Roofr will get you accurate measurements. They don't need to be 5mm accurate. I have been doing drone roof inspections since 2012. Roof measurements since 2017. Eagleview is now using skydio drones for the measurements and inspection for damage. I use a company with AI software to mark roof anomalies (damage) also captures roof dimensions. Depending on the client, insurance Co., public adjuster, attorney, contractor.

Another consideration might be that the stitching of images that have roofs in them often messes the roof up. It can look like it's a little melted, straight lines can be jagged or misaligned and things like that. I'm not an expert but it seems that the solution is to fix that with manual tie points. This is something that you can't do on cloud based software, as far as I know. Structures that have more complicated roofs like HVAC equipment, solar panels and other things are an even bigger problem.
It would be great if somebody with personal experience doing this would comment and say if I'm on the right track or not.

i could only think the question was from a roofer or solar installer.
