My husband woke me up and told me that when he heard this song he started crying because i was all along saving him from everything. And i came to his life in a perfect timing.
I had a stroke in November and while I was riding the ambulance, I could feel life leaving my body. Literally felt my heart slow down and my breathing become shallow. All I could think of was of my nephew, who is in the autism spectrum and my sole reason for smiling. I kept repeating in my head that I didn't want to die, that I wasn't ready. I'm here today, alive and whole, with this song meaning so much more to me than it did in 2009.
The "I'm not dying" lyric is so powerful, in my opinion. Empowering for those who may be suffering from suicidal ideation and also serves as a reminder to be grateful for your health. It's something a lot of people overlook until it is too late.
people don't like talking about tragedy they can't relate to. Innocence is something we all experience. Some people can't fathom having their lives saved by another, or what that even truly means.
Just as the Red Sea was split open. I saw an angel and it was you. The stories been told a million times. I’m not dying! All you did was save me from the satans underground. You pulled me through. Than I’m-you.
You looked at me as you walked in the room Like the Red Sea you split me open Somehow knew these wings were stolen All you did was save my life Tried to run but I couldn't move Well I paid for these concrete shoes But like a singer that sings the blues You saw hope in the hopeless I'm not dying! All you did was save my life Pulled me out of that flat line Put the heartbeat back inside I'm not dying! All you did was get me through I owe every breath to you Heart and soul unparalyzed All you did was save my life Save my life I'm not for sale but I've been sold The more I hear the less I know The lies are swallowed whole In their insignificance The story's been told a million times But it's different when it's your life I won the lottery tonight The lottery tonight I'm not dying! All you did was save my life Pulled me out of that flat line Put the heartbeat back inside I'm not dying! All you did was get me through I owe every breath to you Heart and soul unparalyzed All you did was save my life I started to come around The dogs are backing down I'm not afraid to see The devil's gone underground This tightrope's been cut down And I can finally breathe You looked at me as you walked in the room Like the Red Sea you split me open Somehow knew these wings were stolen I'm not dying! All you did was save my life Pulled me out of that flat line Put the heart beat back inside I'm not dying! All you did was get me through I owe every breath to you Heart and soul unparalyzed All you did was save my life All you did was save my life (Put the heartbeat back inside) All you did was save my life (Put the heartbeat back inside) All you did was save my life
I feel like this song can be applied to me and how God has saved my life from suicide 3 times, regardless of that this is a beautiful song but I can appreciate the feelings of relatability I connect with open as I listen to this song
Years and years away from the church and I just got so lucky to find a church that does a TON of good work and needed help. Years of depression, I had been through so much, death, all of it. This song hits me hard, like so hard now.
For those wondering why this has low views and likes, I'm pretty sure this video was region locked for quite some time. I remember viewing it here in America on RUclips when it first came out then started getting the "this is not available in your region message". I ended up just buying and downloading on iTunes to be able to watch it since it's one of my favs.
1. Is Anybody Home? 2. All You Did Was Save My Life 3. Somewhere Out There 4. 4am That’s all that has to be said from me That, and those three songs have helped save my life more times than I can count I’m so grateful for music and for great artists like this who can touch your soul and heal you without even knowing it My thanks As a person with mental health, I need as many lifelines as I can get, I’ll never have enough and music has saved me, this band included in one of the artists who have saved me, just by reaching out with their music My eternal gratitude 💜 Much love Always going to try to spread more peace, more love, and more kindness into this world one day at a time, one comment at a time The world needs more love, less hate, more unity over the suffering we survive and yet sometimes create, by our minds decline or simply by mistake, I wish the world a million of wishes of healing, we can help the world and each other by being a loving and more kind human being I just wrote that on the spot right now -much love to all The Canadian Poet This is a poem and tribute I wrote to music in general but also to this band I have named it The Our Lady Peace Poem 💜 Peace and love to all -The Canadian Poet
Interesting to see the difference in perspective with the younger listeners compared to old fogeys like me who grew up on Naveed to Spiritual machines, this just seems like generic pop rock to me, haven't really been able to get into new OLP stuff, I like some of it from all their albums but those first four had no filler in my mind. Oddly enough Raine's solo stuff is exceptional. At the end of the day though if you like it then more power to you. ;)
I love OLP so much but I've never watched the video until now... This is such an upbeat song, why does the video look like a werewolf trying to date rape a girl in the woods?
Maybe it's because I'm getting old, and I grew up with Naveed, Clumsy etc. But this just sounds so lazy, and generic for Our Lady Peace. Not knocking anyone for liking it. It's just that the quality of their first three albums, is non existent to me here🤷♂️
Just different directions man. Listen to their newer album, it's definitely not as raw as their first few. But I think since they're artists they gotta change stuff up, Raine is always looking to do new stuff. I love their first few, but I grew on the new music a bit. Could be getting old, music tastes change, what you knew is no longer, sucks, I wish they'd put out an album like Naveed but I'm happy with their newer stuff.
Uploaded 8 years ago, barely 10,000 views. Yikkes. Love OLP but man this song is just so dull musically and especially lyrically. Could very well be the worst lead single that band has ever released.

