All of Rock n Roll.... The best n' the worst together, compile a puzzle that represented, in the beginning, a mystery that drew billions into it's universe with an attraction that was for too much for some to survive and for others that rode it's energy like surfers on a wave with the genres' ability, in music, to morph, shape shift, copy, assimilate and improvise all the God Blessed Way down to Twist n' Shout.
It was amazing to hear Steve's history and his contributions and I hold unending respect for Sammy too. Crossroads, here, has never been done finer.

Steve is an amazing guitar player and obviously has been since very early on. I can remember playing “Hold the Line” when I first was learning electric guitar. I played that rhythm guitar hundreds of times and thought I had it down and I was about 16 years old. The lead though, well let’s just say I improvised! 😂
He seems like a very nice guy and definitely underrated. Good interview and probably one of the best versions of Crossroads I’ve heard. Everyone was really into it. That made the difference. Sammy’s voice was hitting those high notes effortlessly and Kenny, well that drummer is just so damn versatile it’s insane. Thanks for the video and wish them all great health and many years of making the best music that inspires and allows us to temporarily escape this crazy world!

There are no limits on how much love and respect I feel for this guy, apart from being a fantastic musician and guitarist, he is humble and genuinely interested. I happened to bump into him at a restaurant in Sweden about 20 years ago. My friends and I were leaving the place when Steve and someone else in the band (possibly Simon Phillips) plus a few others in his company were walking in. I was very surprised But at least I got a hello out of me, and said that I just wanted to say I admire you and you're my favorite guitar player. There is probably thousands of others that have told him that before me but he stopped, thanked and asked if this restaurant was any good and what we had eaten, if I lived in town and if I could recommend some place else in case his friends didn't like the place,
I was completely speechless but I said I was satisfied with the food and service and said there was another place a few blocks away that I knew was good.
Seen Toto twice, In Stockholm in the late nineties and last month in Gothenburg, they were great.
I would like to see Steve do a solo tour but that tour would not reach Sweden I guess...Cheers!

Luke is THE MAN! I love when I hear interviews with him and they’re picking his brain about his career. The stories this dude has. The people he’s jammed with. The people he’s recorded with. The songs. My God! The songs he has written and co-written. The funny stories. His stories and the love he had for his brother from another mother, Edward Van Halen. Luke is one of those guys you want to be around and be friends with. The fact that he has survived what has taken so many great musicians down is incredible. Yeah….to be able to hang with Steve Lukather for a day is on my bucket list. And at my age and what life is handing me, the time to empty my bucket is getting shorter and shorter.
