I love how at 0:29 when Leafpool gets the message from starclan the 3 star like shapes are reflected in Leafpool’s and Squirrelflight’s eyes but only the green one is reflected in Hollyleafs eyes. This map is so good, I love all those little details put into it.
The whole time Leafpool was scared of Hollyleaf falling into the prophecy so she wanted to protect her by saying no to her becoming a healer, but little did she know, this would cause her to fall right into the prophecy’s grasp.. The remourse, the anguish and emotion in Leafpool’s eyes when she realizes her mistake and that it’s too late is so heartbreaking. It’s so sad that Hollyleaf was blinded, she was just so hurt.
Seeing Hollyfawn’s glare to Leafpool when she breaks her antlers is so sad. She looks so hurt, but also angry. The animator did a great job for that, and so did everyone in this MAP! Edit: HOLLY _955-_ (Thx Ratzen lol)
@🌅 sunset 🌅 As far as I know, her part of the prophecy is that Hollyfawn’s power would be effected by Sol, which is why Leafpool and Squirrelflight seem to act like and tell her, that she doesn’t have an power. When Sol attacks and Sandstorm dies, Squirrelflight’s and Leafpool’s mother, Leafpool probably was thinking that she had something to do with it. Part of it probably with just mere shock from everything that happened.

Every artist who has participated have been so talented and I'm so glad everyone had pushed out such amazing pieces in time I'll write my thoughts on the map once it actually premieres, but I'm super excited! Can't wait to see it! and I'll be looking forward to hopefully making it into the next project in this awesome story of cats you've made with so many other talented people!
this is probably the best warriors map in terms pf storytelling and character design. hell, im not even in the warriors fandom and i could tell what was happening without reading any script. all the designs are recognizable, theres no confusion between whos who

I love how at the end, where the peaceful scene that Hollyleaf enjoys gets ruined by a deer, symbolizes Leafpool crashing through and destroying her peace and potential. Very well drawn!!

That was beautiful, I don't think there are enough words that I could possibly string together to describe it all. I love the parallels between Hollyleaf as the deer in the beginning and end being strangled by the snake/vines, like that was her destiny to die. I'm guessing that's why Leafpool and Squirrelflight didn't want her to become a healer in an attempt to stop that from happening? And Hollyleaf's beginning antlers appearing as if made of sticks that she made herself compared to antlers like Leafpool's? Not to mention the scene with the deer protecting the birds, squirrel, and flower, each animal corresponding with someone she wanted to protect and she sees Leafpool as the brown deer seeking to destroy what she loves. I love the change from Hollyleaf growing flowers with her power to growing death berries after killing Leafpool too. I want to write an essay on this instead of doing my actual assignments.
I was rewatching this a lot, and all I can really think is how much of a waste this whole situation was. If Leafpool hadn't refused to communicate with Holly, if Squirrelflight had explained about Sol, even if Holly had just been able to show her powers and save sandstorm, none of this would have spiraled so far out of control, and the clan would have the best healer who ever lived. But leafpool was scared, so here we are
When hollyleaf asks Leafpool to become a medicine cat, you can see Leafpool looks hesitant to reject her, but as soon as she looks at squirrelflight it’s only then she actually says no. She was only doing what squirrielflight told her to do. Hollyleaf doesn’t see squirrel flight because she’s so fixated on leafpools answer and the animators make it pretty clear. when Leafpool walks out it’s when squirrelflight comforts her. That’s why she sees Leafpool and the villain as opposed to squirrelflight. It’s much like what they did in the books but reversed. The three hate squilf more than they hate leaf when in reality she was to blame in the first place.
In this national Holly-day, we as people gather around the world at Holly-dawn as we are Holly-drawn to the greatness of Hollyfawn. You either are Holly-fond of Hollyfawn or you Holly-fall-in-love with Hollyfawn. It's a shame this wasn't on Holly-ween, but today IS Holly-ween, because we love no one else but Hollyfawn. *Pun intended.*
I love the fact that in a few of the scenes with the deer, it's markings are diamonds like the markings on the wall, it's almost like the deer is representing the Prophecy and because of the fact that the deer had destroyed her kind of little magical area, its like how Leafpool acted like she couldn't be a healer because of the Prophecy. This MAP has a Studio Ghibli feel to it and that makes me so happy! Like it’s so mystical and the art style for every participant and the graphics just make it stand out. It feels like a passion project, like a movie even! Such a shame that the books aren’t like this. This is so compelling.
6:47 is that Leafpool who is dead…!? If so, not only is it spine-chilling, but the way the deer version of Leafpool in that nightmare(?) attacked that peaceful deer really shines a light on how Hollyfawn felt in those moments, being torn away from who she is meant to be/who she is.
5:10-5:22 I love this scene, it represents the members with their respective animals and the deer representing her as if she were protecting them, however, the deer representing Leafpool ends up "killing" the deer that represented her as a sign of when she did not accept being her mentor . Or is it that way that I see it ( I speak spanish so if something is misspelled forgive me)
When I tell you I’ve been looking forward to this project for months? That was an understatement. Although lately the Warrior Cats franchise has been dull in its regards to delivering good products, these projects have brought this splash of life to the community that we’ve all needed. Everything here is GORGEOUS, from the character and set design, to the storytelling direction, to the hours of work animators spent putting into this project. I’m so proud of everyone here, as everyone involved has beyond fantastical skill and makes me excited for what they have to offer in the future. Seeing my thumbnail in the honorable mentions actually made me scream at the top of my lungs. Hollyfawn is a masterpiece, and I couldn’t stress that sentiment more. Incredible. Absolutely incredible.

