Paul is one of a few that still has it! His vocals are great and at his age, amazing!
Todd wrote what may be two of the most timeless songs ever, for me it doesn't matter when I hear either one but when I do it's like hearing them for the first time.. Hello, and the Light ..
Can we still be friends
That's skimming the surface you gotta hear a wizard a true star
His vocals on love is the answer are awesome too.
Hello is a beautiful song
Caught Todd in 74, first part he did the pop stuff, second part came out roaring, black Mariah, etc, fantastic show at Delta State, Cleveland MS
He opened with that song quite often.
I’ll tell ya, Todd Rundgren is a musical genius.
I was 15 yrs old in 1975 and saw Bad Company in Mobile Alabama. It was my first concert and I still reminise about how great it was. I miss The good ole days. Also saw Todd Rundgren in the mid 80's as well. Both Rodgers and Rundgren have always been my two favorite vocalists of all time.
I will go to see Todd every time I can. The love between Todd and his faithful audience is so thick you could cut it with a chainsaw, and it's wonderful.
100% agree with Todd on Jeff Beck. No disrespect to Jimi, Eddie and other guitar greats, Jeff is so incredible and not of our earth.
Only 4 minutes with Rundgren??? Half of it was Sammy yapping??? That sucked.
I'm going to go out on a limb. Greatest singer in the history of rock and roll. Paul Rodgers
He was a better singer in Queen than Freddie.
@@steveludwig4200 now that's a bold statement. We'll see if you get any reaction to that.
@@steveludwig4200 somewhat of a moot point, but would Freddie’s voice have held up like Paul’s had he lived as long. I sorta doubt it given the high range he sang.
Brian Johnson has such a wonderful voice..gets better with age!! 😀
Yep... Love Robin Zander too
Sammy is the king of not listening and talking over people
Howard Stern just interrupted you before you hit the word "not."

FACTS
He's so annoying
I can't say enough about Todd Rundgren he's the best musician and songwriter I've heard.....
Love Todd Rundgren! After Jeff Beck passed, TR said publicly, “The world’s lost the greatest musical genius and finest guitarist on the planet…”Coming from such a notorious guitar perfectionist like Todd, that compliment definitely stands up well.
👍
Why doesn't AXS put a date on this video? Because they want viewers... it was done in 2018!
Paul is easily one of rock's BEST vocalists just effortless and natural.
Does Hagar even know who he's interviewing? It's almost like he's trying to feel his way through the interview and can't remember anything about Todd Rundgren.
Yep this is what happens when an idiot "interviews" a musical Genius The look on that shitkickers face when Todd Said the word "Ravel " was worth it though .
Todd is the Man!….Paul and Bad Company should be in that joke of a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.. Thanks Sam!
Wish these interviews were much longer and you sing several songs with your guests. It must be a dream come true to hang with your heroes, your musician friends and so on, and be able to create a legacy in a catalog of these videos for all of us who love you and music. Thanks Sammy - You are the Red Rocker forEVER!!
Todd looks like Fred Gwynne from The Munsters.
both these guys are about 75 years young!!! wow
How is that possible? His voice, Oh lord!!!!!!! ROCK N ROLL.
Todd is my #1 musical hero
Paul is THE VOICE !
If somone asked me who woulod I like to sing, like it would be Paul Rodgers. The best rock voice ever .
Sammy

i met paul rodgers ....the nicest person you could ever meet!
Paul Rodgers , Sammy Hagar, all favorite musicians of mine
Sammy Paul is like one of my favorite artist like you. You're one awesome rock and roller. God bless you both, two Kings.
"Get there early, do a good show, get the money, and get home safe." We learned that early from our teen band 'Thee Esquires" manager John Fuchs. We learned to record, good solid techniques and on the road rules. We had great success by the time we were 17. Paul Rodgers is right, lessons from the greats right there, boys and girls.
...Two Legends under one roof!
C.A.👍
Todd......Are U EVER going to sing "A Dream Goes On Forever" EVER in person again......If Not please let me know...Thank U!
Paul rodgers is the man

Todd Rundgren is so right about Jeff Beck!

