As a technician i always get wary of when a customer wants something diagnosised and fixed but fails to tell me that others had attempted the repair prior to me. Someone had that screen removed before because those screen bezels don't just crack from normal use. It was removed and someone was poking around in there prior to Sorin for sure.
The amount of times an end user told me their screen cracked "on it's own" lol
Thank you so much for all your hard work in creating your repair videos, I learn something new everyday.
I like the perseverance and the new rhythm in your work! Congratulations!
Am just new here. First time in this video to see how to remove the laptop screen haha. Am thankful for this tutorial Sorin. I'm starting learning and familiarize those fuse, resistor I know a lot to know so I keep watch every video.
Thank you sir, this video saves me, i have same laptop from customer having flickering issue , i'd change the display cable and also check another screen but same result, and suddenly display got dim and customer argue me to give me his laptop as the same condition he brought to me, i was in trouble and ask customer for some time, this video save me , i bypass the resistor which act as a fuse as you mention, then it works smoothly, thanks again sir, hats off
This reminds me of a client i had many years ago. They had a store room where they kept all the computers that had issues. Every year they'd clean the room or and let the employees take them home They had me look at them and almost ALL of them had things like screen cakes or says cakes disconnected, bios batteries removed or other various intentionally caused problems. It turns out that a few of the employees figured it that they could "break" their computer, wait until the end of the year and then get to take it home for free and they'd then just go and undo what they did Many of them were sooooooo angry when i came in and was able to "fix" them all up. The company was spending over $200k or year on replacements for stuff that was never even broken. A few people lost their jobs over that one.
I love watching you videos they are so educational and informative...... in regards to removing the laptop screens with the adhesive if they don't come with the pull tabs I always use a little bit of contact cleaner to free the adhesive and it comes off without any problems...... you can see if that helps next time
Sorin Come to Besiktas, and finally barber caught you and taken his revenge...
done this many times and its worked..just reseating the cable can be the difference....same with the video cable on the mainboard....always work from the simplest solutions back the way based on diagnostics.
Excellent tutorial. Thank you!
Yes I've criticised you about fuses in the past, but if I hadn't would I have learned why you don't think it's as important as I thought it was? I still think correctly rated fuses are vital in equipment that is directly connected to mains voltage or has a potential for high current or fire risk. But in some cases the fuse is not about safety, but just a design choice made that may not be as vital as we may think. Experience has taught you when a fuse is not a vital component so I accept your decisions. I have always respected you as a top repair guy :)
Magic in your hands... Sir.
Hello Sorin, yes there are thin gold molybdenum wires used to separate displays like this.
I really like your channel it is very informative thank you.
great video as always ..great haircut 😁
A haircut indeed changes the mood!
You make job like magic. Thanxs
Thank you for video, it worked!
Thank you, this work for me, but too bad i still have to replace the screen, because the old one has flicker issue (could be the flexible wire)
really like your channel it is very informative thank you.
Great tutorial thanks a lot.
I love your enjoyment working in every repair, always with a smile, amazing, love to wat h you an e learn , how much do you charge for a job like this in UK.?
For sure a magic touch 👍🙂
My guy, I thank you
So helpful thanks man.👏
Thank you!
Excellent Video
I had the exact same problem with the same model 2 weeks ago
The connector wasn't connected all the way in
I didn't hear today I CAN'T BELIEVE!!
😅
Very nice laptop 😅😅😂😂
The best item to use to free something that is glued like a battery or a screen is *a strong dental floss pulled back and forth to cut through the adhesive.*
13:14 - Vibrations + humidity is root cause for bad contacts. Once it took me 10 working days on big machine to find connector with bad contacts. It works but it doesnt work well enough.
Hi, do you have a video where you repairing a screen backlight? i have a laptop screen without backlight
I Love The Magic Touch
Hi,is unplugging the battery first a must to prevent it from spoiling or its not? I think my laptopscreen also has problem of loose connector
I had exactly the same problem. For me the problem was the middle screw to motherboard. When i removed it, screen turned on :D.
Hey Sorin! You didn't unplugged the battery the second time, you did like magic hands under the laptop but the battery was connected 😂😂😂😂
My backlight issue is random asus-X515EP sometimes it works sometimes not sometimes it flickers help
Great!
But I prefered the old long videos with no cuts.
Awesome more new videos. 😊
I use a piece of dental floss to work battery along with alcohol(ipa) and saw along edge and pop out comes batteries from phones real easy.
I have a different issue. My screen will light up eventually but I have to power cycle especially when the machine has been shut for hours. Sometimes it comes not on boot screen but later when Windows boot... No idea what causes it. X553MA
But how could you see any circle on the screen since the cable of lcd was disconnected ????