this genuinely has to be one of the most beautiful and well-made maps ive ever seen. i genuinely teared up at parts. not only is the story just fantastic, but all of the animators brought it to life so beautifully. the emotion in this map is just outstanding. excellent work as always cheetah z, we're all excited to see what you have planned for the future!
THIS IS PHENOMENALLLL. The scripting and concept and the way it embodies the emotional core of Hollyleaf's character is so compelling, it feels like these new dynamics and contexts are bringing a life out of them that the books didn't always manage. Hollyleaf's also a massive fav of mine so it's thrilling to see such an emotionally complex take on her. Everyone went so genuinely crazy on executing it, it's so so cinematic. The fight scene has me in a DEATHGRIP. I feel like your maps and scripts give so much opportunity for people to just flex their creative and technical muscles and it's constantly so cool to watch. I wish I could print this video out and put it on my wall forever.
I like how this story somehow manages to make hollyleaf sympathetic for her actions while still acknowledging how she was in the wrong. Of course leafpool didnt make _great_ decisions and hollyleaf was being manipulated by sol but it was still selfish of her to take her anger out on leafpool. Hollyleaf realising that killing leafpool wasnt the right choice is one of the most interesting parts of this. Might just be me though, otherwise super excited to see any potential follow ups to this!
My favorite part of this that I always come back to is the fact that Holly was trying to go save Sandstorm. She could've saved her if Leafpool didn't tackle her. Leafpool killed her own mother because she was upset. They doomed her from the beginning by not telling her she was special. Sandstorm would still be alive if Holly was able to be the healer she was meant to be.
I CANNOT DESCRIBE HOW AWESOME THIS MAP CAME OUT! the storytelling in this map is literally better than some of the storytelling in the actual books lol hollyleaf's arc here is just so compelling, not to mention the designs and symbolism are AMAZING!! I know no one’s going to see this :( But still: something I’ve noticed is that, you know how leafpool has the little leafy things around her eyes? In that universe, it must mean you would be a “healer”.(medicine cat) well, hollyleaf has these also, even since the start when she was a kit. This really shows that there really wasn’t anyway to avoid the prophecy for hollyleaf.
I watched this on the TV with my uncle and later on my phone with my aunt, and both of them asked "What movie is this? " lmao. anyways, good map and everyone did a great job!!
The prophecy was trying to say to keep an eye on Holly to make sure she wouldn't be manipulated by sol for her powers lest they consume her, however by deciding to deny to probably even themselves that she even had that destiny much less her powers only caused her to be and feel more isolated and got pushed directly into her fate instead of away, I also love how we see this from Holly's perspective mostly we do see portions of others! At least after the first part, in her perspective the people around her are uncaring about her, including her siblings who we see give her wierd looks when she hunts with them (except maybe her mom) not showing the good and care they gave her, to the point that during her fight with Leafpool she doesnt see her as her aunt, she sees her as an aggressive destructive deer keeping her from her (what she thinks) amazing destiny like her siblings got, however at the end when she's killed her aunt we see portions of what her aunt actually was to her and she's held down by the manifestation of her guilt, beautiful work!

