Lyrics
Come come Naveed
Come come Naveed
Come come Naveed
Come come save
Come come Naveed
Come come Naveed
Come come Nav-
Are you there, and is it comfortable, no?
Did you want to escape, try to escape the population?
Sure is deceiving for you particularly
To let a young man die, oh no
Let him die if he wants to, and die if he wants to
And I can't live here anymore
But it's hard when you reach for that floor
There's something that tears me inside
So I can't go
I can't go, I go
Brother, are you there?
Tell me, is it wonderful?
Or were you hoping to find, hoping to find
Something a little more?
Counting down the hours
I need to know now
Do the hands of time only rule this chapter?
I'll have to try once again oh
I'll have to try when I want to
Oh I can't live here anymore
But it's hard when you reach for that floor
There's something that tears me inside
Oh I can't live here anymore
And there he's on his knees again
Trying hard to understand
Why Naveed would let a young man die
Convinced that he might break
He reaches for that phone
And another day but it's gone
Oh another day is gone
Yes another day
Has gone(x16)
And I can't live here anymore
But it's hard when you reach for that floor
There's something that tears me inside
I can't live here anymore
I can't live here anymore
And I can't live here anymore
I can't live here anymore
Oh I can't live here anymore
I was in Budapest, Hungary. I walked into to a tiny, tiny shop to buy tobacco and this was playing. I smiled. The guy behind the counter smiled. No words were spoken, but a connection was made.
The breakdown in the middle always gets me. And the end I thought the voices blended well and both had the emotional release of that outro chorus
Same here. Brought a tear to my eye, it did.
He still has such a good & powerful voice after all these years!
This. This is the voice and singing style that I grew up loving about OLP. There's been a few songs from each CD that I've loved, but Spiritual Machines was the last CD where I just loved the whole thing.
What do you think of Spiritual Machines II?
I thought Burn Burn was a solid effort. Gravity was obviously pretty strong. But they don’t compare to the first 4 albums.
@@TheGodYouWishYouKnew Gravity was pretty strong? Maybe 1-2 songs, at most. His only good albums were Naveed, Clumsy, Happiness and Spiritual Machines (at a real push).
@@graememorissey3276 OLP is a band, not a person. The first 4 albums are great. Gravity has many good songs. Burn Burn has a few. You’re obviously not that big of a fan, which is fine
@@TheGodYouWishYouKnew You're right, OLP is a band. But, you're wrong about Gravity. There is one good song on that album.
Beautiful. I love it as much as Naveed/Life in Live album.
Amazing! So good to hear GREAT music!
🙏🙏🙏
Still amazing
My thoughts exactly. Still sounds organic asf!
Awesome, Naveed!!!
🎶 I can't live here anymore🎶
Glad to see you guys are still kickin' ass, and representing the original days! Please keep it going! 🙌🏽
Don't plan on stopping!
I'm seeing you guys next year and I'm so freaking excited! This is my favourite song and I can't wait to hopefully hear it live
It’s a dream of mine too see this song live!!!!! Someday
WOW...Just Wow! I listened to a few of your songs in the mid 90's, mostly from #Naveed. It wasn't until now that I watched this video, and having never been able to see you live, I didn't realize how well you guys synergize with each other on stage. It reminds me of my favorite band, Guster. Anyone of my friends heard me say that would tell you that that is high praise, indeed!
Amazing version!!! So glad that this video's out there.
Life affirming. ✊👨🎤🎸
It's no secret that Raine's voice has changed a lot and he often can't sing a lot of the older stuff as easily as he used to, but he sounds great here.
The best as always, music as it should be. Happy memories of my first visit to Canada end of 98.. Keep going guys!
Makes me sad I have only been able to catch them live once in the very early 2000's and it was a festival so they only played a few but you're always awesome.
Where are you from? Always possible we come by for a show
@@OurLadyPeaceofficial It's not a matter of where (London, ON) but more a life thing with work and kids. My youngest has complicated needs so we usually can't go far without some good planning.
@@OurLadyPeaceofficial I saw the Winnipeg show back in the late 90's....
still one of my favorite concerts...this song rocked live
Come, come Naveed
Come, come Naveed
Come, come Naveed
Come, come save
Come, come Naveed
Come, come Naveed

I know the feeling , I’ve not been able to see #Naveed either😢 14:53 I can’t live here either
Love it! All for # 14:49
BRAVO!!!
Awesome!!
Have you ever played in Germany? I'd love to hear and see you live. One of my all time favorite bands.
Yes, Rock Im Park '97, look it up here on yt
Raine looks liked he enjoyed the break from singing
Not the same without Jeremy Taggart on drums man
🤘😎
Pretty epic when the girl started singing. After her first verse she shoulda switched to harmony though and they woulda blended sweet together
he plays drums for J-Roc now
Lol I thought she was related to Jeremey the old drummer or something but his last name is just Taggart. What an odd coincidence.
thought it was '..feat Jeremy Taggart'
👌👌👌
i was thinking that too :) maybe Danielle was supposed to be drumming
Now that's funny even the devil has to turn into a light lol I'm not a monster 😅
I, m just going to take a wild guess that from the lyrics this song is about an indian am i right great song though i saw this band back in 1995
...remember the party after? i dont
Nope I can't live here anymore and I can't leave kids here on thier own and I want to make a life but I'm stuck with no help from old friends or family and I have it all away for God but I want God and a life and I have no one who cares.
Mike leaving was such a downer. His replacement isnt too bad... but Jeremys sound is so noticably missing, its like a different band.
🤣🤣🤣
He stole Bono's idea (U2) of using a megaphone
Dude, many musicians have used megaphones in part of their songs. I highly doubt that Bono was the first to begin with.
I called the music police and they say Bono (of U2? What other Bono is there?) stole the idea from Rudy Valee who first used one in.... 1929. Read 'em and weep. You have no case here.
Bono -was- late to the megaphone party but his was the coolest. Stars n stripes.
Are we forgetting Weiland from STP using a megaphone on "Dead and Bloated" really? So soon? Ugh....
Spot on man! I was just saying that very thing. So Bono, using a Megaphone
