Bought this for our 30foot class c RV after ours started acting up. Delivery was quick and all contents were in good shape. Instructions feel like they were written in a different language and translated but the installation is straight forward. Blows cold and not too noisy. "Things to consider" The remote is really the only way to control with unit. The thermostat is not in the remote just FYI and the remote is IR and not RF so you have to point it at the unit to control it. Overall we are happy with the purchase.

After testing everything imaginable on my Coleman AC, I ordered my RecPro this morning. I chose RecPro not only because of good reviews but because of low power draw and weight. I'll be running it off of a small generator and hopefully won't need to install a soft start.

I have the Houghton 15K heat pump. There are no videos on how to get the cover off and do a maintenance on it like cleaning all the coils, etc. It would be great if you made one!

I have the Rec Pro A3800 NON-ducted and My question is. Does air come out of the adjustable vents? Only Place I feel cooling air is on the sides of the unit.

Did you connect the insulated sleeve to the lower unit? Sounds like maybe you did not.

Does the fan shut off when the thermostat reaches temperature?

  • @iair-conditiontheoutsideai3076

So did you just bypass the existing thermostat on the wall?

@@rightdirectiondrv So basically it's just plug and play no wiring to the thermostat correct? I have a dometic unit on a 2006 camper so it's got one of the older styles thermostats I was just curious how the new one would wire to that

@Lil heat pump they way this unit comes, there is no way to connect a thermostat. There might be an additional part that can make it work but not sure

I can't remember but I want to say no. Would be a good idea to grab a small package of them.
