I know this is years later, but I know what you're saying about this soap leaving a white layer; it really shows up on my brown skin, whereas it is probably unnoticeable on fair skin. I think it might be the titanium dioxide in the ingredients; any soap that I've used with that ingredient always leaves an unflattering whitish cast on my skin.
I've never had any residue after using this soap. In fact, it rinses off very clean, in my experience. Great lather and scent, too. Might have something to do with your tap water, or maybe you got an old bar?
I use it for my face and behind the ears after using the duke cannon shower gel. Also havent noticed the residue, but i do rinse thoroughly. I really like the lather.
I haven’t had that problem. I prefer the body wash and I think it runs a close race with old spice but Harry’s makes me feel just a little cleaner. I love this product I would highly recommend it.
I know Harrys offers body wash in the same scents if thats your thing, I think it runs a little bit more expensive per use than the bar soap, but it maybe worth a shot

This is good soap. I have a lady friend that has a shit ton of random soaps. I’ve showered with Harry’s at her place plenty of times. Dr. Bronners too. Very good
Yeah so I decided to pick up the “Redwood” scented soap bar. Didn’t have issues with powder or anything, but it made my nipples burn like they were on fire. I do have relatively sensitive skin, but I have never had a soap do that. I really don’t recommend this soap to anybody lol
This was my least favorite bar of the three bars from Harry’s. Zest, has also released a new line of bar soap and body wash. Gave them a whiff in the store. They smell good.
Walking out of your house feeling like you’re wearing a sack of King Arthur bread flour all over your body is a definite drawback, I’d have to agree. 😂
I've used this soap for a few months now and I've never had any residual powder problems. It's my favorite soap.
I haven't had a problem with the "powder" effect, it cleans very well and the lather is outstanding, rinses off very easily. I like it so far.
The amount of lather really is crazy. Never had a bar that lathers as easy as Harry’s. I like the soap.

Besides the outstanding quality and scent on all of Harry’s products, the best part is they don’t test on animals.
Harry's body washes are much better. The scent is stronger and lasts a while. I am a dove man though.
