    Even though there are 20+ Spanish-speaking countries in the world, each one has its own dialect and way of speaking. Here we will compare Spain Spanish to Argentinian Spanish, and finally, compare them to my own Mexican Spanish. Thank you to Camila and Natalia for teaching us about your unique language and culture! Thank you for watching, you're awesome :) New videos every Saturday.
    Who Am I?:
    👋 Hola, I'm Nate. I used to not know any Spanish at all, and I had no interest in learning the language. I thought learning Spanish would be boring, a waste of time, and would provide no value to my life. Then I started taking Spanish classes in high school and everything changed for me. I struggled with learning the language a lot at first, but thanks to my teachers and my Spanish speaking friends, they helped make the learning process fun. Within a few months, I had gotten to a conversational level, but more important, I had become a more confident person. The real win for me, though, was the friendships I made and strengthened. I discovered that not only did I have higher self esteem, but being out in the real world with people, whether old friends or new ones I met, made me feel more alive and connected with the world around me. Now it's my goal to create videos that make you smile and inspire you to learn Spanish or another language!

    I played football (soccer) with two brothers from Argentina and when they would argue with each other it sounded very Italian, a very rhythmic and musical flow. This team was very international so we heard accents from Spain, Mexico, Argentina, Guatemala, and Colombia.

    Both of the accents were so nice to hear. Ive never heard the argentinan accent in reality, only the spanish one cause I've been to Spain but I'd like to travel to Argentina just to hear the Spanish accent.
    Como siempre, buen video Nate 😁

    Hey Nate, I know it's more work on your end but I do appreciate when you write the subtitles in Spanish and English. Really helps to learn new words and phrases. Cheers!

    Todos tenemos acento diferente y todos son lindos.Yo prefiero el chilango mexicano por ser despacio.
    facil de entender y con aquel cantadito peculiar.

    My maternal grandmother used to say "Que linda. Que chula." (pardon no accents) when we were kids & would pinch our face (cheeks). They were originally from Mexico.

    Nate, a suggestion I have for you is to not put the subtitles on the screen, and instead put them in the closed captions area where you can decide to turn them on or off so that it’s easier to avoid reading the subtitles when you’re practicing listening without them

    Neutral es alguien que no participa en una guerra, lo del acento es NEUTRO. Los colores que combinan con otros colores también son neutros, no neutrales. El ph 7 de una disolución es neutro, no neutral.

    8:40 dicen que la origen de la palabra chingon viene de los soldados de la revolución Mexicana malpronunciando “machine gun” para referir a la arma más chingon que tenían!

    Mensaje para la argentina: yo soy de Buenos AIres, tengo 64 años y nunca pronunciamos "SH" para "Y" o "LL", eso lo empezaron a hacer las nuevas generaciones, yo diria a partir de los años '80. "Yo digo lluvia" con el sonido de "John" y no el sonido de "Sean", se entiende la diferencia??

    • @henhaooahneh
      @henhaooahneh 3 месяца назад

      Es la evolución normal de ese sonido, la ese de Sean [ʃ] se articula igual que la jota de John [dʒ] pero sin que vibren las cuerdas vocales, se llama ensordecimiento. De hecho Sean y John son el mismo nombre (Juan) pero los irlandeses hicieron como dices que hacen los porteños más jóvenes y ensordecieron el sonido [dʒ]

      @@henhaooahneh los idiomas están vivos y evolucionan. Pero yo todavia no me morí y pronuncio como los de mi generación. Es más, a veces me divierto cuando algún locutor de radio hace bromas por como pronuncian la "Y" los mas jóvenes.