This MAP holds a special part in my heart, it was the one first warriors cats MAPs I watched, and still my favorite one. The little details make it so much better. Hollyleaf quickly became my favorite cat.

I overall really love the storyboard and how Leafpool looks so much like a deer. It’s really crazy, but your maps are just as frickin amazing as all the other ones.
This MAP turned out INSANEEEE, by far one of the best MAPs I’ve EVER seen!! Huge congratulations to everyone who was involved in this, it came out absolutely stunning!! I’m still SO glad I was given the opportunity to join this project, it was an honor to work on and I’m lookin forward to what comes in the future!
I absolutely love that this is a self fulfilling prophecy. In their attempt to stop the future from happening, it still happened anyways. I've always loved stuff like that. Like in Star Wars there's a big theory discussion of what if Anakin knew about his future would his attempts to stop it worsen things or fix them? Here we see their attempts to stop the future didn't go well. If they had just trained Holly in being a healer, would that have prevented this outcome? Maybe, maybe not.
Notice how when Leafpool licks her cheek her eyes turn to hearts? She clearly loves leafpool. That’s probably why hollyleaf was so hurt when Leafpool rejected her, but it wasn’t until she let sandy die that hollyleaf truly hated her.
I prefer the world that cheetah Z creates in their maps over the cannon world of warriors! it's just so MYSTICAL and EXITING! I get more and more hyped with every story! And I can't wait for more

Absolutely beautiful. I’ve been waiting for this one ever since I came across the original storyboard. The concept behind it, the tie-in to the other projects, I was in love with the idea from the beginning. Hollyleaf always stuck with me, the only sibling with no powers, yet aching so badly to be of service, and to go through the development from adhering almost too strongly to the Code to taking out Ashfur when she felt it needed to be done. I always had a soft spot for her and wondered what would’ve happened if she’d been given a power of her own. I absolutely adore the deer imagery, as they’re often depicted as soft, gentle creatures, but they’re just as capable of brutality as other animals in nature. I love how expressive Hollyleaf is portrayed too; I feel like I can feel her pain throughout, and her longing to contribute to her Clan and family in the way she feels most meaningful. The song choice is also amazing, this project was how I found this song actually, and I’ve been listening to it nonstop haha I’m done rambling now lol, everyone did a fantastic job on this one, and it came out beautifully ❤

happy birthday hollyfawn!!!! i just wanted to say thank you so much to all of the animators that made this project possible. honestly idk why it just feels so magical everytime i watch this or hear the family crests music and i love it. i not only have had a weird obsession with this map for no reason, but i also found a love for music that i never had before after hearing beneath the brine. i then listened to alot of family crest music and explored other music artists and now basically can't live without music. that made me interested in singing and perhaps even learning an instrument one day. i always thought I sucked at singing but im just getting better and better and I love it. thank you.
I am so overwhelmed with how beautifully this came together!! Such a fantastic and talented group of animator and artists! I am honored to have participated in this and I’m ecstatic to see what’s to come!
Okay just want to say; what a phenominal project. The outcome for all of these is always just AMAZING but I especially loved the concept for this MAP since Holly has always been a favourite. I am just super happy to see these projects all come together. The art direction for this project was beautiful too, I still stare at it like omg it's just,,, I'm speechless? I'd honestly live in this MAP it's gorgeous. Tysm Cheet for letting me participate and a big thank you to Cheet, Lettuce and Lou for bringing this whole project together. I always look so forward to all these projects and their outcomes, I constantly lurk in the chats to see wips every day of the week. Everyone who came together to work on this did amazing, everyone is so talented and despite the different art styles and art techniques, everything flows so beautifully that you almost forget you're not watching one continuous movie. I love Hollyfawn, I definitely have to say this and Serpent Sol are a hard 'I can't choose for first place' kind of maps they're all so beautifully done
You know, I say only say this when something really is of this quality. But I have to say that this is beautiful, I mean it. You can really feel the emotion through how it is conveyed in each second of this project. I also really do think that this came from the hearts of the animators, and that everyone worked hard to make sure this came out the best it can be. i have no words this MAP left me speechless. the music entwined with the story is gorgeous and brilliant. the way the characters are designed and written. ive never seen a better way anyone has ever done to Hollyleaf's character. that fight scene gave me legitimate chills. im absolutely astounded by this beautiful piece of animation. bravo to every animator and every person who worked on this. 100/10 map, definitely my favorite ever

