I kinda like how Hawkfrost was drawn in this. He's usually depicted as slender and more angular than Brambleclaw or Tigerstar, even though Leafpool said his body shape was similar to Tigerstar.

2:40 I like how when their spirits rise, Brambleclaw seemingly accepted his fate and slowly arose to his feet, but Ashfur swiftly gets up, immediately attacking him as if it was part of the plan
I love the way that ashfur throws hawkfrosts fur out of his hand like it’s worthless because he tried to help him but the plan didn’t work. It shows how possessive and manipulative someone can turn if they have feelings for someone but they don’t feel the same way. It really shows ashfur commitment towards the end as he wanted revenge for not getting the love he wanted. This is one of my literal favourite maps to watch because it’s so interesting as it shows a lot of emotion towards the characters, more than the books normally show. Good work to the artists they all did amazing to create this masterpiece, keep up all the good work!
TO BE CONTINUED!? I CAN'T WAIT! This MAP was stellar. I've been obsessed with watching the progress for this and everyone's process for it. I am truly inspired by all the talent and teamwork shown in this. The credits sequence animation broke my heart, watching how aggressively Ashfur is holding Squirrelflight's face - it really shows that he isn't just unhinged because he can't have her, he is possessive and cruel now that he does have her. I hope we get some much earned justice against Ashfur in the sequel this one teases.
After hearing that "Becky Apples song", I'm thinking of two Centaurworld AUs. The first one is Horse trying to become and be becky (Just like in the map) and the second one is Horse just being Ashfur after hearing that she’s been replaced and becomes a "Becky Imposter" after she dies.
I love Roseshard's part. I don't often see her animate sharp and angular cats, but her style is perfect for it. To be continued??? I'm guessing Ferncloud suspects that Brambleclaw killed Ashfur and she's mad. Edit: whelp, judging by the latest teaser I think it's Jayfeather.
@@Penk4 I'd definitely say that Ferncloud is the most likely. Since this AU takes place right after Hawkfrost's death, neither Ivypool or Hollyleaf would've been born yet. Plus I can see that she'd notice that Ashfur, her brother, is missing all of the sudden. Though guessing Hollyleaf or Ivypool does make sense with the plants growing at the very end.

i love how this take on ashfur makes him just... more unhinged! i always felt like that was the tone the writers were slipping into, but they just... didnt seem to go far enough with it. this is a really interesting au!
I love bramble's characterization in this compared to canon. He seems a lot more meek and soft- still capable and strong, but not as hardened in terms of personality. I loved seeing his expressions and how he interacted with the other characters
I really like how the charachter designs stay mostly the same in every map you make. Really helps connect them and make it feel like the same universe as you intend it to be.
I cannot get over roseshards' part in this project. It is so polished and expressive, everyone did a gorgeous job but theirs is probably my favorite. They've come so far. ❤
Can't wait for this map to be a literal nostalgia. The idea for this was so amazing, I mean, that's what I call creativity! Also, to be continued? I tought that is Shadowsight, but it wouldn't've been him since, if this takes place when Hawkforst died, than, he wouldn't've been born. Also, at 2:44, I really liked the detail of Ashfur's body burn. I REALLY LOVED that part!!
After some thinking I’m fairly sure it’s Ferncloud. At first when I saw it I thought it was Ashfur, sense the first shot of the back of their head looked so similar to his. But, obviously we literally SAW his body get burned plus the colors and markings are ever so slightly different. Which would make sense is this is meant to be Ferncloud, them being siblings they would of course look similar to each other! Plus, at the final shot of the cats paws with see green plants grow around them, I believe being an extra hint to the cats identity. And who else then Ferncloud fits all those requirements? Though, that only leaves one question, why would she be after “Brambleclaw” or/and Squirrelflight? My best assumption is that she blames “Brambleclaw” for Ashfurs death? I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
Oh! And another thing is that, if you look at Squirrelflight's paws, she and the unknown cat has the same paw design. The cat has the same paw markings as Squirrel and they (fern and squirrel) are related. So i'm sure is her! And ALSO ALSO Ashfur and that cat's head markings are the same! Aaaaa now i'm really sure is Ferncloud
I’ve seen many warriors MAPs in my day (been watching warriors stuff since I was 11) and I must say that this was THE best MAP I have ever watched. I’ve never enjoyed watching an MAP as thoroughly as this before. This was incredible and flawless! each animator characterised Ashfur so perfectly with the singer’s inflections and voice, and the plot was so exciting, gripping and imaginative. It was a breath of fresh air tbh. Right from the get go it flowed so fantastically. Outstanding work to all the animators ❤️ Cheetah your MAP plots are stunning, and your Werewhisker MAP comes up as a close second.
HECK YEAH IT'S DONE LES GO!!!! Seriously tho, I love the fact that Ashfur's acting is so consistent throughout the parts. The comedy was also really well timed and I genuinely had a ton of fun watching it! Congrats to everyone who participated!
I think the ending cat is hollyleaf. it's important to remember that this is a au and some events may be out of order, as shown by how in this ashfur possesses brambleclaws body sometime soon after hawkfrosts death where in the books those to events are drastically apart. It's very possible that in this au the three are already around, and are apprentices. in the background of 2:52 we see three cats, one of them is firestar (its clearly his design) but the other two I can only guess. I think the brown one is leafpool, which would make sense she's important to the clan as the medicine cat. The third is the one I think we see in the after credits, and they are very blurry in this shot but they are very visually similar to leafpool, with the same lighter under bellie and tufted cheeks. This similarity, coupled with how hollyleaf originally wanted to be a medicine cat and killed ashfur convinces me that this is when hollyleaf was recently apprenticed. also the leaves grown at the foot of this cat are very sharp like holly. Maybe I'm reading into this to much but that just shows how interesting this au is, good job cheeteh and all the animators!