Jeff Beck, indeed. Well done, Todd.
this is old
Like 5 years old.
Hello its Me!! The best!
My favorite Bad Company song
Rock N Roll fantasy 😊😎
Saw them in concert and that is maybe their strongest live song too - the audience goes nuts on that one!
These guys look Awesome !!!
This was epic! 🤘🏻
Love It! ❤️
Love Jeff, Beck, but Eric Clapton is my favorite
Amazing stuff!!!
I still have my Utopia songs i taped off the radio 300 years ago.
Kicking Todd to the curb 😂
I saw the Red Rocker play in the Texas Jam's concert back in the late '70's early '80's when he told the audience when he was younger going to see Janis Joplin in concert he got in front because she didn't wear undies while performing. Sammy also said Louis Messina couldn't put on a Texas Jam without him ever.
When people ask "Jeff Beck or Jimi Hendrix" I reply Ritchie Blackmore
"Want Of A Nail" Todd / "Can't Get Enough" Bad Company / "I'll Fall In Love Again" Sammy.
For me
1. Real Man
2. Good Loving Gone Bad / Get Where I Belong
3. Connection
@@slychainey3279 I love real man
👌😎
Had me at Jimmy Page!
King Edward was the best goofballs!
Good one three of my influences
SAMMY HIT THE GYM ASAP
Produced first albums of Sparks
great show, sammy. really inspiring.
Sammy shouldn't be allowed to interview geniuses.
Nobody ever mentioned Jeff Beck till after he died.
9:13 David Lee Roth reference
Sammy is an absolute “LEDGE” 😅and Todd rocks too …..Caravan ✌️🤘🤙
0ooo0ooo.. amature interview clip.. Ouch~
LET TODD TALK SAMMY !!! DAMMIT. THIS INTERVIEW IS ABOUT TODD NOT YOU.
Too short

Paul makes Sammy look like a little leaguer......
Hello it's Me! If this is Me, then that must be You! 👈 😆
Weak 😅kicked 😅
Who's Todd Rungrin?
Dude Sir, please tell me that was sarcasm?
Do yourself a favor and do some reading.
He bangs on the drum all day
@@quadradomus never enjoyed his music
Utopia ….CaravVannnnn
Todd Rundgren - geez read his resume on Wikipedia he's a genius - a hugely eclectic catalog
Cmt bull
Paul has had some of the worst wigs in Rock History.
seriously ? you guys think you look so cool with dyed hair ?
No, the greatest guitar player of all time is the guy that plays classical pieces that can play Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata, 3rd Movement and Mozart, and all kinds of other stuff. He looks like James Franco. You can search him on here just type in classical guitar Beethoven’s third movement that’s the best guitar player on RUclips and I’ve ever seen in my life not Jeff Beck
Meatloaf ..garbage..sorry, Todd
Only one of the biggest selling albums ever
Wow so edgy-- btw he's produced a wide variety of albums
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has NEVER nominated Bad Company or Free for induction into the Hall.
That is absolutely BS...
Joe satriani would say allan Holdsworth is the best, so would the late Eddie Van halen, Carlos Santana, Steve Vai, George Benson, Alex Lifeson, Guthrie Govan, John Scofield, John McLaughlin , Ygmie Malmsteen , Greg Howe etc etc etc
Jeff Beck!!!!!!!!!!!!! .....hands down
@@FOXLIESLMAO, Jeff's Hero was John McLaughlin and literally bows down to him. Want the link? McLaughlin bows down to Holdsworth .
@@swiftusmaximus5651 wow ya whatever......their not splitting the atom
@@FOXLIES “Holdsworth wasnt content with redefining what was technically possible on the guitar, he also managed to rewrite pretty much the whole of music theory, coming up with all manner of chord voicings which had never been heard before and then concocting brand-new scales to complement them'' Allan, the most logical explanation for what you’re hearing is that the this guy must have arrived very abruptly and unexpectedly - if not from another planet then, at the very least, from the future!” G Govan