No surprise, but this came out beautifully. I love the palettes of this MAP and Sol’s, they feel so varied and lively, especially with all the flowers. Everyone tied every scene together so nicely, but the climax fight from start to finish is CHILLING! Enjoyable MAP to watch all the way through, everyone should be so proud!!
I have never been this excited about a MAP before!! Everyone’s done so well over the past few weeks to make a gorgeous end result! I’ve also fallen completely in love with The Family Crest now.

I like how through the whole map, Leafpool has been antagonizing Hollyleaf, because everything we is from Hollyleaf's persepctive. But as soon as she regrets killing Leafpool, she remembers the happy memories they had together, and she feels guilty of what she did. It shows Hollyleaf could only think of how harsh Leafpool was as the cat who refused to be her mentor, but forgot of how kind and caring she was as an aunt. And the prophecy Leafpool and Squirrelflight were preventing this whole time comes true, and Sol gets what he wanted
I agree, but Leafpool also handled this situation very badly. She kept Hollyleaf's powers and involvment in propecy a secret from her and the rest of the clan, and was so paranoid that she attacked her when she was trying to save sandstorm's life. It must have resulted in Hollyleaf holding a huge gruge towards her, 'cause she didn't even want to mourn Sandstorm together with her. Sol was a person who finally told her about the propecy and what are the powers she now sudenly started having, but used it to manipulate her which could have been prevented by simply taking her to the side and explaining all of this to her, when she was made a warrior. Hollyleaf is an adult, she deserves to know. No wonder she was mad at Leafpool, and Sol used that anger to his own advantage...

But since it's from Hollyleaf's persepctive, we are all on Holly's side even tho her actions were worse then Leafpool's. Also, the fact that she was in the right until the very end while Leaf make mistakes through the whole thing helps a lot for us to feel sympathy for her even tho she messes up *badly*

You have to understand, holly grew up as a little kid ridiculed for her interests for unknown reasons..leaf always shoved her away and told her to not pursue her dream, she crushed holly's dream as a little kid and continuously shoved her away for what she liked and wanted to do. Holly felt alien in her own clan because no one understood how she felt and she was never told why she harshly put down by everyone. If no one in her clan would support her she went outside towards Sol, leaf drove her away. When sandstorm was literally dying she attacked holly, which obviously was an overreaction but when you think of holly's perspective she doesn't understand why and leaf comes off really cruel for it..especially when you think about how holly could of SAVED sandstorm, leaf gatekeeping her from that had to of hurt even more because in her eyes leaf killed sand by not letting her heal her.
Holly feels bad for killing leaf because she killed someone, she was furious and her emotions led her..once she calmed down and had more sense of course she regretted it, she didn't like leaf but killing her was too far and she knows that. It's like when you yell at someone and call them horrible things in the moment but feel bad after once you gain some sense, except holly did more than just yell which is why her guilt is even stronger.
It's nothing to do with "holly only saw her for not wanting to be her mentor not for how kind she was" it was leaf shoving her away and drowning out her dreams and interests for unknown reasons because of secrets her and squirrelflight were holding. She was hurting holly..it's like seeing your niece drawings so you run over and rip up the drawing telling them to never do it again, it's mean and continuously putting them down via telling them they'll never be what they want is horribly damaging on a child and will end in resentment for valid reasons.
The fact that the deer’s antlers were duller at the tips whereas Holly’s were sharper shows how she meant harm towards leaf pool while leaf never wanted to hurt Holly.

Its such a small, SMALL little detail, but during the scene where Leafpool pins Holly down, you can see Leafs shadow jump a bit when Hollyleaf turns back to her looking aggressive; as if she doesn't expect Holly to resent her. And she doesn't. Because in her eyes, shes just trying to prevent the prophecy. She's just trying to help. In her eyes, she doesnt expect Holly to be angry, because she expects her to understand.