the black cat might be shadowsight (with the implication that leafpool lived the rockslide or it never happened at all) since shadowsight is the one who saved brambleatar which made him get possessed by ashfur
AHHH THIS IS GORGEOUS!! THE SONG FITS EVERYTHING SO WELL!! all the animators did amazing with the scenes, the charecters, the colors, and the fluidness! the story and details are so well-drawn and clear! absolutely loved this map!
My goodness! This is outstanding!! Not any other MAP could have THIS MUCH emotion into it. The little details from the toe bean wiggles in Sagutoyas’ part and his hind legs going down and up in one of the first few parts is AMAZING!! Not to mention the animation with the credits conveys the annoyed expression in Squilf’s face while Ash squeezes her face. And the bonus scene at the end- this MAP is a Greatest of all Time!

Okay, I keep coming back to this map. It's so good, man. This absolutely unhinged Ashfur is just so entertaining to watch, and the animators put so much work selling how insane he is. Like he's having a good time being absolutely messed up 90% of the time.
The Way Ashfur and Brambleclaw Were fighting Near The Volcano Was So Intense, But Other than That I Love this MAP! Everyone did amazing on their parts!

I just can not get over the extra personality this song give Ashfur! It's so great, and just surprisingly fits him so well! I also seriously can't get over that Ashfur is just so crazy for Squirrelflight, that we all easily see him doing something this insane for her. Phenomenal job everyone! You all did such an amazing job catching the swinginess of this song and transferring it into Ashfur! Also that end teaser!!!
loved this map and I just wanna say I love how we went from feeling sorry for Ashfur and justifying his actions, to seeing the real monster he is, it's really refreshing to see that we aren't justifying a villain's actions anymore and just enjoying the villains as they are, which is villains. 😁😁

