You could use a magic circle, if that's easier for you. It will work just fine.

How could I make these even bigger? They'd be awesome gifts for my agility friends with big dogs! :)
You just need to add more rows before decreasing.
PS: I noticed you had each ball in separated, is there a reason for that?
No reason, I just have a bunch of left overs rolled into balls.
