#Naveed/Life #HD #Live2003
Lyrics:
Naveed
C’mon, c’mon Naveed (x6)
Are you there, and is it comfortable?
Did you want to escape, try to escape
the population?
Sure, it’s deceiving,
for you particularly
to let a young man die?
Ooh
Let him die if he wants to, die if her wants to
I can't live here anymore
but it's hard when you reach for that floor
something that tears me inside, so i can't go
brother, are you there?
Tell me is it wonderful
or were you hoping to find, hoping to find
something a little more?
Counting down the hours
I need to know now
hands of time only rule this chapter
I’ll have to try once again, oh
I’ll have to try
when I want to (x2)
I can't live here anymore
but it's hard when you reach for that floor
something that tears me inside
oh, I can’t live here anymore, anymore
there he's on his knees again
trying hard to understand
why Naveed would let a young man die
convinced that he might break
he reaches for that phone
and then another day has gone
oh another day is gone (x2)
is gone (x15)
I can't live here anymore
but it's hard when you reach for that floor
something that tears me inside
oh, I can’t live here anymore
I can't live here anymore (x5)
anymore
C’mon, c’mon Naveed (x10)
Life
How many times have you been pushed around?
Is anybody there?
Does anybody care?
How many time have your friends let you down?
Is anybody there?
Did anybody stare?
How many time have your friends let you down?
Just open up your heart
Just open up your mind
How many times has your faith slipped away?
Well, is anybody safe?
Does anybody pray?
Oh, life is waiting for you
It’s all messed up, but we're alive
Oh, life is waiting for you
It’s all messed up, but we'll survive
Doo, doo, doo …
How many days have you just slept away?
Is everybody high?
Is everyone afraid?
How many times have you wished you were strong?
Have they ever seen your heart?
Have they ever seen your pain?
Oh, life is waiting for you
It’s all messed up, but we're alive
Oh, life is waiting for you
It’s all messed up, but we'll survive
She gets high
She gets lost
She gets drowned by the cost
Twice a day, every week, and all her life
She gets high
She gets lost
She gets drowned by the cost
Twice a day, every week, and all her life
Life is waiting for you
It’s all messed up, but we're alive
Oh, life is waiting for you
It’s all messed up, but we're alive
Oh life is waiting for you
It’s all messed, but were alive
It’s all messed, but well survive
It’s all messed, but we’re alive
It’s all messed but we’ll, oh we’ll survive
All messed up, but we'll survive Видеоклипы
This is just brilliant, a *perfect* melding of the song that first put them on the map with arguably the best song they ever put out.
One of the most underrated bands ...truly a masterpiece of a song..
Agreed+
They are outstanding live too, one of the best concerts I’ve ever been to.
OLP + I Mother Earth + Tea Party. Truly a great time for Canadian Music.
just like the Wendel Clark / Doug Gilmour era. Classic for me.
Especially this live version. This entire two night stand in Calgary and Edmonton is their best live show...they were on point.
Came here with the hope of an extended intro. Was not disappointed!
That guitar intro is killer!!🤘
Truly the best live concert of OLP…the guitarist is in the zone.
I forgot how much I loved this bands music. Just remembered.
I was singing this song in the shower this morning. Now RUclips put this in my suggested. My phone knows too much
Jeremy Taggert (drums) truly does not get enough recognition as the musician he actually is, as a drummer myself, he is truly at least in the top 5 of best drummers ever, Thats my opinion anyway. even tho im not too much into OLP anymore this song is still a classic to me!!!
Definitely one of the greats and surely way underrated!
Sadly drummers who are rooted in jazz playing rock & roll (alternative or otherwise) music don't get their due unless they well above their peers.
Jeremy Taggert, Christian Tanna, and Jimmy Chamberlain, my favorite drummers from the 90s.
I'm a guitar player who's been gigging for 38 years, but as much as I love what everyone is doing in this concert DVD, it's Jeremy's drumming that really gets me going. I would LOVE to have had a drummer in my bands like him.
I'll never forget the way he started Naveed when I saw them in an outdoor festival in Montreal. He used a syncopated linear-ish cowbell pattern that I wish I could hear again.
He is truly underrated.
Just listen to him on One Man Army and his fills, genius.
He was certainly an inspiration to me as I learnt drums in the 90s.
Man, his voice was still good at this time. If you watch more recent performances, he won't get to the original octave of any song to preserve his voice. It saddens me a bit as I really love his voice and the band so much.
it was after Gravity that he lost it :( But everything after Spiritual Machines doesn't have his original whiny high pitched grit.
True, he barely hit the falsetto anymore
Bob Rock made him change the way he sang for Gravity (and was carried on for subsequent tours and albums).
OMG a classic :) Tumbs up everybody who listen this in 2021 .My tu8mbs up from Montréal Québec :)
No matter how may times I watch this I cannot believe it is live. The engineering and production team behind should be the only group of people ever allowed to record concerts. Just stunning in every respect. And with the boys all in the ZONE musically, as well, we have perfection.
Wish that intro went on forever!!
I uploaded the whole show 9 years ago. I just got an email from youtube that they took down this video on my channel, probably because you uploaded it. I'm glad you guys finally uploaded it with good quality. Long live OLP ❤️❤️❤️
I discovered Our Lady Peace music thanks to your videos :)
@@iovelfessha6278 ❤️❤️
Your videos introduced me to OLP, and added another band on my very short list of true artists that are extremely close to my heart. Along with 3DG (inspiration for vocals) and some others, they have made my musical journey genuinely richer.
I sincerely thank you for facilitating that. Keep uploading all that you can. Always look forward to it. Take good care. Would love to chat someday.
