Seems like B the Installer is really the best installation coach on RUclips! For a non-handy guy like me super helpful. Thanks a lot and continue to motivate us to understand how things are done properly.
I noticed you installed the toggle bolts in horizontally versus vertically. For the correct weight load distribution, the metal tabs need to be vertical to support the advertised weight of the toggle bolt. That is very important. Installing them with the metal tab horizontally reduces the weight the toggle can support and could cause a heavier tv to fall off the wall. Just an FYI. I use to install these in best buy stores for years.
Just so everyone is clear on this... 1. The toggle bolts will hold most weight vertically, but if you have two, one above the other... the metal hits metal when placing them vertically so it's best to angle them a little. 2. The weight of this tv is not a concern, 4 toggle bolts can hold a 300 LB tv, which this is not. Glad people enjoy the video and are saying attention. 😀 ✌️
Compreshensive intructional video. Thanks! Even without the template, using the Samsung provide directions he references: A=3.2 down and B= 8.6 in or whatever, along with this made the install clear. Then double check with the template, if you have it. As he mentions in the video, as long as the two brackets are the right distance apart (also a letter-identified measurement on the Samsung diagram, the self-leveling capacity of the brackets sliding on the slippery stick-on pieces should level it out. Don't be afraid! You got this. TIP: Depending on the size of the screw head you use, you might want to buy some smallish washers. The large-headed black screws provide are fine, if you're fastening to a stud. However, the oblong holes in the mounting plates are fairly wide, up and down, and small screw heads slip right through.
Thank you for your expert guidance. We followed your directions and were successfully able to mount our 55-inch Frame TV. Much better than the directions provided by Samsung!
Thanks! Got it done in under an hour thats to your video. Appreciate the simplicity while still touching on everything needed to get it done accurately.
Fantastic instructional video. Thanks! Definitely use the longer screws for the part of the mount that screws into the back of the tv if you have electrical or hdmi outlets on the wall that the tv will be hanging over. He mentions this towards the end of the video, but in case anyone doesn’t make it that far…
I just installed a Samsung The Frame 55" and found the included instructions and template to be awful. As far making it easy to mount the tv where you want it - if you, say, think you want to mount it 61" on center from the floor, the template isn't marked to show you how far up from the brackets you're mounting that the tv will sit It doesn't even give you a centering line. And I would say most people want to know how far off the ground the tv will sit or if it's centered on a wall or in a particular space. I should also note: I'm a carpenter and I mount a lot of tvs for clients as a courtesy after punch listing a job, so it's not like this was my first rodeo. I got it done - no thanks to Samsung - but for the many DIYers out there who might not have the experience, you're video should be a big help.
Great video. Tonnes of help. Will do the install myself now. Strongly suggest people play around with the wall bracket piece and the square tv bracket before installing them to the wall and t.v.. You'll see how to hang the tv bracket, close the bracket, then raise it slightly to see how the magnet in the tv bracket strongly grabs the tv bracket to the wall bracket. Pretty cool how it is designed. You'll also see how to lift the bottom of the tv bracket to get it to release from the wall bracket.
It's too bad samsung split the wall bracket up into 2 small parts, if it were one big one you would have been able to drill right into studs and the whole install would have been a lot easier.
This, as all things in the world, is explained by money. If they were to have one single piece, they would have to make different mounts for all tv sizes. Having two pieces, they are one size fits all. Easier and cheaper production
Your videos helped me have the confidence to feel like i knew what I was talking about with my professional installers! We got the tv center to the wall when our studs were 24” to center and couldn’t hit a stud and I’m glad we got the toggle bolts so there was no excuse
I’m gonna be honest here, I’d highly recommend not trusting just toggle bolts for these mounts. Typically, we will use them for one side of the plate as long as we can also hit a stud on the other. If you are using just toggles, and you are between studs on both sides of a mount plate, your tv is only being held up by the integrity of that one section of drywall. Maybe not an issue for lighter frame tvs, but anything 65” or bigger and I’d want to get at least one stud on each side. Also, you should never be putting non in-wall rated wires behind your walls. EVER! Those one connect cables are delivering power to your tv. It’s pushing 120volts up to the tv, and you don’t want to play around with that if something goes wrong. Wire molding is inexpensive and paintable, or buy the proper in-wall rated cable from Samsung. If either of those just won’t please you, then hire an electrician to run a proper cable conduit up to the area large enough to pass through the smaller of the two ends on the one connect cable.
This is the video I've been looking for. Just bought a 85 inch qn900a with the slim fit wall mount and I was completely lost on how to install the wall mount. Keep making great content!!
I used your video to hang my 2 frame TVs 65” And 55” but now I wonder if all this was necessary. Have you seen the 3M Claw 65 hooks? It’s crazy that you could used two of these to hang a frame TV into drywall only… and have almost no mark on the wall of you ever took it down.
@BTheinstaller I have a customer who wants to put F TV over the GAS fireplace. This fireplace HAS a chimney to the roofline. There is a window on each side of the fireplace which means there will be at least 4 1/2" of lumber between the window. You have made it look so easy she didn't understand why I couldn't simply run the wire into the wall and out at the bottom. Can you come to Michigan and explain? LOL
Great installation video! My wife and I treated ourselves to the same 75” Frame TV that you demonstrated. I’ve hung a number of flat screen TV’s over the years, bet never a Frame. I didn’t know about the separate controller box-it makes total sense with the overall design of the TV. Now I’ll be able to get the installation location prepped properly Thanks, again!
Two pro tips for future reference... One, do not install a giant TV on a wall without hitting stud/s. Zip anchors can handle the weight, sure, but not the sheetrock. A quick search for AV install nightmares and one will see why. Two, do not install a cable in a wall that is not in-wall rated. This is a code violation anywhere in the US per the NEC - National Electric Code.
Thank you for the video. Great instructions. I drilled in 3 toggle bolts you recommended but on 2 of them, the screw doesn't grab on to the back end. It's just loose. Only 1 of the toggle bolts grabs on and I can tighten that one. Any idea why the other 2 don't tighten correctly?