I like to think the vines at the end ensnaring Hollyleaf are her own doing. Clearly she's feeling intense guilt for killing Leafpool, and unless the mysterious cats in the portal are manipulating her power, the vines are literally rooting her in place with shame and remorse. I have a small headcanon about Sandstorm in this. She was there when Hollyleaf first asked to be a healer. She was proud as could be. I'm sure she did not understand why leafpool said no, and probably tried to advocate for Hollyleaf as a healer. She encouraged her to do what she loved: healing. Maybe even helped her with the secret garden. She was hollyleaf's biggest supporter, and when she was nearly killed, denied a chance to save her life, that's what broke her. Leafpool had never supported her. Sandstorm always had. And now she's dead.

I JUST REALIZED THIS- Leafpool has yellow eyes and Squilf has green... The deer has one yellow eye and one green... At the end it's revealed that the deer was Leafpool... The two different eyes symbolizes her rage for *both* of them as she fights with it (mostly Leafpool though since the deer's fur also looks like hers)!

The whole time Leafpool was scared of Hollyleaf falling into the prophecy so she wanted to protect her by saying no to her becoming a healer, but little did she know, this would cause her to fall right into the prophecy’s grasp..
The remourse, the anguish and emotion in Leafpool’s eyes when she realizes her mistake and that it’s too late is so heartbreaking. It’s so sad that Hollyleaf was blinded, she was just so hurt.
Hold up, so why didn't she wipe away Lionblaze's and Jayfeather's stars if she was worried about the prophecy??

@🌅 sunset 🌅 As far as I know, her part of the prophecy is that Hollyfawn’s power would be effected by Sol, which is why Leafpool and Squirrelflight seem to act like and tell her, that she doesn’t have an power.
When Sol attacks and Sandstorm dies, Squirrelflight’s and Leafpool’s mother, Leafpool probably was thinking that she had something to do with it. Part of it probably with just mere shock from everything that happened.

That was beautiful, I don't think there are enough words that I could possibly string together to describe it all. I love the parallels between Hollyleaf as the deer in the beginning and end being strangled by the snake/vines, like that was her destiny to die. I'm guessing that's why Leafpool and Squirrelflight didn't want her to become a healer in an attempt to stop that from happening? And Hollyleaf's beginning antlers appearing as if made of sticks that she made herself compared to antlers like Leafpool's? Not to mention the scene with the deer protecting the birds, squirrel, and flower, each animal corresponding with someone she wanted to protect and she sees Leafpool as the brown deer seeking to destroy what she loves. I love the change from Hollyleaf growing flowers with her power to growing death berries after killing Leafpool too. I want to write an essay on this instead of doing my actual assignments.
I was rewatching this a lot, and all I can really think is how much of a waste this whole situation was. If Leafpool hadn't refused to communicate with Holly, if Squirrelflight had explained about Sol, even if Holly had just been able to show her powers and save sandstorm, none of this would have spiraled so far out of control, and the clan would have the best healer who ever lived. But leafpool was scared, so here we are
When hollyleaf asks Leafpool to become a medicine cat, you can see Leafpool looks hesitant to reject her, but as soon as she looks at squirrelflight it’s only then she actually says no. She was only doing what squirrielflight told her to do. Hollyleaf doesn’t see squirrel flight because she’s so fixated on leafpools answer and the animators make it pretty clear. when Leafpool walks out it’s when squirrelflight comforts her. That’s why she sees Leafpool and the villain as opposed to squirrelflight. It’s much like what they did in the books but reversed. The three hate squilf more than they hate leaf when in reality she was to blame in the first place.

I love the fact that in a few of the scenes with the deer, it's markings are diamonds like the markings on the wall, it's almost like the deer is representing the Prophecy and because of the fact that the deer had destroyed her kind of little magical area, its like how Leafpool acted like she couldn't be a healer because of the Prophecy. This MAP has a Studio Ghibli feel to it and that makes me so happy! Like it’s so mystical and the art style for every participant and the graphics just make it stand out. It feels like a passion project, like a movie even! Such a shame that the books aren’t like this. This is so compelling.

