Because they’re practically indestructible. If you’re traveling a lot to odd places with only one small airline option, with very expensive clothing and shoes, you want some thing that won’t get damaged. Most of the time we don’t understand these things because they’re in a higher tax bracket than us.
Sometimes it's just easier to donate your stuff. We have donated working cars in hopes that someone who needs it will get it. I have been there and appreciated all of the help i could get. ❤

Hope you put them is a plastic bag in and kept them in a garage or something for at least a week before bringing them into your house. thats the kids t way to make sure you didn't bring any live bedbugs in with that luggage
If you're worried about bedbugs (legit concern), you really need to bag and keep things away for a year, preferably covered in diatomaceous earth. Bedbugs can live much longer than a week in isolation.
I don’t even go to Goodwill anymore because it is not thrifty priced. They are charging way too much and if you look into their financial situations, they are helping out the community the way they say they are.

The ones that are donated are much older and Rimowa no longer reproduces them. It also depends on where it was made. Older ones don’t have the life time warranty. These are pretty banged up and older Rimowa luggage’s are known for that.

Being banged up doesn't deplete their durability at all. Those will last a lifetime. People don't even know what they're talking about around here, and it shows.
That's the point, luggage gets beat up but it's built to last. Not everything is about looks, it's the build quality.
