John Fox is the best coach in Panthers history. This video reminds us of how hard it is for a team to get back to the super bowls. My respect & appreciation goes up for those great teams that do get back.
I’ve been here ever since the George Kittle video and it’s incredible how much you grew when I saw the kittle vid you only had 800 subs good job man keep it up
Reminds me of those early Elway Broncos teams, he was so good the team leaned on him too much too. When they came up against a truly talented outfit (esp good defensive teams) , shanahan found Terrell Davis and that is why Elway has two rings.
6:40 The Panthers aren't the first team to miss the playoffs following a Super Bowl birth at all. Even ignoring that the Broncos missed the playoffs the same year, the Chiefs missed the playoffs after the very first SB. So no one is beating that record. In fact it is actually kind of common. The Packers missed the playoffs in 1968 after back to back SB wins. The Steelers have done this in 2006 and 2009 following SB appearances. The Patriots missed it in 08. Heck, not only were they not the first team, they weren't even the first or second teams of that same decade to do it. The Giants in 2012 missed it just a few years earlier than the Panthers and Broncos did. So did the Ravens in 2013. Really I didn't even have to try to find examples and this isn't all of them.
Being a Panthers fan is something else. You just never know what the hell you'll get with each year. One year, you'd think you'll suck due to missing key players, but you end up going to the Super Bowl. Next year, you'd think you'll return, but instead get only 7 wins. It's enough to drive a sane man crazy. Lol

As a Panthers fan, I was disappointed of the downfall and never reached another superbowl after that horrible 2015 superbowl defeat to the Denver Broncos. Our downfall killed us a lot and hopefully we can comeback and be more dangerous.
And with a state that leans more on the University of North Carolina Tar Heels and Duke Blue Devils in the realm of sports makes this all the more frustrating. And I'm not even a Panthers fan.
Damn.. it's tough to see Cam not being superman rn. Dude got me into watching football and I was super disappointed when he didn't beat the broncos in SB50, but I know he'll be back and I truly hope he can win a superbowl