This band has saved my life more times than I can count with this song as well as 4am, Somewhere Out There and Is Anybody Home

I love this s
How does this not have more views? It's just as good as Innocence tbh.
it is just as good! our lady peace doesn't get the respect they deserve
Shay LeMoine ikr
I think it was region locked for a while
cuz this is mediocre and bland compared to their earlier stuff
and there isn't a good enough song there to make up for it

Can't wait to hear this live again! Best live band EVER

I truly love the heaven out of this.
Our Lady Peace music got me years ago.
One of the last great OLP songs.
i used to love our lady peace when i was in elementary school brings back good memories
Thank you OLP
All you did was save my life; literally and repeatedly with this song 💜
You looked at me as you walked in the room
Like the Red Sea you split me open
Somehow knew these wings were stolen
All you did was save my life
Tried to run but I couldn't move
Well I paid for these concrete shoes
But like a singer that sings the blues
You saw hope in the hopeless
I'm not dying!
All you did was save my life
Pulled me out of that flat line
Put the heartbeat back inside
I'm not dying!
All you did was get me through
I owe every breath to you
Heart and soul unparalyzed
All you did was save my life
Save my life
I'm not for sale but I've been sold
The more I hear the less I know
The lies are swallowed whole
In their insignificance
The story's been told a million times
But it's different when it's your life
I won the lottery tonight
The lottery tonight
I'm not dying!
All you did was save my life
Pulled me out of that flat line
Put the heartbeat back inside
I'm not dying!
All you did was get me through
I owe every breath to you
Heart and soul unparalyzed
All you did was save my life
I started to come around
The dogs are backing down
I'm not afraid to see
The devil's gone underground
This tightrope's been cut down
And I can finally breathe
You looked at me as you walked in the room
Like the Red Sea you split me open
Somehow knew these wings were stolen
I'm not dying!
All you did was save my life
Pulled me out of that flat line
Put the heart beat back inside
I'm not dying!
All you did was get me through
I owe every breath to you
Heart and soul unparalyzed
All you did was save my life
All you did was save my life
(Put the heartbeat back inside)
All you did was save my life

Much love
Always going to try to spread more peace, more love, and more kindness into this world one day at a time, one comment at a time
The world needs more love, less hate, more unity over the suffering we survive and yet sometimes create, by our minds decline or simply by mistake, I wish the world a million of wishes of healing, we can help the world and each other by being a loving and more kind human being
I just wrote that on the spot right now

My favorite OLP song!
Jesus all you did was save my life!
You are awesome and lead the life your in I am moved by your opposition in following the goat instead follow the sheep and the lamb.
My mom just went vegan when this album came out and I joked that he was saying "on a diet" instead of "I'm not dying"
😂😂
I saved over a thousand lives.
Holly Brown.... I love you.... You saved my life
Didn't they put out a version where a bride was up on a rooftop? I seem to remember a different video to one of my favourite OLP songs.
daniordie That video was for the song "The End Is Where We Begin" on the same album.
Someone saved my life tonight.💜😇🙌🙏😢😢🇺🇸🇺🇸💋❤🌏⚓
what happened?
Rockin 2018
America is not built on God with the things I'm learning

They definitely saved my life! So I love it. They definitely trying something new and different.
This song is pretty good but Bob Rock ruined OLP pretty much.
I am very confused by the video
Who the hell would give this a thumbs down?
the kpop lovers.
For you...you know who you are.....
I love OLP so much but I've never watched the video until now... This is such an upbeat song, why does the video look like a werewolf trying to date rape a girl in the woods?
Guardian you made me spit out my coffee 😂
Answer? The canadian music industry. We don’t have much studios but we have a crap load of trees.
Not that many views though... I remember this song being a bigger hit
You're not wrong 👀

This song is about Jesus !!
It must’ve been rest or something. No way
Sounds like christian rock...like maybe pureflix used this in a movie
Would.not put it past pure flix to misinterpret a song and put it in their film
