This helped a lot, just one heads up, MY buttons didn’t get super tactile again after the first 3 runs of alcohol. BUT, although the buttons remained kind of the same, my up arrow which was the one giving me problems stopper sticking and popped up a little bit. Also, I used to be able to move up the left and right arrows and it would trigger the up arrow, this doesn’t happens anymore. So if you have a similar problem, definitely do this method

Worked like a treat! If you don’t have a cotton bud or the alcohol solution, use anti bacterial wipes! Make sure they are not dry otherwise it won’t work. Cheers!

Yeahhh... For another problem with your button that might be necessary, but usually stuff just gets into the button over time and causes it to stick which is a really easy fix.

How y'all doing? I don't know if someone commented this before me, however, I tried with hand sanitizer 75% alcohol:
- You tip with a drop the head of the q-tip (just a drop) then you start rubbing the button (just like The guy did) and start tapping until you see the stickyness and solidified sweat going out of the button.
- If you can't do it the first time, you can do it again (remember, just a drop, more than that can damage your controller for good)
- that's basically it.
I've had 4 different ds4's and I sweat my hands like A LOT and I burned 3 out 4 ds4 'X' buttons. I damaged one with the 91% alcohol proof, not even the 'Triangle' or 'share' buttons are working so I had to replace the motherboard, which was almost as expensive as get a new one. So, I ran out of the rubbing alcohol but had plenty of hand sanitizers due to the pandemic bs.
I hope this works and you can get your ds4 fixed!