Very good Video! Indeed as a Panthers fan at the moment it is a bit frustrating..But we dont say "Keep Pounding" just for fun,our time will come and I think it will not take that long.
Cash is King trucking things are starting to change in the AFC east. The Patriots are not so tough anymore, Tom Brady is aging and the game is starting to catch up with him. The Buffalo Bills might be the new leader of the AFC east providing they keep up the good work and most importantly beat the Patriots tomorrow in Foxborough.
As a casual who doesn't follow or haven't ever watched a full NFL season before (more of a basketball fan) I find Cam Newton to be one if not my favorite quarter back or player in the league. And even though I haven't watch much of his game I mostly like him because of his playing style, charisma, and his personality of being a nice person from the short Nickelodeon series that I use to watch. I will also say that I like that you put the music provider in description even though you didn't show each song name there or in the video.
Carolina is not a bad team overall. They've been really good before and they can do it again. If u ask me though, as far as the quarterback position is concerned, keep Cam n there. Hes already proven himself a solid quarterback. He will bounce back. Now McCaffrey is n there. God I'm scared about the talent this team has/could have again.......................from a Saints fan.
I'ma year one panther fan, and I don't want to see Cam Newton leave us. I also want to keep certain expensive talents as well. But I believe we owe Cam his contract year....
Wish cam would have devoted himself to football instead of being an absent minded celebrity. Never developed a soft touch, didn't develop as far as he should have mentally and had concentration problems and questionable decision making in games. Unspectacular career for the most gifted athlete the league has ever seen. In the superbowl season he was looking ahead to winning the SB and being the man, essentially "counted his chickens before the hatched"
you said all that and he will be starting next year?? that's wild. He has devoted himself to football. He has actually improved every year as a passer... as far as what he can control. In fact he was having another MVP season just last year. What irks me is that the "reason" cam hasn't "improved" in your opinion, and many others is based solely off of injury. He has been hurt. That's not because cam isn't dedicated enough. Cam's very flamboyant that's true...he's also a great QB. He hasn't really underachieved...He's been injured, and me being reasonable and logical won't allow me to put that on his work ethic and determination. He'll be back next year, and hopefully he will stop playing hurt, I would say that him playing hurt is the biggest flaw he has had in his career, but that is kind of a pro sports thing...so maybe I blame the medical staff🤷♂️. I wonder what the narrative will be if he plays healthy next season.
@@thetrib1 you say cam is a smart quarterback like Brady, Rodgers or Russell wilson? I don't want to make those comparisons because it has racial connotations and that's not what I mean, but cam is not a smart quarterback and hasn't developed mentally. The broncos superbowl game just showcases that. Every dual threat quarterback uses their legs to open up passing lanes and cam never threatened the run to open up the pass in his career he always runs or passes. Big Ben is a master of that. A professional quarterback should be studying football and learning like it's his job. Cam wants to he celebrity. Pretty much at the end of the day if Ben roethlisberger is better than cam Newton then cam didn't do his job and devote himself to football. No excuse on that one when you compare the two physically.
@@benjackson1506 I didn't say cam is a smart QB...not once did I say that. saying cam newton isn't smart isn't racial in anyway, but I know what you mean. saying he isn't smart is dumb though. Are you a smart observer?? doesn't seem like it. I base development off of individual progress, and not results oriented progress. He has developed a lot since rookie year, and also has developed since the super bowl year. He has gotten injured and that's mainly what holds him back. call it a reason not and excuse. I don't see why he should be ridiculed for that. "Every dual threat quarterback uses their legs to open up passing lanes and cam never threatened the run to open up the pass in his career he always runs or passes." that's false cam does do that, now if you mean every play almost then that would just be lamar jackson...no one else is like him. "Big Ben is a master of that." haha no he isn't...unless you're talking about something else. Big ben isn't a threat to run. Russell wilson or lamar might be the best at it(mahomes is pretty good as well). cam newton and Big ben are 2 different players in 2 different organizations with 2 different circumstances. I think if you swapped qbs( steelers have cam, and panthers have big ben) then cam would "seem" like the better QB to you. It would be nice to see cam newton with a top 3 talented offense year in and year out. He has had a franchise WR 1 year, and that was his rookie year. He hasn't even had a #1 wide reciever, let alone franchise wideout, since then. Big Ben's o line has been better, and he also has had a top 5 running back every year at worse until this year, but he did get injured so this year doesn't count. Cam newton is slightly better than Big Ben..not a lot but slightly. he isn't better than Aaron rogers, Pat mahomes, Drew brees, Russell Wilson...but that's about it. there are some players like Jimmy G, and lamar who I just can't put them ahead yet, but it will be inevitable.
Ben Jackson....the most gifted some huh the league has ever what now?!! Baaahahahahahaha!! Man GTFOHWTBS, Cam is a sissified vegan crybaby who's afraid to jump on a tumble cuz he don't wanna get hurt....Smmfh
Ryan Purple Nintendo Eater lol what? So we went from losing with Ron to losing without him? And newsflash buddy, we promoted a random secondary coach to interim HC bc we are trying to lose out and gain draft capital
"Newton has gotten hit a lot"... That's the issue right there, and Rivera is directly to blame. Which type of player has the shortest (or close to it) career? Running backs. Cause they get beat up every play. So what do you expect is going to happen when you have your quarterback double as one? Same thing is going to happen to Lamar Jackson unless something changes. The Seahawks provide the model of the way it should be done. Take a dual threat quarterback, build a good o-line around him to protect him, only have him scramble when he needs to, and have him slide before he gets hit. That's why Russell Wilson has had 136 consecutive starts. Being conservative like that will cost you a few points and maybe even a game or two.... But it won't cost you an entire season.
@@rustyshackleferd875 You may be right, though IMHO it's too early to tell with Jackson. RW wasn't a natural pocket passer either, partly due to his height. They had to work with him for a couple of years and also design the way the o-line worked so that he could see down field. I know they were trying to convert Kaepernick to a pocket passer too and it just wasn't happening. I respect the heck out of the guy and think he should be on a roster but he severely regressed when they told him to stay in the pocket.
Daniel K Chicago has what the Broncos have I think the Bears should give cam a chance he’s still good and they need to get an o line to keep him healthy
Thank you for the video about the panthers current situation. I'm a panther fan and I would love to see a follow up video at the end of the season or free agency if cam leaves.
3:20 of you look closely you can see me I’m between the guy holding the 3rd down marker and the guy right next to him but I’m blocked out by Rivera for almost the entire video

