I remember I asked you about using your hair products on my relaxed hair and you answered me by saying that I probably don't need a relaxer in my hair I'm really glad you said that I'm doing the natural thing now I'll never put another relaxer in my hair again my curl pattern is pretty nice I really starting to love it and to be honest my hair was just growing to fast showing my white gray hair to quickly I got tired of buying those relaxers every month I love the savings and I love my hair tender headed but I'll manage 😀thank you.
😁 lol Damian.. you have me laughing so loud. That song took me out. All in all I'm a big supporter of yours and appreciate the knowledge and passion you have for hair.
I haven't watched his videos in a while, but I am really glad to see less of the "skits" and hear less of the "dogging" of others in the industry (We all know they are wrong). I was glad to get right to the education and treatments of the client's hair situation. Great job Damian!! Keep up the good work and continue to prosper. Be blessed brotha
Damian starting my locs on Dec13,2017 and this is my first time and I am getting the coil done. I watch you all the time. Thank you for the education. I am from Starkville, Ms. Love you
Yes Damian, but you must understand people don't want to work anymore they want to take the fast way out and that is one of the problems. Another problems is people find out they don't like doing hair, maybe they thought it was going to be easy, breezy, cover girl and they find out it is more intense than they thought.
Ahh...now I know why my hair has changed. It's because it's going grey. Thank you Damian; now I am back in the game! Thank you my love and may God bless you and every head you touch. 'All of the above'...I love it! Blessings x
Hey Damian I just wanted to say thank you for these videos I'm currently getting braidlocs and I am super happy about it. Watching your videos has given me the confidence and information I needed to go through my loc journey. Thank you so much.
Damien you are GOOD!!!! I wish I could take your class, I'm in Atlanta & I'm gonna lookout for your visit here. Thank you for sharing knowledge with us.
I gotta question. Ive been semi locked for going on 10months. My hair has definitely grown but for some reason all of my new growth doesnt grow with my dread but around it? Any tips
I'm not sure if you've touched on this in a previous video but what are your opinion on locs with people with psoriasis? I have psoriasis and am currently contemplating locs. I just want to make sure I'm making the right choice.
I love following you on RUclips, however when did you start making videos that we can't see the hair up close.. You're making your videos too professional... I fell in love with your realness in the videos.. And the lightening isn't that good 😢 but I still gain knowledge from you so that's all that count 😍
I would love locs but I do not trust the stylist in my area (Chicago). I've has bad experiences with my natural hair and do not want to give them a chance to fup some locs.
The Sally's in my area didn't have the stimulation but they did have the deep cleansing with oatmeal protein.... and the moisture retention conditioning shampoo.
Tiffany Milligan Drink a lot of water, a gallon if you can. Try Trader Joe's Tea Tree Tingle Shampoo/Conditioner set. Also get a scalp messager so you can remove the dead skin during your shampoo sessions. Be sure to message deep conditioners into your scalp & stick to natural products if you can. The chemicals can irritate your scalp. Also it could be the water if your diet & everything else is on point with your routine.
doThatGWalk I have been using Shea Moisture Black Castor line for the past 3 months to help but it doesn't. My hair look good thou, lol. Thanks for the suggestions.
Tiffany Milligan Yeah that's good, I heard the Shea Mositure Shea Butter line was better for transitioning hair because they have some heat curl styler for transition hair or something. I know the Jamaican Caster line has some protein in it & is probably more for hair that needs a boost. Either way try messaging the deep conditioner into your scalp & the shampoo I recommended has tea tree & peppermint oil which are good for fighting itchy scalps. I use it too in conjuction with a scalp messager & the messager really made a difference thr 1st time I used it.
Charmisha Henry It's ok, natural based products are better for your hair & body in general. Shea Moisture, Giovanni, Mane Choice, Aubrey Organics have more natural based ingredients than Pantene but I heard the Gold series was ok.
doThatGWalk Damian isn't a natural based person. He goes in on people like that talking about people destroying their hair using nuts and berries😂 I would think it was the opppsite because silicones cause build up but nope!
4:55 that sounds like me. I try to keep my hair clean without over washing it but it seems like I always have dandruff. I think my hair is kinda thick so that its washing the dandruff off my scalp but not out of my hair, anybody got any tips? Also I don't know how to braid my own hair so when I wake up its matted and a little dry so I wet it and use detangler to fix it, is this normal? Im starting actually locking in November but Im trying to get my hair into a nice healthy state before hand.
When i use leave in and oil i have to wet my hair to unflatten and fluff in the morning, but when i finish with whipped shea butter my hair stays malleable for a couple days but feels a bit oily
Thanks, I've gotta check my products. with that black tea+ apple cider vinegar is that literally just black tea like the kind you drink and apple cider vinegar mixed together? If so whats the mixture ratio?
Gorilla Phoenix It sounds like your scalp is dry. Make sure you are drinking enough water. Also try checking your shampoo. Stick to natural or organic shampoos. If the one you use has sulfates, try a better one. Shea Moisture, Giovanni, Mane Choice, Aubrey Organics & As I Am have good natural products. Also get a silicone free conditioner for detangling & a good silicone free natural deep conditioner & be sure to message it in your scalp & leave it on under a bag for at least an hour or overnight. The deep conditoner is important because it will revitalize your hair & support it with more moisture. Also get a good leave in & an oil. Do this at least once a week & your hair will be a lot more healthier. Let me know if you have any questions.
Gorilla Phoenix ^ i agree with what this person said. I do have eczema and acne and i started taking fish oil a while ago and it seems to have helped my body skin a lot, i used to be horribly dry even with lotion and now i can get away without lotioning sometimes, so it might have helped my scalp as well
7 days until my journey begins with this dude. I really have half-a-mind to fly out to Houston for continual maintenance. At least at the start.
Me, I'm beginning my journey with him, tomorrow :) So excited too!
Antoine Bandele gl bro