I honestly find it funny that this was posted on Christmas Day. Because of the whole theme, it’s what’s least expected, but I love it! Nice job on all the participants part and the thumbnail artist! Honestly can’t wait for more unique ideas in the future!
So many people commented so fast! No wonder though, this map is amazing, all of the parts flow so beautifully and it has it an undertone of dark comedy which I think really adds to the map. So wonderfully animated! And I’m very excited for the next map!
This is, without a doubt, one of my favorite MAPs of all time. Each time I watch it, I'm continually in awe of the talent of everyone involved. The song choice is absolutely perfect, as well. One of the few I've watched multiple times in the same day, LOL.
This is absolutely beautiful! The execution of this project is so well put together. I love the illustrated concept that Ashfur first hid under Hawks pelt to take revenge, then later on his anger burns up to a point where he’s willing to take things into his own hands
This was too good not to comment. This map showed so much emotion and feels allowing you to really get into this map, the animation and artwork is phenomenal and I love nice flowing maps like this. Everything went together nicely and the storyboard was well thought of. I’ve always loved watching your other maps and the interesting topics you go off of. You take map making to another level Cheeteh Z. Your storyboards are well thought of and they’re not only allowing warriors to play it’s part into the map but you bring ideas and creations no one has ever thought to use before. You’ve earned yourself a follow. I hope to continue seeing amazing maps such as this one in the future. Great job as well to all the amazing artists that joined this map. This is probably one of the best looking maps I’ve ever seen. ❤️❤️
Just came here from the Serpent & the stars map call, I noticed that at 1:53 skinned Hawkfrost’s eye comes at just like how in the new map call Brambleclaw loses an eye, what a small but nice tie-in.
Not only did you choose a good song, but you also made a great, storyboarded map. I love how you always change what happens in the books and just make it even more interesting. I love the plot that Ashfur was ACTUALLY the first one to reach the body, if you want a good map, ask Cheeteh Z.
Ashfur had his heart broken, but he let himself follow the wrong path. Squirrelflight was in love with a different Tom, and he couldn't accept it. He deserved to go to the dark forest tbh. It's okay to be a little lovesick, but he tried to kill her kits, shock weren't even hers, and then give away her secret.
oh my GOSH! Not being very up to date with the community, there is such CLEAR improvement in so many artists Ive known for years here. everyone did such an incredible job I'm absolutely beyond blown away! Well done to everyone involved :)
Hawkfrost's face looked so innocent- what if he didn't know who his dad was? What if he was never exposed to clan life? What if his dad never walked in his dreams?.
I just knew that the existence of TBC will cause the creation of many more amazing projects with Ashfur and damn this is a great one for sure. Amazing job by all the artists
What an amazing map. Seriously.. this is INDESCRIBABLY good and I love the super dark unhinged version of ash fur and his obsession with not only squirrelflight, but ALSO brambleclaw! This AU is just SO genius in so many ways and EVERYONE did a stellar job keeping the unhinged vibe and movements this new Ashfur gave off consistently in each part. It amazes me how this community has somehow made wild cats convey so much emotion, tackle difficult subjects like death, trauma, loss, & mental health while still managing to stay true to the books & engaging people with these amazing MAPS that anyone could somehow relate to or simply fall in love with such unique stories and characters. This has to be one of my favorite warrior cats maps of all time. It still amazes me how such talented storytellers and animators have built this community and we STILL haven’t gotten a warriors cats movie! Seriously.. the amount of talent this community has shown over the course of almost 10+ years & STILL getting millions of views per video never ceases to amaze me and the quality of these MAPS and stories just keep getting better. You all deserve all the praise you’ve received, and this goes for the everyone else who’s ever worked on a warrior cats map! If I could comment this on every map I would💙 Well done indeed. I think I can speak for everyone’s inner child when I say, thank you so much for bringing these characters to life, when they brought me such comfort reading them as a kid by letting my imagination run wild the moment Rusty stepped into the forest for the very first time. I noticed at 4:42 when Squirrelflight is with Bramblefur, You can see another cat in the distance. But as I look closer into the scene, it somewhat looks like Holly leaf. When she unsheathes her claws. Plants grow out of the ground. This was possibly foreshadowing the HollyFawn Map.
I don't get all the people talking about how bad they feel for Ashfur after watching this. Why? This is probably one of the least sympathic portrayals of him I can think off. We aren't shown any of his hurt after being broken up with, we aren't shown Brambleclaw being an asshole or him being manipulated by Hawkfrost, all we see is Ashfur being a creepy jerk, then killing Brambleclaw and stealing his body
This isn't me saying the MAP is bad btw, in case that isn't clear!! The MAP is great and I love it, it's a very interesting concept animated by incredibly skilled artists.
@@gantz22ify regardless of if you're talking about his whole breakup thing or stealing someone's body, absolutely not no, not everyone has done that and if you've done either of those things I'm concerned for the well-being of the people around you, nothing Ashfur did in response the breakup was rational or ok. Love is never an excuse to hurt people (or steal their bodies)

I cannot get over roseshards' part in this project. It is so polished and expressive, everyone did a gorgeous job but theirs is probably my favorite. They've come so far. ❤

Also, at 2:44, I really liked the detail of Ashfur's body burn. I REALLY LOVED that part!!
At first, l thought the cat at the end is Jayfeather(because he has a gray fur ), but we didn't see him in this AU 🤔