5:10-5:22 I love this scene, it represents the members with their respective animals and the deer representing her as if she were protecting them, however, the deer representing Leafpool ends up "killing" the deer that represented her as a sign of when she did not accept being her mentor . When I tell you I’ve been looking forward to this project for months? That was an understatement. Although lately the Warrior Cats franchise has been dull in its regards to delivering good products, these projects have brought this splash of life to the community that we’ve all needed. Everything here is GORGEOUS, from the character and set design, to the storytelling direction, to the hours of work animators spent putting into this project. I’m so proud of everyone here, as everyone involved has beyond fantastical skill and makes me excited for what they have to offer in the future. Seeing my thumbnail in the honorable mentions actually made me scream at the top of my lungs. Hollyfawn is a masterpiece, and I couldn’t stress that sentiment more. Incredible. Absolutely incredible.

THIS IS PHENOMENALLLL. The scripting and concept and the way it embodies the emotional core of Hollyleaf's character is so compelling, it feels like these new dynamics and contexts are bringing a life out of them that the books didn't always manage. Hollyleaf's also a massive fav of mine so it's thrilling to see such an emotionally complex take on her. Everyone went so genuinely crazy on executing it, it's so so cinematic. The fight scene has me in a DEATHGRIP. I feel like your maps and scripts give so much opportunity for people to just flex their creative and technical muscles and it's constantly so cool to watch. I wish I could print this video out and put it on my wall forever.

I like how this story somehow manages to make hollyleaf sympathetic for her actions while still acknowledging how she was in the wrong. Of course leafpool didnt make _great_ decisions and hollyleaf was being manipulated by sol but it was still selfish of her to take her anger out on leafpool. Hollyleaf realising that killing leafpool wasnt the right choice is one of the most interesting parts of this. Might just be me though, otherwise super excited to see any potential follow ups to this!
My favorite part of this that I always come back to is the fact that Holly was trying to go save Sandstorm. She could've saved her if Leafpool didn't tackle her. Sandstorm would still be alive if Holly was able to be the healer she was meant to be.
I CANNOT DESCRIBE HOW AWESOME THIS MAP CAME OUT! the storytelling in this map is literally better than some of the storytelling in the actual books lol hollyleaf's arc here is just so compelling, not to mention the designs and symbolism are AMAZING!! I got such chills from watching this, it was a honor to have been able to be a part of this project!! everyone did such a wonderful job

This was such an amazing map! Everyone did so amazing! I can’t believe how beautiful it is! The red rose as blood, the deer representing everything Holly wanted to be and Leafpool destroying it- I’m just out of words. Y’all did amazing. Everyone out there have a wonderful day. cheetz, you always put much effort into your projects as you create these beautiful visual stories with true meaning, and you really feel the emotion. it's phenomenal and absolutely outstanding as you create a precious storyline that touches your heart. im very proud of how far you come and all your hard work!! you've added huge memories in this fandom ❤

But still: something I’ve noticed is that, you know how leafpool has the little leafy things around her eyes? In that universe, it must mean you would be a “healer”.(medicine cat) well, hollyleaf has these also, even since the start when she was a kit. This really shows that there really wasn’t anyway to avoid the prophecy for hollyleaf.

The fight scene at the end was so gorgeous that I had to watch it in slow-mo to admire every frame 😭 This is one of the best MAPs I've ever seen!
The prophecy was trying to say to keep an eye on Holly to make sure she wouldn't be manipulated by sol for her powers lest they consume her, however by deciding to deny to probably even themselves that she even had that destiny much less her powers only caused her to be and feel more isolated and got pushed directly into her fate instead of away, I also love how we see this from Holly's perspective mostly we do see portions of others! At least after the first part, in her perspective the people around her are uncaring about her, including her siblings who we see give her wierd looks when she hunts with them (except maybe her mom) not showing the good and care they gave her, to the point that during her fight with Leafpool she doesnt see her as her aunt, she sees her as an aggressive destructive deer keeping her from her (what she thinks) amazing destiny like her siblings got, however at the end when she's killed her aunt we see portions of what her aunt actually was to her and she's held down by the manifestation of her guilt, beautiful work!

This MAP holds a special part in my heart, it was the one first warriors cats MAPs I watched, and still my favorite one. The little details make it so much better. Hollyleaf quickly became my favorite cat.

I overall really love the storyboard and how Leafpool looks so much like a deer. It’s really crazy, but your maps are just as frickin amazing as all the other ones.