Sr. Sorin, can you make videos to repair bank terminals because i have to learn in my job, please.
... i had need to restart the video to see your new haircut! :))))))))))))
well... from a long while, i have just two haircuts: 3mm long hair, 1 mm long hair.
in that parts where i have hair. 🙄
Nice one
Hello, I'm new in this field of pc repairing, A friend of mine brought a asus X409U, it has a problem because it doesn't turn on at all and every time I plug the power cable I can listen a soft beep coming from the motherboard that repeats and doesn't stop, beeping stops when I unplugged the power, could you please help me with this issue, give an idea please, thanks in advance
Sir magic!
I love the proper calibrated fuse ❤ also my APC UPS have 1 of them by the factory on charging circuit (i discover it wen sort circuit the battery cables and replace it with the same thickness wire as the factory).
Ty Sorin. What do you think about the cooling system on this type of laptos? A fan far away from the cooler?
I think, These laptop use metal body so no problem in heat dissipation.
Hi sir I'm from India I'm using hp pavilion laptop by laptop is turning on only closing the display but open the display it's not on only power light blinking sir
❤ great
Take out the hinge, the the screen it will come out with brackets (left / right).
Hi Sorin ! I often have to deal with glued screen. My solution: I do remove the Hinges and most of the time you can get a view on little tabs to pull the sticky tape.
Sometime they start a bit under the screen. When they are too hard to reach i do what i do when i have to replace a phone battery. Hot pad around 70/75Celcius (depend if cover is made of plastic or Aluminum) for about 6 to 8min, then i try to pull a bit on the screen corner (top corner) and with a pointy tweezers i go fishing for the sticky tape :) !
Last resort i do put some Isopropyl alcohol on a plastic card (i like to use the soft one they put with new Ipad battery) and slide it gently from the side to help me remove the Stickyband.
**Carefull with isopropyl, you can easily ruin the LCD if it goes between the diffusing sheets, that's why i'm dipping the card and not pourring behind the LCD**
Have a nice day !
Lenovo slim screen were made like that with 2 glue pull tapes on the bottom of the screen.
good
my life in a video lol always the screen connector
awsome
If you shine a torch on it, it will shoe the screen. If it's working and just the backlight is gone
Same problem...how to fix it
New hair cut Sorin??
I tried this
I switched screen with a different screen
I changed LCD led vcd cable
All the above did not work
What could be the problem of my PC?
Good job mate 👍
I could fix the same problem by unplugging the vga cable, starting and plugging it back, the backlight started. The problem was caused by some non-English mo3 songs, and their instrumental versions. It’s ideal to listen English songs, and their instrumentals. Songs also defect the Asus batteries, causing X, and immediate drain. Even, if the Windows is legal and activated, the DVD is legal, the code is for the DVD.

@@electronicsrepairschool😂😂😂😂😂
:))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
@@electronicsrepairschool that reply was priceless 🤣🤣
The user probably took the bezels out and realised he/she could not get the screen off and thats when it was shipped to you :p
👍
Nice hair cut
Hello🤝Magic touch 💪💪💪💪✌👏👏👍👍👍👍👋👋👋
respectful sir
how do you record video from microscope
is like a webcam, but with a higher definition, and an own set of software...
The screen bezel got cracked followed by a whack on the back of the head and a stern stop messing with it let Sorin fix it be fore its ruined.
They are probably using a thin guitar string, that's how we get car windscreens out - lol -.
The battery was connected and you pulled the screen out that’s tricky 😂
Accidents can happen, you are right
Wonder what’s look like inside Resistors? Hmm 😊 lol
More Magic...
👍👍👌👌
Zamiast żyłki użyj cienkiego drutu molibdenowego.
Maybe it was a bad connection
TROP FACILE JE VOTE
Doesnt say a lot for the repair shop that sent it in for repair...
I think that they send it it thinking why take the risk when they have Sorin!😀
You know what....
Lets say you charge 80 GBP for this repair.
If you can be 100% sure tthat someone else tried to fix the same issue and failed and this came to you, then the cost should be more than 80 GBP.
It's the moment that you realize the previous technician played there and did things worst.
3:36 isnt there missing part like capacitor or something on top of connector ? like someone pulled plastic cover and raped it out from motherboard with pads and everything or that is original like that ? wierdchamp :) (you see capacitors etc on top and than brown emptiness and than continue) idk im just on third minute love to commentate on way like you know :D
Thats normal, not all capacitors are fitted from factory, that's not dodgy, dodgy is only when I removed them :D
@@electronicsrepairschool hahahahaha true! ok than is approved ! :)
I would probably broke the wifi antenna during screen removal
So disappointing 🤣🤣
