Great video. I just ordered the izula 1 with a g10 handle. Strolling through videos I stopped on yours and saw that eskabar and I think I fell in love... im going to have to add that one to the list. The design and specs look perfect for me.
I went with BK14 because I got a good deal on a used one with izula micarta scales on it. It’s been my go-to small belt knife on many nights in the woods. Can’t go wrong either way. Be careful with the Becker sheath though, it’s been known to dull your edge. I replaced with kydex and it’s hard to beat now
Did you make your own or did you buy it aftermarket? They're definitely both great knives that should last a long time. I love the size and utility of the smaller fixed blades. Thanks for watching
Honestly I've been burnt out on knife channels bc of the BS and hype they propagate. love yours. Keep doing what you're doing. Subscribed. Just got an Izula in S35VN. Plan on carrying IWB.
I haven't had time to put out much content the last few months! Spending time with Grandkids and health issues take up most of my time. I started channel while recovering from Cervical Fusion surgery and have never taken myself seriously. I know what your saying on the gear reviewers on RUclips! Still don't understand 15-20 minute videos on a knife and can't stand the misc rumblings that most include in content. Thanks for positive comments and watching
Just ordered a black oxide Izula and a Armatus carry sheath, as well as some paracord to wrap it. This will be my first fixed blade I’ll be trying out for edc (horizontal carry) ... from what I’ve seen it looks like i picked a winner!
AWESOME Knife comparison!! I own the EXACT Izula you do,... same scales and I love it!! Appreciate the great insight Bro!! ESEE has a new model called the Silencio Im lookin 8:14 g at possibly purchasing. It's the size of the Becker but it's an ESEE. You've probally seen it I'm sure but if you haven't give it a look!!
Even though I have multiple ESEE and Becker knives, Getting these 2 side by side really shows the extra quality of the Izula II. Thanks for the positive comment and for watching!
In Germany the ESEE Izula II is at 150€ now. That is insane! Maybe a good knife but not worth the price. The Becker you can get for 70. So you could buy two BK14 for one Izula.
She was until Covid hit! The local Tandy leather store closed and the Rodeos/craft fairs got shut down. She loved making leather products (purses, Hand bags, Wallets, And Sheaths) in her spare time ! Hopefully as things get back to normal I can get her back up to speed. Thanks for watching
Are you left or right handed? Im trying to suss out how it sits on your belt. Do you notice any difference in steel performance between the ESEE and Becker
Right handed! The quality (initial) is better on the ESEE, But once sharpened, I haven't noticed the difference between the two. Hope this helps and thanks for watching
@@knifevideochannel4657 it does. I expected it to get better after sharpening a few times, at least it's my experience (somewhat limited vs SS)with carbon steel.
So I got my izula with the g10 scales. I like the g10 scales but I'm not crazy about the size of the izula. I have the bk14 coming in the mail soon. I want to get an armatus sheath on it (bk14) but am curious what handles will fit the armatus sheath. I'm surprised that the izula 2 and the bk14 have the same sized handles but only the izula 1 handles fit on the bk14.
That's the reason I didn't get the Kydex for the BK14 Randy, Also had the leather wrapped stock version my wife made. Maybe email him about fit availability?!? Thanks for watching
I ended up ordering the artamus true hide whip in black kydex sheath and paired it with brown/black micarta scales off of the knife connection. On the armatus website they say they pair together. Little pricey for what I was originally trying to spend but I figured spend a bit extra and get good merchandise with great warranty. Found a 15% discount for the armatus website. Was trying to find one for TKC but no luck.
Can't go wrong with TKC scales Randy. I have them on an ESSE 6/PR4, Becker BK9, And Ontario RTAK 2. Great quality products and perfect fit N Finish. I may buy a set of the extended Scales for ESEE 4 if I end up keeping it. Let me know what your impressions are of both Randy ... congrats.
I have both and the BK14 is a better slicer , it has a wider blade and is thinner behind the edge , the problem is I have XL hands and can only get barely 1/2 a pinky on the handle. The Izula has a bigger handle and fits my hand perfectly , if you have smaller hands than me , Id definitely go with the Becker , fit and finish doesn't mean anything in the woods , but thats my opinion , they are both great little knives , just something to think about ....👍🖖 Edit ; Im sorry , i just realized I have the Esee Izula-ll and the handle Is about 1/2" longer than the regular Izula and the Becker , now if they put That Handle on the Becker 14 it would be Perfect ...😁👍

Thanks For Watching
How is ut holding up?
Been carrying the black oxide izula 2 and armarus sheath for 2 weeks now. I suddenly have some folding knives for sale

I've been recovering from lumbar fusion so I have kept track of new offerings, Thanks for heads up on new ESEE. Thanks for watching
ESSE Izula II Black Oxide and Esse Xancudo S35V are my 2 EDC . I'm starting to become huge Esse Fan . I love the all the S35 line up .
I'm on the preorder list for the S35VN ESEE 4 at Knifeworks, Any day now supposedly. Thanks for watching
The Becker sheath is a different plastic than the Izula it dulls the knife fast. There’s a video showing it on YT
Thanks for the info and for watching
These thicknesses are ridiculous
Bring back the .08!
Thanks for watching
Yay no ads!
Thanks for watching
Super great vid I always had my eye on that ezula 2 but always buying too many other knives!!!!! Thanks dude

Luv my s35vn Izula with G10 handle scales 💪😎
It's one of the best for its size! Thanks for watching
Ive been carrying the black oxide izula 2 for a couple of weeks, my only complaint is that it smells like piss
Made me laugh, You know I'm going to have to pull it out and check the smell. Thanks for watching

Bonjour So which one is the best ?
ESEE Izula has better fit and finish! Thanks for watching

If there's a cooler word in the English language that "steel," I haven't heard it.
Thanks for watching Tim
pronounced Arm-uh-tis
Appreciate the clarification Matthew and thanks for watching
Too much fidgeting :/
Thanks for watching
so this wasn't really a knife review
Never said it was, Why the channel is called Knife Video Channel. Thanks for watching Workout
Eskabar is a shit knife. Literally threw it away
Thanks for watching
BK14 is better, no question...
ESEE is overrated...
Thanks for your input Red and for watching!
