Mike. In the old days, we used to say how people came into our livingrooms every week via TV. Still the same but just a different medium. Great personal touch this video about Cory. That is what makes a channel special and gets us invested as E friends. I have 77 GTB close in serial no to Rob's. Have some nice Benzina products myself which I believe is his wife's venture! They are all involved! See ya Thursday!
That’s a sad/great story about your friend. In a weird way, the connection with and loss of friends finds its way into the fabric of the things we do. That love and friendship surely has made its way into your build.
I wanted to reach out and offer my condolences for the loss of your friend, it truly says a lot about your character that you are willing to share his story. I have suffered a lot of loss in my family over the last 2 years and I can say I know how much it hurts, however I also know how much being around friends and family can help to ease the pain. Focused on all the time you shared together and the memories that will get you through the hard times. I must say I'm fighting back tears as I wright this because I lost the 2 most influential women in my life. I personally would love to hear your stories and experience the love you had for your friend. I am new to the channel and have been enjoying your format and the Ferrari build, reminds me of the posters on my wall. Keep up the good work and thanks for sharing.
Nah that upside down sticker isn’t for hanging the EMS upside down but because they are a Australian company so that sticker is for their local customer’s!
I have to admit that I rarely remember to leave likes, but today Mike's attitude reminded me. Well done Sir, you are a pleasure to watch and the car is a work of art.
Been watching the channel for a few weeks now and am blown away by what you have accomplished. That said, I'm sorry to hear about your loss. I can't imagine how difficult it was to lose your friend and then come back to record a new video. Your content is inspirational, not just due to the extreme amount of work involved in this project, but also because you show us those "human" moments of mess ups, frustrations, and now loss. Please know that you inspire the rest of us to power through life and keep sight of the important things. Thanks for sharing, and can't wait to see how things turn out
Benzina really hit the spot with the shirt Mike... May as well keep the name, came out awesome! Ask them to make some more shirts for us ;-) That's a nice merch there my friend.
Sorry for your loss. Don't apologize to us for loving your friend, he obviously meant a lot to you. That shirt and bandana are awesome, but anyone who saves Dinos has great taste. Keep up the great work, this is my favorite project build. The scale and depth of this build is pretty incredible.
Cory was a great guy and I had the privilege of working with him for a while. Cory’s love of E30’s rubbed off on me and it was he that got me in to the rabbit hole that E30’s are. He will be missed and I thank you for taking the time to talk about him.
Great setup! Glad to see you getting support from great brands. I’m sorry for your loss, hopefully the passion you put into the build can pay homage to your friend
Love to hear about him! When you're ready to tell the story I'll for sure listen! Also, I'm a Tennessee man as well. Lived in Chattanooga all my life. Great to see a fellow Volunteer out in California cause my son is stationed in Monterey at the Presidio. Keep up the awesome work brother!
Mike this is such an awesome series dude. it's super interesting because I'm like half learning how to do some stuff I want to do. I don't have automotive fabrication skills or anything but your videos are sort of a tutorial on each thing. Also - so sorry to hear about your friend Cory man. What I have learned , and probably you as well, is that loss is sort of like weight lifting. It starts out heavy, but after a while of working at it, it gets easier to lift. The weight is the same but you are stronger. Take care brother
I am running a Haltech platinum pro in my sons k20 swapped '87 Pontiac Fiero. Haltech has been one of the best, if not the best, aftermarket companies. Their tech support is 2nd to none. The software interface is written with tons of additional information and hints. You can tell their products are made by genuine car people. I found learning the Haltech tuning software was way more intuitive than Hondata kprov4 being used in my k24a2 swapped '88 Fiero. I love the nexus r5! Color me jealous!
Not sure if you'll read this, but through lockdown here in Aus its been really good to have something to look forward to. Even got my dad onto your channel and we catch up on the phone to talk about the updates you power through. Keep killing it man! Youre inspiring reaches far past what you know 🙌
Simply one of the best content out there. I always learn something every week. So sorry for the loss of your friend. No need to apologize for not doing the piping. That will always be there. Good friends and memories are priceless.