I would SOOOOO LOVE to watch you go undercover and expose some of these crazy ass people charging outrageous prices.
Carmindy Stevens Yes, I would love to see that!

Hey Damian I just wanted to say thank you for these videos I'm currently getting braidlocs and I am super happy about it. Watching your videos has given me the confidence and information I needed to go through my loc journey. Thank you so much.

I'm not sure if you've touched on this in a previous video but what are your opinion on locs with people with psoriasis? I have psoriasis and am currently contemplating locs. I just want to make sure I'm making the right choice.

Do I need to cut off my flat ironed hair before starting locs?
How do I set up an appointment with you to get my Locs started please get back to me as soon as possible
I love following you on RUclips, however when did you start making videos that we can't see the hair up close.. You're making your videos too professional... I fell in love with your realness in the videos.. And the lightening isn't that good 😢 but I still gain knowledge from you so that's all that count 😍
How do i get your loc ed curl plus your range of shampoo and conditioners. I'm from Ghana....west africa
I would love locs but I do not trust the stylist in my area (Chicago). I've has bad experiences with my natural hair and do not want to give them a chance to fup some locs.
Damian does interlocking make your hair look shorter
Teandre Johnson yes. Yes it does
it was 2017 nd he still got the 360p camera
Any suggestions on how to close my ends?? I have curly ends but they unravel. Especially when it is washed / wet.
Renee Roberts you may need to band your hair when you wash. Those soft kid ponytail holders and do a few ponytails with the holder at the ends
Is silk elements mega silk moisturizing treatment a good substitute for the design essentials stimulation?
The Sally's in my area didn't have the stimulation but they did have the deep cleansing with oatmeal protein.... and the moisture retention conditioning shampoo.
Does anyone know how much he charges for a retwist
Do you have any suggestions for dry scalp and dandruff with transitioning hair.

Gorilla Phoenix i use about 2 tablespoons acv in 1 and 3/4 of a cup black tea made with 1 regular tea bag