I absolutely love that this is a self fulfilling prophecy. In their attempt to stop the future from happening, it still happened anyways. I've always loved stuff like that. Like in Star Wars there's a big theory discussion of what if Anakin knew about his future would his attempts to stop it worsen things or fix them? Here we see their attempts to stop the future didn't go well. If they had just trained Holly in being a healer, would that have prevented this outcome? Maybe, maybe not.
I know why Hollyleaf was always so mad at Leafpool.

Notice how when Leafpool licks her cheek her eyes turn to hearts? She clearly loves leafpool. That’s probably why hollyleaf was so hurt when Leafpool rejected her, but it wasn’t until she let sandy die that hollyleaf truly hated her.

Absolutely beautiful. I’ve been waiting for this one ever since I came across the original storyboard. The concept behind it, the tie-in to the other projects, I was in love with the idea from the beginning. Hollyleaf always stuck with me, the only sibling with no powers, yet aching so badly to be of service, and to go through the development from adhering almost too strongly to the Code to taking out Ashfur when she felt it needed to be done. I always had a soft spot for her and wondered what would’ve happened if she’d been given a power of her own.
I absolutely adore the deer imagery, as they’re often depicted as soft, gentle creatures, but they’re just as capable of brutality as other animals in nature. I love how expressive Hollyleaf is portrayed too; I feel like I can feel her pain throughout, and her longing to contribute to her Clan and family in the way she feels most meaningful. The song choice is also amazing, this project was how I found this song actually, and I’ve been listening to it nonstop haha
I’m done rambling now lol, everyone did a fantastic job on this one, and it came out beautifully ❤

i just wanted to say thank you so much to all of the animators that made this project possible. honestly idk why it just feels so magical everytime i watch this or hear the family crests music and i love it. i not only have had a weird obsession with this map for no reason, but i also found a love for music that i never had before after hearing beneath the brine. i then listened to alot of family crest music and explored other music artists and now basically can't live without music. that made me interested in singing and perhaps even learning an instrument one day. i always thought I sucked at singing but im just getting better and better and I love it. thank you.
I am so overwhelmed with how beautifully this came together!! Such a fantastic and talented group of animator and artists! I am honored to have participated in this and I’m ecstatic to see what’s to come!
Okay just want to say; what a phenominal project. The outcome for all of these is always just AMAZING but I especially loved the concept for this MAP since Holly has always been a favourite. I am just super happy to see these projects all come together. The art direction for this project was beautiful too, I still stare at it like omg it's just,,, I'm speechless? I'd honestly live in this MAP it's gorgeous. Tysm Cheet for letting me participate and a big thank you to Cheet, Lettuce and Lou for bringing this whole project together. I always look so forward to all these projects and their outcomes, I constantly lurk in the chats to see wips every day of the week. Everyone who came together to work on this did amazing, everyone is so talented and despite the different art styles and art techniques, everything flows so beautifully that you almost forget you're not watching one continuous movie. I love Hollyfawn, I definitely have to say this and Serpent Sol are a hard 'I can't choose for first place' kind of maps they're all so beautifully done
You know, I say only say this when something really is of this quality. But I have to say that this is beautiful, I mean it. You can really feel the emotion through how it is conveyed in each second of this project. I also really do think that this came from the hearts of the animators, and that everyone worked hard to make sure this came out the best it can be. I really appreciate people who really put their heart and soul into what they do, and I hope that everyone who participated in this has a great day.

i have no words this MAP left me speechless. the music entwined with the story is gorgeous and brilliant. the way the characters are designed and written. ive never seen a better way anyone has ever done to Hollyleaf's character. that fight scene gave me legitimate chills. im absolutely astounded by this beautiful piece of animation. bravo to every animator and every person who worked on this. 100/10 map, definitely my favorite ever

now idk if this is entirely true but i like how the vision deer has heterochromia. it might symbolize both squirrelflight and leafpool maybe? i couldn't put two and two together, but i like the idea anyway. the vision deer destroying the tree deer can also be symbolized as leafpool destroying hollyleaf's dreams with squirrelflight not stopping her
No surprise, but this came out beautifully. I love the palettes of this MAP and Sol’s, they feel so varied and lively, especially with all the flowers. Everyone tied every scene together so nicely, but the climax fight from start to finish is CHILLING! Enjoyable MAP to watch all the way through, everyone should be so proud!!
