When I heard Josh was getting face surgery I figured he'd finally be getting eyebrows installed. Maybe next time. Feel better Josh.
I though he has getting cosmetic work to look more like a Fuzz Face! Lol. Prayers for you, that th doctors got all the cancer out and a speedy and complete recovery!!

Lol, so the guitar is made by ESP in Japan, the neck pickup is a battery powered speaker that you engage by pulling out the tone pot. I like keeping it tuned to G standard.
Have a black Synsonic..Korea. Single bridge pickup...had the twin pkup. I got skinned.
When I got the single thought it had built in fuzz... Low batt. Customed a wallwart end to wed to 9v plug from guitar. Hot knived batt. door so connector will be out. 7.5v wallwart -low battery effect.

I had this same surgery almost, except mine was under my other eye and closer to my nose. Don't mess with the weird moles. If you see something that isn't right, like a spot that doesn't heal completely, go to the doctor!

Been working through some older episodes. This one is the best. I really enjoyed the interesting discussions around the nature of original ideas in creativity.
I had the same surgery in 2001... getting the 'other side' done this year. Big fun!

I honestly really enjoy these raw live sessions! Very open and I forget who said it but it definitely is like we are all just chilling in a living room, enjoying pedals and each other's company! I definitely get pretty stoked when I see there is another live episode up 🤘

Happy Belated Birthday Josh!! Glad they got rid of that thing on your face, they are never good. On a side note, any chance you guys would ever cover the Keeley Dark Side pedal, i have been VERY VERY curious to see your take on this thing. I guess you'd have to go through some Gilmour history to get those tones in your head. If you havent, go watch the Delicate Sound of Thunder concert from the 80's its to me the best representation of his sound/tone. Thanks for all the fantastic content and info guys!! Keep it coming!!

Josh, I had one of those too, right under my eye. The dr. was worried that my eye might not close all the way after that. Kind of scary, but all good! That was 10 years ago and nothing since. Good luck!

I had surgery last year. Crazy traumatic event during the pandemic. I am super glad you are ok. :)
I wish you well, Josh! Hope you got rid of that cancer once and for all. I've had the same stuff happening to me (right hand side in my case) and for me it's been working out for almost 15 years now. No nothing ever happened again, I get it checked every 6 months.
I looked better than you after the operation though, but that has nothing to do with the surgery, I am sure ;)

I recently purchased both Quilter Superblocks. I am beyond amazed. I recently tried a different amp pedal solution (I won't say which one) but it was similar in price and it fails hard in comparison and it wasn't even an amp, just a DI really. Crazy how good these quilters are.

Holy crap, you should check out the giant scar i have going from one ear, over the top of my head, to the other ear. 79 staples. They had peel my face down to install a titanium plate over top of a golf ball sized hole in my skull right on my hair line over my right eye. I ride skateboards on really big concrete bowls and i collided heads with noob who shouldn't have been at this skatepark due to their inability to even really ride the thing if they were on flat ground. So tip to all the parents who take their beginner kids to expert level skateparks, don't. They are for expert skateboards many of whom are grown adults with children of their own that they need to take care of and being out of work for six months really hurts. Hope your face feels better, it's killing me.

Sorry to hear about the skin cancer, but glad its getting sorted. I've only recently finished having chemo myself. Great to see that its not getting you down. I'd love to collaborate on a crazy fuzz one-off to raise money for the big-bad-C.

I have had A basal cell sarcoma removed from my face. It’s a bit scary. I wish Josh a speedy recovery
I just went thru the knife last month, carpal tunnel release surgery on both hands, stitches sux! But I can actually play guitar now!
I've had to have a ganglion cut out a couple of times because it was limiting my ability to play and that is pretty awful, so I can't imagine what bilateral carpal tunnel must be like. I hope the surgery works out for you well.
@@pabcrane It did, recovery is relatively fast since is an endoscopic procedure, they do a small cut (maybe 1") in the palm of the hand and close it with 2 stitches. now I got 5 years of guitar playing to catch up with! Hope that ganglion does not come back for you!

Happy your back and well. The pedals aren't coming through as good as normal (like the Mic on the amp is 10 feet from it). Very low and tinny. Plus the static on the Mics on occasion (which you know already). Just an observation not a troll move. Tying to be helpful. Keep up the great work!
Yes, someone has to document the history of pedals and pedal companies because eventually all pedals will be in your Amp. And latter on, the Sim will replace the Amp. But that's what history is about, progress. Sometimes progress runs you over and things you love, are left behind.

51:45 as a nonnative English speaker - I've been thinking about this the same way - I couldn't agree more. I certainly don't speak English like parents. I haven't learned the language from them. And why do I talk like I come from somehere in England? It's all building blocks combining to something and there's nothing original to it. Everyone who speaks a language, especially another language, learned later in life (although I've always heard English on the radio: singing), goes through such a progress.
