I'm glad that to see him again here on your channel talking about his favourite books. I hope you make this book talk a regular part of your channel. I usually go to youtube for a special niche called "Book Tube" where people just talk about the books they read but unfortunately, there's not much about Islamic Literature which is why I'm so happy about this. Thankfully Muslims are less than 25% of the world population and people are waking up to how evil this made up religion is. Mohammad's name only appears 3 times in the Quran. US muslims are 1% of the population and many are leaving Islam and also many converts to Christianity. In UK there are churches springing up and one in particular springs to mind with Christmas carols in Farsi. How can the Quran which is one of the most violent religious books in the world ever be regarded as the religion of peace. ha, ha. 72 virgins??

Imam Tom should have made Jevons' "The Coal Question" at the top of his favourite books.
Energy supplies, or lack of them, come first - and then humans became engaged by religions
We hope Imam Tom and his generation of young Muslims will soon convert again and contribute into re-inventing Islam - to be the 1st religion of the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics, too - as the world departing the fossil fuels age back to woods, sunshine and the trauma they suffered during the oil, coal and natural gas era - in the unsafe hands of the West - as we speak.
Islam, post King Hubbert Curve, must not stay the same as Islam before Hubbert Curve - it must be revolutionised and become revolutionising.
The 2nd golden age of Islam, now verified and provable by the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics - is ahead.
When energy looted - it turns - curse.
A curse that destroys in humans consciousness and the future.
Karl Marx, Nikola Tesla, Balfour, Einstein, Huxley, Orwell, Turing - should be forgiven for thinking their systems can last forever.
Finite fossil fuels are dangerously hypnotic to humans, their consciousness and mental capacity.
Humans were not ready morally, ethically and intellectually to start the mass extraction of fossil fuels with the advent of the steam engine 300 years ago.
    The Magna Carta requires today overhauling - adding to it the right for humans to understand what Energy really is - before any other commandment;
“In any system of energy, Control is what consumes energy the most.
No energy store holds enough energy to extract an amount of energy equal to the total energy it stores.
No system of energy can deliver sum useful energy in excess of the total energy put into constructing it.
This universal truth applies to all systems.
Energy, like time, flows from past to future” (2017).

As salāmu 3alaykum, just extending one of the points, I think that Foucault flipping the lens should be applied in the biological sciences. A funny and striking example of this is how ecologists describe species as ‘colonizing’ a territory, but it doesn’t end there. These sort of particularized descriptions of natural phenomena litter biology (from the capitalist framing of resource competition in ecosystems to the postmodern framing of endless flexibility or species). To the objection that this is merely descriptive, I say that I reject this by saying that these particularized terms and categories influence and inform the way evolutionary biologists and ecologists think about natural phenomena in a very real way- ie it is not just “innocently doing science” without assumptions.
Just some preliminary thoughts, wallahu ‘a3lam.

Paul and Imam Tom shed light on the development of human morality/ethics and the discussion takes important turns, even including 'equitable distribution of wealth'. In this regard, the periphery is widened and includes Marxists, including the Chinese president Xi Jinping and his theory of prosperity for all, utilization of limited resources of the earth and protecting climate and using the resources with future generations considered. Making the discussion very rich and for all. Both Paul and Imam Tim are brought together by history. I can remember some American missionaries who could add some weight to the discussion.

"Who is bigger, jesus or Allah?" is what started everything. about 7 years ago a Bengali young Sheikh was asked this shocking question by a Muslim child in Italy, as shocking as it was, it helped him realise the great lack of knowledge Muslims in Europe, specifically Italy, where he just moved to. But sheikh Aref Mahmoud didn't want to just move on with his life and let someone else deal with this hefty weight, instead he decided to take manners into his own hands and started his long futuristic project of opening Islamic education centre's not just in italy but all across Europe. He has so far by the Grace of Allah (with help of others) opened 3 Quranic school all in the italian province of Veneto in italy, but that's not enough he wants to start a this new centre that will include the following:
a Dawah centre for non muslims.
publishing house for the translation of many books into the Italian language.
A full 7 year program in the upcoming centre, with not just to produce memorizers of the holy quran and reciters but to produce knowledgeable muslims in all needed areas (like tajweed, fiqh, hadith, arabic etc.) the course will be supervised and taught by different teachers speaking different languages to include as many Muslims as possible in the heart of the busy city of Padova.

“The one thing you can’t be (expected to be) is traditional”….in the new way world view. So true…..(possibly why the vacillating politics are so confusing nowadays, even totalitarian in nature).
(And who regretted more the building of the bomb than Oppenheimer himself, without meaning to have created something so powerfully destructive). Glad it was also mentioned that the shallow governments far-away that “sprinkle” Islamic phrases with their own secular agendas -these, too, cause peril for many.

I appreciate your nice comment. I am trying to "check out Islam" although I have not read the Quran yet. However as I learn more about Islam, I'm becoming aware of things in my own mind that suggest I need to seek guidance. What exactly is the "philosophy" of Islam? Thanks

@@johnbrzykcy3076 I'll gladly explain it to you briefly with my limited knowledge of Islam. So the Islamic philosophy is the believe that all Truth comes from Allah SWT, The Creator.
Allah SWT reveals this truth to humanity through the prophets, from Adam, Noah, Abraham, David, Solomon, Jesus, and many more until the last one, Muhammad.
He sent prophets to guide us on how to deal with each other, with ourself, and with Allah SWT.
To be a Muslim (a person that follows the teachings of Islam), we have to submit our will to Allah and prioritize what Allah wants us to do. It's because we believe that Allah is The All-Knowing so Allah knows what's best for us, His creation.
We may not do it perfectly or we may have many mistakes in trying to do what Allah said, but Allah SWT is The Most Merciful. We can always ask Allah SWT for forgiveness.
Allah SWT also aware that many unjust and unfair things happens in our lives, but because Allah is The Most Just, He will balance the books in the hereafter. Allah knows best. I hope it benefits you.

@@r-7498 Yes... very beneficial and as a Christian believer, I agree with a lot of what you said. The only difference that I see is the doctrine or belief in Christianity that Jesus was crucified to bear our sins. In my understanding ( which is very limited ), that means Jesus took sin upon Himself in order to destroy the power of sin. So as you said, "Allah knows what's best for us." And if Jesus came to bear our sins, that was the best way to show God's love.
I'm no scholar and I also have "limited knowledge" about Christianity. Your summation about Islam is excellent. I appreciate it. Peace to you

The difference between Christianity and Islam is monotheism. Watch the Islamic monotheism of Sheikh Hassan Somali. For more, read the book Altawhid by Sheikh Muhammad Abdel Wahhab, which is one of the most important books in the Islamic faith.
To watch the debates between Muslims and Christians, you can watch: Shamsi Channel, Sheikh Othman bin Al-Farouq, DawahIsEasy and Ahmed Deedat.

Tawheed (altawhid) means: a direct relationship between you and God without an intermediary, whether it is an idol, a shrine, or a religious man.

Why pray to Jesus pease and blessings on him while you have God who created Jesus available to you? In Islam that is not ok because God made Jesus fatherless as a sign for his power and creation so people will worship him. In fact, in the Quran God said that the creation of Jesus is like the creation of Adam. Here, you can see that nothing special about the creature but the creator.

However I am becoming aware that there is a "correlation" or connection between Adam and Jesus. Adam disobeyed God but Jesus perfectly obeyed God. Right?
