I used a MacBook Pro with boot camp for a couple years when I first started. As far as the GCP’s, it depends on where you are. Some places network corrections for gps are free, so you could buy an older gps off eBay. You don’t need the best gps since targets will always be wide open. Another idea is to partner with a surveyor, that way you have a license to do more. Good luck

FYI...These guys never answer questions in the comment section. It's apparently 'too much' for them.
They don't answer questions in the studio as well. They make it too complicated, and you get it lost.
