Many thanks to you.. This is exactly my car and I'm facing exactly this terrible vibration.. my mechanic told me my engine mount is perfect that he'll have to look at the gear mount.
@tun6006. This is not the easiest one to install. The transmission mount is the easiest. Did it in less than five minutes once I had the car jacked up. Then the drivers side mount is next. The passenger side is by far the hardest simply because of all the hardware blocking the two base screws. If you're any kind of normal guy, your hands will be way too big to fit down there and I guarantee you, once you unscrew them and take them out then try to reinstall them, you will not be able to screw it in with just two fingers. You'll need a thumb and your thumb won't fit because of all the piping lines near it. Good luck
Why was the gap closer to the metal after you installed the new one ? When you took the new one out from the package you could almost stick your whole finger in the gap ?
With no weight on the new mount it will have a wider gap...if the motor mount in this video is totally down on the base it can also be caused by the transmission mount on the drivers side being bad...I would suggest changing all the mounts and the torque arm on the bottom of the motor
Hello! My name is Miguel. I like your videos so much and learning a lot. About this video though, I’m trying to buy the motor mounts parts but I don’t know how many are for my Honda civic 2011. Could you help me out and tell me how many a have to buy? Thank you!
bought a non oem mount and the gap was increased by only 2 - 3 mm. Still not enough, the vibration didn't disappeared unfortunately. When did you lowered the engine ? After installing the second mount ?
PLEASE HELP!! My motor mount is broken, I get vibration and a grinding noise. I thought the motor mount was the top rubber part you removed, mine is cracked but not sure if I have to replace the whole bottom hydraulic piece or just the broken rubber mount thing.
Question for everyone.......do you snug the bolts and then torque once you remove the jack? Or can you still torque it when the engine is being supported? Or does it not matter?
Hello, i need to know something I have the same car but for my mount i do not have the dog bone part (upper mount) is it an issue. cuz I had my mount broken twice and i would like to know if this is why am having this problem. kindly advice anyone.
@@DIYCarModz Thank you for prompt reply. noted, but do you know if there is a way for me to attached that part to the chassis because on mine i do not have the part where it is suppose to be attached

Thank you, more detailed than other tutorials. Great camera work. Again great tutorial video. Thank you.
I have the same car. I must say that civic is in extremely good condition. Good informative video!
The civic is far from good condition but it still runs. Great gas saver!
Excellent tutorial bro made it look easy as 123
Really appreciate the tutorial and the torque specs were also a huge plus. Keep up the great content 👍🏼.
Outstanding video, camera visuals as well as explanations!
working in the rain! Props. Great video as well.
I appreciate this video. You have three parts listed in the description that you use but I only see two parts that you used.
1 is for the sedan . 1 is for the coupe
Wish there's a video of the other motor mounts being replaced. This is the easiest one to replace. No one has of of the others.
@jack of all - has an excellent video of a lower engine mount replacement on an 8th gen civic

Got the same job to do today -- exact same weather too
Thanks a lot, thats a real useful video 👍
Great tutorial, thank you! 🤛
Saving this video man. Great job. What torque wrench do you have? I need one but don’t want to break the bank. Thanks.
Great job.
Why didn’t u test to see if the engine still shake after replacing the motor mount?

Hows the motor mount holding up ?
Will a bad engine mount only make noise sometimes or at all times ?

Seems like everybody who buys aftermarket mounts has them fail or not dampen the vibration completely. 😕 OEM is the only way to go imo. $342 ain’t bad
What were the vibraiotns? Idle or at higher speeds?
At idle.
Great video
is 1.3 and 1.8 has the same mount? or different

Yes, I would suspect that is the cause of the issue
