That is in my TBR. Though Madarij Al Salikin is a commentary on Manzil Al Sairin, I want to read Manazil Al Sairin sepraratey. I am from Afghanistan and I have read other books by Shaykh Al Harawi in Persian. He has a brilliant prose that we rarely find people to write like him. Because of that I want to read it separately.

With you gents permission I’ll pat myself on my back - more then half of selection are in my collection: now to get down to reading them. InshaAllah next in London from Jeddah, would love to meet both of you brothers - this old dog has much to learn from you.

Hi Mr Paul and Mr Adnan. This is Farid Ahmed , the bookstore guy in Mr Adnan's Bookstore video. After that video many customers turned up and asked for the books recommended in the video.
Im really glad that I knew about all of the books that you guys talked about. Because we had them all in our bookstore. We also had oxford book of English poetry that Paul is reading from.
Your reviews are very informative and enjoyable. Paul has beautiful style of reciting poetry and reading verse. Mr Adnan also have excellent narrative skills and style.
I have thoroughly enjoyed this video and I think you guys should continue with this series.
    Interestingly,
When you mentioned Shelly I guessed that ' Ozimmandias ' would be the poem that you are gonna recite and I was right😊

Great presentation, mash’Allah. By the end of the video, I contemplated the bread crumbs that led to my realization of truth and Islam about 4 decades ago. In high school, we had an in-depth study of Milton’s Paradise Lost. The university introduced me to E Kant and the metaphysics of morals. Finally, I enrolled in a Judeo-Christian heritage course that addressed forgeries and contradictions, which started my search for truth and discovery of Islam. What a paralleled path. The English translation in Yusuf Ali’s work is of great appeal. Maybe because it reflects the same form as in the King James Version of the Bible which I grew up reading.
Thank you for this enjoyable video.

Thanks brothers Paul and Adnan for your great recommendations 👍⚘️⚘️ Ozymandias is a Greek corruption of User-Maat-Ra, the throne name of Ramses II (seen by many as the greatest of the ancient Egyptian kings) which passed into early Egyptological literature, Diodorus Siculus identified the Ramesseum as the tomb of Ozymandias (it was actually his mortuary temple), and reports of one of the fallen colossi there later provided some of the inspiration for Shelly's sonnet which you have eloquently read.

Excellent! Thank you both so much for this amazing episode! Two very knowledgeable gentlemen!
Concerning Kant's philosophy, two books helped me a lot during my studies of philosophy at the university: the "Prolegomena" and "Dreams of a Visionary". Both books are written by Kant himself. They are definitely much more readable (and shorter) than the "Critic of Pure Reason". Prolegomena is an abridged version Kant wrote for his own students.
Dreams of a Visionary is a polemic with Swedenborg's "supernatural" claims. That latter book is definitely the key to understand why Kant needs to ascribe limits to the human mind in the context of the Enlightenment....

I will check out Yusuf Ali's translation, for me I heavily recommend AJ Arberry's translation and I consider it my favorite, in my opinion it does a wonderful job of communicating the distinct rythym and melodic essence of the Koran

Salam Paul, does Adnan Rashid know about "Travelling Home" by Tim Winter? I'm sure he does but if he doesn't I'd love for you to introduce it to him. There are so many deep sociological and psychological insights that Adnan would benefit from, do you agree? and Gai Eaton is an amazing writer!

Assalamu alaikum Paul! How are you? I just wanted to ask, you mentioned that it was the poet Henry Longfellow who mentioned in the Psalms of life "All this world is a fleeting show for mans illusion given." Are you sure that it was not the Irish poet Thomas Moore who wrote that line?

Bhai, please make a episode on this - Bilkis banu - a pregnant woman got gang raped, her 7 family members got killed, her toddler daughter got killed by smashing her head, all the crime got proved in courts beyond doubts, but the govt released all the culprits. And the worst thing is - all those culprits are are given a heroic welcome from prison and are being facilitated by religious groups. ruclips.net/video/B7gUFIHAB9U/видео.html
