That's great you like it! I feel the same. For that reason I bought a projector and have been watching TV that way.. However the projector is not as bright as a TV, therefore not the best for daytime viewing. My living room decor is Mid century and I don't like looking at a big electronic device on the wall. I know, I'm being picky, however it's what I like. This TV is a great option. But it does carry a steep price. Therefore, conflicted on the purchase.Wait for a good sale

I love the frame. It was a brilliant concept. But I wish it had the display technology from the QN90B the one connect box from the 8K TVs but still had the matte finish of the frame. In my mind that would make the perfect TV/art piece.

We have last years QN90A and this years The Frame 2022. We use the QN90A for HDR-movies/series and gaming in our living room and have The Frame in the bedroom voor watching series and of course displaying art. I think Art mode looks great during the day because in a well lit room you can't see the backlight and it looks like a real painting. When the room gets more dark the screen 'glows' more which makes the Art still look great, but less real. We have the 50-inch version which is 50 Hz, which makes it less suitable for gaming (which we were not planning to do on it anyway), but has the benefit that it reduces stutter, which does bother me sometimes on the QN90A while watching movies. More points of improvement are mentioned in the video (HDR, screen uniformity) but here are some thing I would like to be improved:
    1. Viewing angles; The viewing angles are quite narrow, so the Art looks still good, but different from an angle.
    2. Compared to the QN90A I find Tizen OS a bit slow on The Frame. Sometimes it needs some seconds to load, but still overall it's fine. I actually have more issues with the SmartThings-app (which can be important to upload/add new art pieces to the tv); the loading times can be quite long and it's not that responsive overall. Still the app has many handy functions and options.
    3. After some hours after activating the Art store subscription the subscription was not active anymore in my account. I had to search online for a solution and more people had this issue. I had to make a new Samsung-account, log in with it and than switch to my original account with the subscription to fix it. That was a bit irritating.
    4. The motion sensor works quite well, the tv turns on and off based on the activity in the room. Sadly it only works well after you turn of 'night mode' which means you lose that functionality and you need to turn the tv completely on/off at night. I wish both functionalities would work simultaneously as they should.
Overall it's a great tv, the Art mode is a great and unique feature, my wife is also enjoying it a lot.

I just went and looked at this TV at my local Best Buy and the matte finish blew me away. When they had the art mode enabled it looks like canvas. I have a very bright living room with giant 96” high 12 foot wide sliding glass doors overlooking my pool deck…that matte finish is the selling feature for me with the artwork a close second. Ordering an 85” model from Costco for $3299…they give you a free 5 year warranty and a free 2 year subscription to the Samsung art gallery. I was thinking about going for the 98” TCL for $5k from Best Buy…but that matte finish got me. Thanks for the review.

I saw this TV yesterday for the first time while shopping for the QN-90B. I have a bright room with windows directly facing the TV and was totally unimpressed by the "anti-glare" capability when viewing it at Best Buy. When I saw The Frame I fell in love with it. I've been checking out reviews and this was the best for my purposes. It sealed the deal and I'm pulling the trigger on a 55" Frame today. While I wish it had a few more of the capabilities of the QN-90B, the addition of the matte screen and art mode more than make up for what's lost - at least for my purpose. Thanks for the review that pushed me over the edge!

I was really leaning towards the Frame and this review made up my mind. I didn't know how good of a TV it was and wanted to make sure the system worked for my photos.I am a nature photographer and an avid museum goer. The Frame is great! I've put up some of my photo's and also photos when I go out to museums. Most museums now let patrons take pictures of the art work so I have 40 or 50 shots that are my favorite. The upgrade I would like Samsung to make on the software is that we can make folders of our own photos so that we can curate our own photos. There are so many curated collections that they want to sell us and the My photos is way down at the bottom of the list. Ability to curate our photo's into folders and bring up the My photo's to the top. Thanks for the comprehensive review!

    • @robbailey464

Do you have to shoot your photos at a certain resolution for them to look good on The Frame? All my photos are taken with an iPhone 12 and I'm wondering how they would look on a 65" Frame.
EDIT: I bought the 65” about a week ago and couldn’t be more happy with the TV. After only having the TCL series 4 withe less than 3mgbs of internet speed, I think the TV is awesome. Is see details in old movies I never saw before.
But best of all is the ability to add our photos of family from Our iPhones. And I found a free source of hi res photos of forests and mountains. And the Matt screen is great. No more ugly reflections from the kitchen lights, whether tv is on or off.

Nice to see the Frame getting some airplay as the lifestyle models are often overlooked in the mad rush to proclaim the best of the best.
Many buyers appeared to have issues with art mode and the app with the 2021 model, so it's encouraging to see that any problems have been resolved. One remaining shortfall is the fact that Samsung no longer offers an in-wall rated cable. The "invisible" cable bundled with the display simply doesn't cut it for a premium display offering.
It would also be great to see art mode support added to Samsung's higher end LCD models. Now that the Frame is on the market it's tough not to see any TV as anything less than an unsightly black rectangle.

