Very refreshing video! Always a pleasure to listen to the conversation of such knowledgeable gentlemen! Seeing those coins while listening the comments literally makes history alive! Great job! PS:I would perhaps suggest to check the editing at around 29'. Unfortunately the picture doesn't seem to match the description.
Dr.Rashid Adnan, many thanks.Really,I got new ideas about the history of coins,my attention was fascinated by those which printed on Tuwahed words. BTW,I follow you in other channel, frankly ,MashaAllah your work is fabulous.May Allah reward you and I wish you all the best in your upcoming endeavours. Many blessings to you Mr.Paul William.
A very interesting numismatic collection! The oldest coin I have is an 1892 English Penny, but to hold a coin which is almost 2400 years old - wow, just wow!
Brother Paul, thank you always for your wonderful videos. Can you please re-list brother Adnan’s roles? A couple of roles I didn’t quite get ( new Mismetist, bibliofall?! )🤔
Amazing discussion. However at 29 minutes when brother Adnan was speaking about the Roman solidus, by mistake he showed the Muslim coinage in the close up view.
As a fan of numismatics, I truly enjoyed this video. I'm also a big fan of brother Adnan. However, I agree with Brother Paul, I personalky can't bring myself to utter the honorific title of "great" after the name Alexander, or Constantine for thst matter. Lol
wow ustaz adnan… all these coins r ur personal collection..? is it possible to re edit the part where ustaz adnan supposed to show a christian gold coin.. bt instead showing the umayyad gold coin (which was shown twice)…. 😅😅😅
Assalamualaikum brother Paul, adnan & the family, thx again for the interesting & beautiful information, "my logically guess is the pope & kings knows for sure about the imitated coin" & this scenario will lead us to many intresting discoveries
Thank you br. paul . Very educational and fascinating. However @ 28 by mistake he says emperor but the coin shows arabic . He needs correct it if possible .

@@noname-oi2jh True and so strange. If the world goes into war or anarchy, a person with bucket loads of paper money or electronic money will have nothing, as systems will all collapse.
How did the earlier Muslims deal with the fact that Allah's name and Qur'anic verses etc on the coins had the potential to fall in dirt? And probably did a lot....
People those days were lucky to use real money to buy real merchandise, unlike today using junk paper money to buy Chinese junk. Sorry to admit it, but we are modern junkies.

Why did you show an gold byzantine solidus emperor for 2 seconds and the switch to the two completely different gold coins? 29:00-29:08. There is absolutely no written proof for what Adnan is saying about the Muslims being pragmatic concerning currency as true. It does make for a interesting story, but no factual evidence.

It interesting dhul-qarnayn stopped being Alexander the Great once information came to light that he was a Bisexual wine drinking Pagan and later demigod. Also interesting that legends from the Alexander romance tales are found in the Quran. Weird.
"It has been claimed by Nöldeke and subsequent scholarship that the Qur'anic story of Dhul-Qarnayn was borrowed from the Christian Legend attributed to Jacob of Serugh. Internal evidence however shows that it was composed after 628 CE. Investigations by Hunnius, Kmoskó and Czeglédy have conclusively shown that the writer had ex eventu (i.e., a prophesy or predication after the event) knowledge of Khazar invasion of Armenia. The text provides no date by which the terminus ad quem (a final limiting point in time) can be fixed."
@@quixoticmelancholic7141 Zakir Naik say dhul-qarnayn is Cyrus the Great since Alexander the Great is off limits since he was a Bisexual wine drinking Pagan. Unfortunately Cyrus the Great used his army and resources to find stolen and looted Pagan idols so he could return them to their Pagan temples out of respect. Get up out of one hole just to fall in another.
@@lahleholivia7398 Dr. Naik has his opinions, but that does not make him a scholar of history: more importantly, why are you mentioning Cyrus anyway? No one is talking about Cyrus. Alexander is said to have died in 323 BCE, and apparently the earliest Greek source about him dates to the 1st century CE. A lot can get twisted in 300 years. Beyond that, consider that it doesn't matter if he actually was a "Bisexual wine drinking Pagan", only that he ceased to be one before his exploits allegedly mentioned in the Quran. He isn't called (or assumed to be) a prophet, and sincere repentance upon accepting the Truth is all that is required to make one right with God in Islam (as I understand). Historical arguments are very weak, and have been defeated many times upon the discovery of contrary evidence.
@@quixoticmelancholic7141 How did he accepted the truth when the truth had not been revealed. And he found the setting place of the sun 🌅 that's impressive.
@@lahleholivia7398 It appears you are unfamiliar with the Quranic view of religious history, as well as a bit lazy in your thought process. In a nutshell, the idea is that God inspires certain individuals (prophets) throughout history with the message of pure monotheism and moral behavior, sometimes as warners to others, sometimes chosen for specific purposes. The" Truth" is divine guidance revealed at any period in history. Submission to that guidance is what Islam literally means, thus any person at any point in history is a Muslim if she/he submits to the divine guidance for that era. For example, if Alexander did go to Jerusalem and meet with the Jews there, (per Josephus ), then he might have embraced the monotheism and morality of the Jews without actually converting to Judaism ( Platonic philosophy does seemingly point to monotheism, after all). That is just one possibility I can imagine. As for your "setting sun" comment, it appears you also suffer from unfamiliarity with literary language ( I sincerely hope you realize I did not actually put anything into the actual shell of a nut). Do yourself a favor: instead of presenting red herrings, responding with non-sequiturs, and strawmen, try actually reading something for yourself and try to actually understand before forming an opinion, instead of letting 3rd rate anti-Muslim websites do your thinking for you. Peace.
45:52 this dinar is not of King Offa and there is no evidence to suggest that. There is another example citing King Offa in the British Museum but thats about it. Your example is certainly an imitation of an Islamic Abbasid dinar of al-Mahdi, however its impossible to pinpoint where it originated since there's no indication. It could very well have been the North Caucasian region or Central Asia or Morocco, since these places are also known to have imitated early Abbasid dinars.

Are these from Adnan's personal collection?
are we muslim viewing on "gold silver based" crypto coin in future??
Second and third coin probably depict Hercules (mythical God), not Heracleus (Byzantine emperor) as Adnan claims.
What? :D Thats what he said "HERACLES" the Greek hero. "Hercules" is the Romanised name of the same hero. Greek ks original.
I learnt that Khaleefa Umar Ra made the coin in Madeenah?🤔