Cheers.
I only saw them because you uploaded this, Not gonna lie this past year was one of the roughest of my life and these live performances were an oasis, thank you for uploading them before ; like passing the baton
What a great performance! I just seen them again on Canada Day in 2022 at The Kee to Bala. So good to see them again! 🇨🇦
Back in the 90s, I tried to get my cover band to do this song; only me (bass) and the drummer were on board. Such a great song!
Not often a singers voice is better live than on the album. Wow.
I finally saw OLP lay year with Bush in NJ. N holy crap I was sooooo happy to finally be able to see them live!
Still one of my life goals. Too bad i am from the PH!
@Invert Your Cross yes OLP was a surprise- I was thrilled to finally get to see them. I’ve seen Bush 3 times n that is a show not to be missed. I’m talking incredible
@@redefinedliving5974 what is the PH?? Don’t think I’m dumb I just really don’t know. 🥺
@@ladystrange4769 Philippines! A country in Southeast Asia
@@redefinedliving5974 my only guess what the Philippines!!!! Yay n thank you for telling me :))
I always come back to this. So epic!
Yes I know what you mean….epic performance. The lead guitarist is ‘In the zone’ and the band is on point. The sound board engineer must be mentioned as well…what a masterful live mixing job.
Awesome
Best 2 minute opening for a song.
This song has become my prayer
me too
come come naveed

Love you guys long time, here in Toronto
A spiritual experience on the front row in Oklahoma at the zoo amphitheater! Love these wonderful talented men
Best band I've ever listened to out of Canada 🍁
Def a great band, but Rush is my favorite
@@chiefscheiderRush has been my favorite band since 1978. Triumph is right up there too. Canada has had some of the best rock bands. The Mystery is awesome as well. OLP definitely one of the best Canadian bands too.
LEGENDARY PERFORMANCE..
I have this live CD from way back, this is the first time seeing the video, I love it
That bass line tho ❤❤❤
Naveed was their best album easily
One of the most beautiful medleys I've ever heard!
The band I have literally the most in my life time......cant thank OLP enough
💋❤I love this band.
Please come back to Ontario Canada again for 2022 when all this BS is over ❤👍
Ya got your wish at expense of Jane's Addiction.
Stellar! sooooo under-rated! EPIC SHIT! 🤟
Saw them live at the Hard Rock in Vegas...what an awesome experience!!
I saw you at the Hollywood Athletic Theater I think it was called. Amazing. Still here with you.
Amo esta banda!
God i miss the 90s and 2003 was fkn awesome too....i hate today
oh man this is epic!💯🙌🏼
A track for the ages
#love it i was at canada day you sang starseed
Fuuuuudge! This is a masterpiece!!!
😍 What. A. Song.
From catching the band as a support act over here in the UK in December 1999, I’ve been a massive fan. Was almost impossible back in those days to get hold of the back catalogue (they were sort of promoting HINAFTYCC at the time) and with the internet not being as it was, it took a lot of searching and a lot of money for a 14/15 year old to get hold of everything.
From the moment I hear Naveed, this became THE song for me. Even now, hearing this version, the hairs on the back of my neck are standing.
I seriously hope one day the guys can come back over to the UK.
Also loving the fact the live dvd is being remaster in HD...hope this means a blu ray is coming...
Absolutely amazing!! Truly inspiring; I’m picking up my guitar and learning some of these licks right now
love it.
Saw it in Calgary :)
I was there 🎉❤😊
I bet they are amazing live
It’s so prophetic…
🎶 I can't live here anymore 🎶
why? Is the rent too expensive?
We'll survive!!!
Oh my! Steve just oozes sex appeal and confidence ❤ He's incredible 😍🤘
I Love it ! #Naveed 15:00
its cool
oh thiz song about my name hahahahha,,,,,naveed meaning is good news
Yep still not sleeping lol 🤘🤘🤘🤘🔥
that bass line
AAAHHHHHHHHHHH
What an intro. Incredible build up.
I saw this tour. This is THE Naveed intro that I will remember forever. SO fucking good.
@@smokeythebear99 Me too! Saw them in Ottawa with my sister. This was peak OLP and yeah that intro is fucking amazing.
Prob 10 of these 20k views are mine
Is there a dvd of this that I can buy? I want to see the whole thing, they're angelic
Yeah this is on their 2003 DVD Concert
@@MrBadApple999 2003? F me
@@KarlDag Yeeeah buddy
Well I want to survive to lol 😆 😅
The shortest 11 minutes of your life (no pun intended)
It's all fucked up but we'll survive.
Why did he point the mic at the crowd and not sing at the most awesome high point of the song? Felt like the sopranos series finale. 😅
Greg probably skips this version when he’s watching on RUclips
It sucks they were suppose to come to my city this year before all of this bs
Ok. It's 2003 but WHERE is this?
Jan 27 & 28, Calgary and Alberta. Both shows were filmed and edited into one concert video. I have the dvd but this is far better quality
@@chiefscheider Calgary and Edmonton, you mean. "Calgary and Alberta" lul
How to escape lol 😆
It's day time not night time lol
Whos is the guitarist here? Wicked.......
Steve Mazur. He replaced Mike Turner in 2002
Though Mike does appear in a few places on the "Gravity" album, Steve was a full band member by the time it came out
Fe fi fo
lol
Probably should have dropped the song down a half step or two... couldn't quite hit those high notes in the chorus. Still a magical show and one of the stand out bands of the late 90s.
Sorry, but it's just not OLP without Mike.
Terrible signer
Terrible spelling!
Who's signing?
I agree, #naveedkayanivlogs
Awesome