After some thinking I’m fairly sure it’s Ferncloud. At first when I saw it I thought it was Ashfur, sense the first shot of the back of their head looked so similar to his. But, obviously we literally SAW his body get burned plus the colors and markings are ever so slightly different. Which would make sense is this is meant to be Ferncloud, them being siblings they would of course look similar to each other! Plus, at the final shot of the cats paws with see green plants grow around them, I believe being an extra hint to the cats identity. And who else then Ferncloud fits all those requirements? Though, that only leaves one question, why would she be after “Brambleclaw” or/and Squirrelflight?
My best assumption is that she blames “Brambleclaw” for Ashfurs death? I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

Oh! And another thing is that, if you look at Squirrelflight's paws, she and the unknown cat has the same paw design.
The cat has the same paw markings as Squirrel and they (fern and squirrel) are related. So i'm sure is her!

1:46 - This scene is actually really cool, I can totally imagine Ashfur trying to win over Squirrelflight's heart by becoming more Bramble like.
I’ve seen many warriors MAPs in my day (been watching warriors stuff since I was 11) and I must say that this was THE best MAP I have ever watched. I’ve never enjoyed watching an MAP as thoroughly as this before. This was incredible and flawless! each animator characterised Ashfur so perfectly with the singer’s inflections and voice, and the plot was so exciting, gripping and imaginative. It was a breath of fresh air tbh. Right from the get go it flowed so fantastically. Outstanding work to all the animators ❤️ Cheetah your MAP plots are stunning, and your Werewhisker MAP comes up as a close second.
Fun fact: the first novel I was able to read was Crookedstars promise.

Seriously tho, I love the fact that Ashfur's acting is so consistent throughout the parts. The comedy was also really well timed and I genuinely had a ton of fun watching it! Congrats to everyone who participated!
I think the ending cat is hollyleaf. it's important to remember that this is a au and some events may be out of order, as shown by how in this ashfur possesses brambleclaws body sometime soon after hawkfrosts death where in the books those to events are drastically apart. It's very possible that in this au the three are already around, and are apprentices. in the background of 2:52 we see three cats, one of them is firestar (its clearly his design) but the other two I can only guess. I think the brown one is leafpool, which would make sense she's important to the clan as the medicine cat. The third is the one I think we see in the after credits, and they are very blurry in this shot but they are very visually similar to leafpool, with the same lighter under bellie and tufted cheeks. This similarity, coupled with how hollyleaf originally wanted to be a medicine cat and killed ashfur convinces me that this is when hollyleaf was recently apprenticed. also the leaves grown at the foot of this cat are very sharp like holly. Maybe I'm reading into this to much but that just shows how interesting this au is, good job cheeteh and all the animators!
True, but it seems like the cat next to Firestar and Leafpool has amber/yellow eyes. And I believe Hollyleaf canonically has green eyes.

the black cat might be shadowsight (with the implication that leafpool lived the rockslide or it never happened at all) since shadowsight is the one who saved brambleatar which made him get possessed by ashfur
id like to note that the black cat in the ending has similar markings as squilf

AHHH THIS IS GORGEOUS!! THE SONG FITS EVERYTHING SO WELL!! all the animators did amazing with the scenes, the charecters, the colors, and the fluidness! the story and details are so well-drawn and clear! absolutely loved this map!
My goodness! This is outstanding!! Not any other MAP could have THIS MUCH emotion into it. The little details from the toe bean wiggles in Sagutoyas’ part and his hind legs going down and up in one of the first few parts is AMAZING!! Not to mention the animation with the credits conveys the annoyed expression in Squilf’s face while Ash squeezes her face. And the bonus scene at the end- this MAP is a Greatest of all Time!

Okay, I keep coming back to this map. It's so good, man. This absolutely unhinged Ashfur is just so entertaining to watch, and the animators put so much work selling how insane he is. Like he's having a good time being absolutely messed up 90% of the time.