Sorry about your loss, mate. Sounds like Cory was a top bloke and a bit of a character so I can't wait to hear his story. Love the build and as a proud Aussie I am glad to see you using the Haltech Nexus it's an awesome product. I'm kind of jealous actually would love to strip all the electrics out of my Corolla FX with 4agze and use one but it may be a little overkill haha!
Hi Mike, glad to hear that you were able to celebrate your friend's life properly. I can't wait to see the technical details of the ECU installation and the explanation of how each functionality will be tuned and used in your application. I missed Glovehand and his big brother Furrhand in this episode.
Dude, the support from your subscribers is insane! Also, Benzina is a legend, so cool the work he has done with his brother and father but also super cool he supports your work too. A true enthusiast, not an elitist.
Sorry about your friend. Such a shame! I know how it feels. When I lost my mother, it was painful. Even more when I lost both of my sweet dogs in the same year after 16 years. Death is really painful. Yes, keep them close to your heart with positive memories. Talking about their memories keep them alive in your heart. Glad to see your dog has a bedding to sit on & supervise your work. :-)
I have been watching this series from the beginning and I am always just happy to see what you have. The wrenching vids are good but so is the other content. What I appreciate is the quality of the work being done. My condolences on the loss of your friend and I am looking forward to learning about how to wire a car using an aftermarket ecu.
Sorry to here about your friend, and yes you have a lot of support from a lot of us. Great information on the electrical system see you in the next video ✌🏽
Thanks Mike. I love this series. Nice intro for Haltech too, I'll consider buying one for my project car now I know it can run the engine and act as a PDM.
As has been said... take your time, do what you need to do, you'll find us all here when you're ready to get back into the build. In the meantime, these videos are still interesting and engaging, loving the content as always.

Mike, kudos for continuing to get great content out in the midst of everything that happened with your friend, I think we all would have understood if you wanted to take some more time for yourself (even if the RUclips algorithm doesn't). Sorry for your loss.
So sorry to hear about your friend man. This year has been crap. I have lost a few people this year as well. That car is going to be sooooooooo sick !!
Watching this was a great way to start the day. “Now I know none of y’all ain’t gonna try to tell me that none of these cars made those marks in the road.” Lol.
Loosing friends is hard. Especially when they are young and would typically have so much ahead of them. Sorry for your lose. It's great that you'll spend part of episode telling us about him. I'm looking forward to the episode.
Oh my goodness, well done brother. That haltech is at the pinnacle of the tech. I think this is one the most expensive build. Very sad and we pray for those who lost thier lives for a new life after life and wishing him a great journey. Peace ✌️
Those Nexus R5's look the biz Mike. Those Skid Factory blokes down in Oz just fitted one into a mega horsepower Barra powered Bedford van (!) - looks like an incredibly versatile piece of kit. Traction control in an aftermarket ECU?... awesome. Sorry again to hear about your mate and looking forward to hearing his story sometime ;-)
I'm sorry for the loss of your friend Cory. I know my words can't really bring any comfort or fill the void that a friend like him would leave in your life. But I will tell you that your build is inspiring me to reconsider the direction I was going to go with my Lotus Esprit. Before I saw your build, I was pretty much sold on going with an LS swap. Now that I see what you're doing - I'm thinking this might be a better way to go.
@@foamdataservices I just looked at the weight of the motor I was going to put in my car (LT5) and it looks like that's about 575 pounds vs the 300ish pounds for this build. I'm going to be curious to see what the total drivetrain weight ends up being on this build. Also want to see how the car sounds!
Sorry for your loss Mike. Sounds like great guy. Regarding the build, please convince convince your guy to go with the ECU with full wiring harness. I’d love to see that install and later see the full functionality. Not sure if some of that would be lost by going with the custom harness.
I hope, this build gets the recognition that it deserves 🙏🏼 I wish Jay Leno would invite him I hope larry chen does a build bio and Hoonigan invites hime to shred the yard

I'll be interested to see how the PDM shakes out for controlling the complete engine & chassis. Four 25A circuits might be a little limiting.. 2 big fans, lift pump, and a pressure pump and you're out.. I found to make 16 channels work for chassis & engine I needed to stack on a handful of engine control power that ideally would be on their own circuits. Hoping you and Ryan are able to geek out on video a bit and show us some magic there. I'm sorry about your loss Mike, looking forward to hearing his story.