If you can get more people to install these one their own I would high five you. I HATE putting up Samsung frames. Just a regular tv is up in 20 min. 40 if I have to do an outlet.. but these little shits take an hour. Smh. Too much measuring and math,.. I'm sharing this video with the next person who asks me to put up one of these lol
Probably worked this out already but if it's 3mm at the bottom and 25mm at the top, the hooks are probably not snapping down into the bottom part of the latch. It requires more force than reasonably expected. A Samsung forum poster recommends removing the hooks from the TV to snap them on and off a couple of times before handing the TV.
Super helpful video that clears up some of my questions. But I’m planning to install my Samsung 55” Frame TV on a wall with wood panelling. Any suggestions about working on this uneven surface?
After checking out those toggle bolts you recommended, it says right on the package "Do not use for mounting televisions".... curious why you use them then?
I’m on the search for toggle bolts in the size you mentioned with flathead screws but can’t find. I too will have to use them as the studs aren’t where I would need to center the tv
We use toggle bolts on plaster and lath to hang floating shelves that hold books. They work great! We haven’t installed our mount yet but plan on using toggle bolts.
Why didn't they manufacture the two wall mount brackets be at least 16" long? That way you're pretty much guaranteed to hit a stud, with most houses being 16" oc studs.
How wide are the wall bracket pieces? I’m looking to buy this to buy I have an outlet on the wall that might get in the way of the bracket. Wanted to get those measurements before I purchase and realize it won’t work.

Installed my 2022 75" 2 weeks ago. The big question is, do we leave art mode on most of the time? Would that cause any issues with the TV, backlight, being on most of the time?
The TV is not on, it's on standby mode... So yeah you can leave the art mode on all the time... as for the electricity, it cost the same amount as when you press the red in and off button.
Hi, just purchased this TV in 55, looking as if mounting could be a problem as power, internet/Ethernet and antenna connections are on the wall behind where I plan to install the frame and was suitable to our old tv design. I assume the Ethernet is not required any more, just go wifi but the antenna connection sticks out as also the power connection. I’ll use a remote power connection, just stumped about the antenna? Any suggestions, I’d upload photos if I could
Same here! Please make Sure that you put it in the comments if you find out. I am having the hardest time with this also my TV does not sit flush against the wall. Thanks
I found those toggle bolts at Lowe’s. They’re one of a kind so there’s no other brand there to mix them up with. Sorry I don’t remember the brand name.
Sarah if you scroll down I was able to find them on Amazon and left a link on another comment. Hope that helps. FYI the 3/16 should be strong enough for what you’re doing. The 1/4 is even stronger but will have an ever so slight bigger head. Not sure if it’ll interfere with the TV when hanging due to the slim line bracket. I’ll be hanging my frame this Friday.
This was very helpful - thank you. I have a similar setup with the current electrical outlet behind the TV I’m thinking of replacing with the Samsung Frame- was the power plug face plate an issue or did it end up being flush ? Thanks again
Evidently you don’t understand those anchors are self tapping. You should not pre drill them for a few reasons, not the least of which is you’re unnecessarily removing material that the anchor could grip.
Question: if I had the 2021 Samsung frame with the no gap wall mount (one piece), would the 2022 model be able to just go onto the 2021 one piece wall mount without using the new two piece one?
You can't use no gap wall mount to Samsung the Frame LS03B (2022 ver), since the mount holes and positions on back of the TV are different, for LS03A on the center, while LS03B on left and right side. That's why when you buy the frame 2022 version, you got free slim fit wall mount as one package. And I feel the slim fit wall mount is more solid and stable when hang tv up on the wall, since it comes with pair.

What is the trick to get the top to sit flush? I can't get the mount to magnet/lock-in at the top
Same here! Please make Sure that you put it in the comments if you find out. I am having the hardest time with this also my TV does not sit flush against the wall. Thanks

@BTheInstaller I'm guessing this is not actually your account lol ^^
Do you have a guide for the 43 inch The Frame 2022 as the mount is very different to what you show

Can you mount this on a rock wall?
What type of anchors would you use for concrete walls?

Hi! I’m so sorry if this has been asked- do you have a link for the toggle bolts? Or the exact size you used? Thank you so much!

Anyone know how to remove it from the wall? Everyone says tilt out the top of the screen but ours is completely fixed and won’t come out (2022 model)

Does the one connect box need to be in the same room? Or can i have it in the basement with my cable box?
You could put it in the basement as long as you have enough cable to run between the TV and the box.

Is it possible to use a standard tv mount with this model? Obviously it's not as clean or flush, but possible?
Frame TV doesn't have bolt holes for VESA mount, only their slim mount, which uses two bolt holes.

How do you get the TV fully flush, we purchased a 75” but it’s not sitting flush . Top is about 1.5” out

Have you ever installed this TV on a "built in" wall? (Bookshelves on each side of TV)
Without this video I could NOT have fixed it.. the paper manual in the box is plain in-com-pre-hen-is-ble !!
Great info but I will be paying someone to do it. My OCD would go into overdrive if I mounted it crooked.