I just can not get over the extra personality this song give Ashfur! It's so great, and just surprisingly fits him so well! I also seriously can't get over that Ashfur is just so crazy for Squirrelflight, that we all easily see him doing something this insane for her. Phenomenal job everyone! You all did such an amazing job catching the swinginess of this song and transferring it into Ashfur!

loved this map and I just wanna say I love how we went from feeling sorry for Ashfur and justifying his actions, to seeing the real monster he is, it's really refreshing to see that we aren't justifying a villain's actions anymore and just enjoying the villains as they are, which is villains. 😁😁

This map was gorgeous! The red tint, the sharp style that Ash’fur has, and the smoothness between the parts! It all just adds to make a beautiful map!
So many people commented so fast! No wonder though, this map is amazing, all of the parts flow so beautifully and it has it an undertone of dark comedy which I think really adds to the map. So wonderfully animated! And I’m very excited for the next map!

This is, without a doubt, one of my favorite MAPs of all time. Each time I watch it, I'm continually in awe of the talent of everyone involved. The song choice is absolutely perfect, as well. One of the few I've watched multiple times in the same day, LOL.

I love the illustrated concept that Ashfur first hid under Hawks pelt to take revenge, then later on his anger burns up to a point where he’s willing to take things into his own hands
This was too good not to comment. This map showed so much emotion and feels allowing you to really get into this map, the animation and artwork is phenomenal and I love nice flowing maps like this. Everything went together nicely and the storyboard was well thought of. I’ve always loved watching your other maps and the interesting topics you go off of. You take map making to another level Cheeteh Z. Your storyboards are well thought of and they’re not only allowing warriors to play it’s part into the map but you bring ideas and creations no one has ever thought to use before. You’ve earned yourself a follow. I hope to continue seeing amazing maps such as this one in the future. Great job as well to all the amazing artists that joined this map. This is probably one of the best looking maps I’ve ever seen. ❤️❤️

Just came here from the Serpent & the stars map call, I noticed that at 1:53 skinned Hawkfrost’s eye comes at just like how in the new map call Brambleclaw loses an eye, what a small but nice tie-in.

Ashfur had his heart broken, but he let himself follow the wrong path. Squirrelflight was in love with a different Tom, and he couldn't accept it. He deserved to go to the dark forest tbh. It's okay to be a little lovesick, but he tried to kill her kits, shock weren't even hers, and then give away her secret.

What an amazing map. Seriously.. this is INDESCRIBABLY good and I love the super dark unhinged version of ash fur and his obsession with not only squirrelflight, but ALSO brambleclaw! This AU is just SO genius in so many ways and EVERYONE did a stellar job keeping the unhinged vibe and movements this new Ashfur gave off consistently in each part. It amazes me how this community has somehow made wild cats convey so much emotion, tackle difficult subjects like death, trauma, loss, & mental health while still managing to stay true to the books & engaging people with these amazing MAPS that anyone could somehow relate to or simply fall in love with such unique stories and characters. This has to be one of my favorite warrior cats maps of all time. It still amazes me how such talented storytellers and animators have built this community and we STILL haven’t gotten a warriors cats movie! Seriously.. the amount of talent this community has shown over the course of almost 10+ years & STILL getting millions of views per video never ceases to amaze me and the quality of these MAPS and stories just keep getting better. You all deserve all the praise you’ve received, and this goes for the everyone else who’s ever worked on a warrior cats map! If I could comment this on every map I would💙 Well done indeed. I think I can speak for everyone’s inner child when I say, thank you so much for bringing these characters to life, when they brought me such comfort reading them as a kid by letting my imagination run wild the moment Rusty stepped into the forest for the very first time. I noticed at 4:42 when Squirrelflight is with Bramblefur, You can see another cat in the distance. But as I look closer into the scene, it somewhat looks like Holly leaf. When she unsheathes her claws. Plants grow out of the ground. This was possibly foreshadowing the HollyFawn Map.

I don't get all the people talking about how bad they feel for Ashfur after watching this. Why? This is probably one of the least sympathic portrayals of him I can think off. We aren't shown any of his hurt after being broken up with, we aren't shown Brambleclaw being an asshole or him being manipulated by Hawkfrost, all we see is Ashfur being a creepy jerk, then killing Brambleclaw and stealing his body
This isn't me saying the MAP is bad btw, in case that isn't clear!! The MAP is great and I love it, it's a very interesting concept animated by incredibly skilled artists.

@@gantz22ify regardless of if you're talking about his whole breakup thing or stealing someone's body, absolutely not no, not everyone has done that and if you've done either of those things I'm concerned for the well-being of the people around you, nothing Ashfur did in response the breakup was rational or ok. Love is never an excuse to hurt people (or steal their bodies)