    • @ijrc01
      @ijrc01 2 года назад +1

@@mosyd8973 I would say it depends on your watching habits. If you use built in Netflix, Amazon, Disney+, it’s not a problem. It’s only on the built in Samsung+ service that I notice the lag. You could of course also connect a Roku or Apply TV, and get entirely away from the Samsung OS.
Art mode works great. You can easily adjust the brightness. Initially I had it turned up bright to make the art look more vivid, then after a few days I realized that when it’s that bright it looks more like a TV and less like natural art. So I’m still figuring out the art feature. But I like it.

Buying one for my new home office as soon as the house is finished. The same static image characteristics that make it great for displaying art also make it great for displaying schematics,, presentations and logos. My builder recently moved offices, and they put The Frame in every one of their new conference rooms for the same reason. Can't wait to have one hanging on the wall behind me during conference calls and web broadcasts. Will also be great for having the news and/or daytime sporting events on in the background whenever I'm not on camera. Hoping the matte finish screen will keep people I'm video conferencing with from seeing what's on the screen in front of me as this was a problem I previously had with a glass dry erase board I used.

It has a IR bounce from the front side, and emitters in each shelf in the center cabinet.

I just purchased the 75 Frame on discount as my old tv broke. I was also looking to the Samsung QN85B in the same size. I knew that the frame is less good with darker details than an Oled and probably the qn85, Our Livingroom has many windows and is bright during the day. And an Oled would not be good because of all the reflections. Our old LED was really annoying.
Found your videos on the frame when looking for how to mount. (great video by the way!)
as i still have the option to return the tv, im still thinking if i shoudl ahve gone with the QN85B that was a bit higher priced due to the better brightness and resolution. However the matte screen on the frame is r3eally awesome. No reflections whatsoever that has annoyed us over the years.
the art is an really cool feature but not a dealbreaker. The picture is awesome when not comparing side by side to a QN85b, but its still in the back of hte head... What do you think, shoudl one ot for the 85b or keep the frame? I am still leaning towards keeping the frame. Since its not mounted on the wall yet, i haven´t had the chance to experience the full feature of how sleek it would be on the wall with art on it. Great videos!

@@ibrahimzain9472 i thougt the difference is not that big. If you have a couple of windows and light in the room from Outside, I would definitely recommend the Frame. The matte screen makes it worth the compromise, for me at least. The art feature is also nice and that the tv is snug to the wall. ( don’t know if the 85 comes with a wall mount. The frame does. ).
Watched one movie yesterday where with very dark scenes and that’s the only time I thought that another tv would have done a better job. But 99% of the time I don’t think of having another tv.

I have the 2021 75" and was thinking about getting an 85" 2022 with mat finish for another room in my house. Was there any difference in the audio performance between year models and do you know if the 85" is different to the 75" in audio performance?
One of the features on the 2021 75" i own is called "Active Voice" i didn't even know was present when purchasing my unit. After purchasing i wondered why i could hear voices so much better when watching movies with my kids around "making constant noises i.e shifting around, eating, talking" compared to my Sony X85J 85" it's night/day better for staying engaged with a movie.
Samsungs notes on the feature below:
    ACTIVE VOICE AMPLIFIER
Whatever’s happening on movie night, Active Voice Amplifier helps ensure you never miss a word. It analyses noise levels in your room and amplifies the dialogue, so that even if the dog’s barking or the kids are arguing, you can hear the words * Performance may vary depending on installation environment and surroundings

  • @tylerbogaard375

Main reason I would not buy one is price. For a 65" Frame TV I'd be looking at $1600 minimum for just the TV. Then since I'm wall mounting, I'd have to get an in-wall rated One-Connect cable which is another $200-$300?! Plus at this point I'd still have to buy a frame if I wanted to have that aspect of it which is probably going to set me back another $300 minimum? So now all-in I'd likely be looking at over $2100 for a 65" Frame TV. Instead I could buy a 65" TCL or Hisense that has better performance for half that price, including a wall mount and anything to hide cables in the wall to match what you'd be looking for from the Frame. So why would I pay an extra $1000 for it to be good at "not being a TV"? Or if I was looking to spend that much on a TV setup, why would I not just get something that's SO MUCH better for that money? I don't know how I could ever justify spending more for a TV to perform worse being used as a TV just so it could look better when it's not being used as a TV. But that's just me I guess.

I’m leaning toward the LG G2, but this was an interesting take. For me, the art aspect is definitely a cool novelty, but not the priority feature. (Ideal would be a G2 with a gallery mode that never distractingly fades to black.)
lIt’s also worth noting: The Samsung Frame and LG G2 are both much thinner than any of the other options, as they both hug the wall much closer than any other TVs. I’d be more open to the mini-LED (Sony X95K) & QLED set technologies if they came thinner.

It’s certainly an unknown. That’s why I’d be inclined to use the Apple TV’s “Ken Burns” slideshow feature which slowly moves each image across the screen, or zooms in or out, until 10 or 20 seconds later (you decide) when it’s time to dissolve to the next photo.
