Such a great band. You always hear great things about Nuno, which is well deserved, but not much about the band. I think they are extremely underrated for their body of work. I hope more people can watch this and discover how great they really are. Sammy is nailing this series with all these great acts.

I went to see Extreme last night at Hampton Beach. Almost 40 years later and they’re still kicking ass! Their skill and energy level is absolutely amazing. 🤙🏼
I am from Ashland Massachusetts and have always been a huge fan of Extreme. The first time I watched Extreme perform was in the 80's at THE CHANNEL in Boston Ma. They were EXTREMELY awesome live! Pun intended. I am eagerly awaiting the release of the new album. Thank you for the interview video, and jam Sammy. Also thank God for RUclips. As a kid in the 70's and 80's, one never really had the opportunity to get quality interviews and insights of our favorite bands. Love it!
Nuno Bettencourt may possibly be the most talented guitarist of that generation. His complexity in extremes songs are pretty unprecedented. Brian May said that he could never play the guitar solo for get the funk out. Awesome interview.

This video is brilliant, I started off this morning watching Justin Hawkins doing a video about Extreme’s new song “Rise” which is awesome, then by chance I ended up here, it has made my day. The acoustic rendition of Won’t Get Fooled Again in this video is the best I have ever heard, thank you so much guys.
That performance had me smiling the whole time! I grew up on all 3 of these guys and Sammy is such a "uniter". He brings so many people together. And that's what music is all about. Universal united happyness.

I met Nuno and Gary in 1990 when they were performing in Joplin, MO during the Pornograffiti tour. Such humble and gracious guys. We spent a good 20 minutes just talking about music and bands we grew up with. Brought my Circus magazine that had the tablature for Mutha. Nuno read through it and said it was pretty accurate. Then both he and Gary signed it. That article and a pic of the three of us hangs in my home office to this very day. Can’t wait for the new album to drop!

I had all the KISS special editions. But outgrew that part. Now I would love to flip through all of the old ones. Even the teen ones. U can find some articles or pics online, but it's not that same.

Not only these people are extremely talented but there’s true humility. And their albums (starting from the 2d one) are masterpieces that will get all the deserved recognition in time.

Absolutely the best, best, very best episode of the series. I’m sure off camera, they warmed their chops up, but that does not guarantee by any means that it goes smoothly. I expected Nuno to be top notch, but vocals are tricky. I’ve heard many famous singers sound horrible when put on the spot, so give those dudes their credit. They were having a blast doing what they love doing, and they sounded great. Hey Sammy, what makes you happy? He answered his own question.
This was great! I have always been a big fan of Extreme and my late Mothers favorite tune from them was More Than Words. Thanks for this one Sammy! Love these dudes and boy did Nuno get spicy on that guitar! ❤️✌🏽
Extreme was one of my favorite bands way back when and Whole Hearted was a huge inspiration for me learning guitar. Honestly it's one of the two songs that convinced me to buy my 12 string acoustic. I figured if I could even come half way close to learning it I could prob play most anything. I'm very happy to hear they are recording together again.

Practicing difficult techniques on guitar would definitely warm up my entire body and I don't think that was due to physical exertion. So yeah, brains burn calories. I would imagine that exceptional brains doing intense work burn even more calories.

Ask people about Vito, pretty sure most people just don’t know. Unless you play guitar, or a white lion fan, chances are you never heard of him. Anyways, great musician, and totally underrated.
I've been an Extreme fan since their first record. Great to see them back at it. Gary is often unfairly maligned but he's a fantastic front man. Nuno has that Boston sarcasm thing down pat. Good stuff.

SAw the name Vito Brattain….man, talk about under rated guitarists. Everybody Saying Nuno is underrated, true, but really? I mean, everybody knows Nuno. Hes a legend and still going. Ask people about Vito, pretty sure most people just don’t know. Unless you play guitar, or a white lion fan, chances are you never heard of him. Anyways, great musician, and totally underrated.

I've been an Extreme fan since their first record. Great to see them back at it. Gary is often unfairly maligned but he's a fantastic front man. Nuno has that Boston sarcasm thing down pat. Good stuff.