hey man I love your vids and would love to see a retrospective vid about how Ryan Tannehill struggled in Miami but is playing Elite in Tennessee, keep up the good work.
I hope wherever cam ends up, he sees a lot of success. He's an awesome quarterback
His best bets in my opinion, are the LA Chargers if they decide to move on from Philip Rivers after this season, or Tampa Bay
He's an asshole.
John Fox is the best coach in Panthers history. This video reminds us of how hard it is for a team to get back to the super bowls. My respect & appreciation goes up for those great teams that do get back.
Losing to the Redskins, and making Haskins look like an NFL QB, will get any coach fired.
Hahaha and now he's Washington's coach
This video depresses the hell out of me man. As a diehard Panthers fan it hurts knowing we were so close.
As a Panther fan seeing Cam Newton walk will be the hardest thing to accept.
Kevin Rivas Why do you think he’ll walk ?
Marifromda 4 well if they fired Ron Rivera who brought them to a Super Bowl I don’t think Cam is necessarily safe tbh
Kevin Rivas they won’t trade unless they get something good for it. And they won’t drop a healthy cam

Reminds me of those early Elway Broncos teams, he was so good the team leaned on him too much too. When they came up against a truly talented outfit (esp good defensive teams) , shanahan found Terrell Davis and that is why Elway has two rings.

The Panthers 2015 season is what got me into football. It’s sad to see them collapse this quickly
6:40
The Panthers aren't the first team to miss the playoffs following a Super Bowl birth at all.
He already mentioned that in the top comment, but honestly, props to that long comment man.

Lol

I just want to say that you made an error in stating that the Panthers were the first team to miss the playoffs following a Super Bowl berth. It has happened several times. I don't know if you meant to say something else, but that particular statement is completely false

The biggest disappointment of this season has got to be the defense. They have stars on all levels, yet somehow they are just average.

Whenever I think of Cam, I think of that fumble recovery he thought a waste of time. I would have traded him that offseason.
That super bowl loss was the first time I felt real pain in my heart from football (born raised Gastonia, NC)
The Steelers also missed the playoffs after winning a super bowl so those panthers weren’t the first
Ravens and Broncos to.
King Ape Giants as well
Many teams have done it. It's called the Super Bowl Hangover for a reason
Both teams in SB50 missed the following year
Nelson James plus 9ers
As a Panthers fan, I was disappointed of the downfall and never reached another superbowl after that horrible 2015 superbowl defeat to the Denver Broncos. Our downfall killed us a lot and hopefully we can comeback and be more dangerous.
Well I’m a panthers fan this year is the worst year every
One name, Jimmy Clausen. My GOD that was an awful year to be a fan (and I live/grew up in Charlotte and am a fan)

8:55 Luke Kuechly does not look good here, I’m glad he retired before obtaining even more concussions
As a Carolina fan I’m so sad
And with a state that leans more on the University of North Carolina Tar Heels and Duke Blue Devils in the realm of sports makes this all the more frustrating. And I'm not even a Panthers fan.

yeah the Patriots success is largely built on being in the AFC East I mean you're guaranteed 6 wins a year if you're the Patriots
They have better or just as good records against every other division in the NFL, so not really accurate

POV the panthers signed cam back
This video is still so relevant….
The panthers aren’t the only team that can’t have back to back winning seasons. Thanks for calling out my Cowboys.
Two words: Jerry Jones
a healthy cam and an actual O-line is much needed
To be honest I don’t know what’s next for my panthers
Believe it the Panthers will bounce back in spectacular fashion maybe not yet next season but it could take 2-3 years. And of course I'm a Bears fan.
Scooby Carr I hope so
#KeepPounding

I have a feeling the Ron Rivera firing will come back to bite the Panthers
It did if you watched todays game
@Chris L I mean some teams haven't had a winning season in that span. And how many made it to the super bowl in that span?
@Chris L we was also coach of the year twice most coaches are not even coach of the year once
Ryan Purple Nintendo Eater lol what? So we went from losing with Ron to losing without him? And newsflash buddy, we promoted a random secondary coach to interim HC bc we are trying to lose out and gain draft capital
Very good video bro you was on point with everything other than a few errors but no biggy #KeepPounding #PantherFan
Cam Newton is not a talented enough passer to play like Russell Wilson. Neither is Jackson. They had a window and they missed it. Simple as that.
Cam's fashion sense brings me so much joy
Chicago doesn’t need him. It’s better to get a guy in the draft who won’t choke in the Super Bowl
Daniel K Chicago has what the Broncos have I think the Bears should give cam a chance he’s still good and they need to get an o line to keep him healthy
