I’m due to have my first in 10 weeks, and my husband and I want plenty of children. I think FAR ahead sometimes and like to mentally prepare in advance and I’ve been overwhelmed with the thought of being pregnant with littles… or littles and a newborn. But I know God will be my grace and my strength and worrying about it doesn’t help anything. Thanks for showing some of what it can be like! Thankfully the growth is gradual enough-it doesn’t just happen overnight. Children are a blessing, and parenting one of the most selfless choices to make! Especially for mothers who choose to stay home more. Children become your life’s work and there is a sense of loss of self. But it’s a beautiful thing.
Congratulations!! I totally understand the nervousness, we were too! But honestly the transition from none to 1 is hardest (because your whole life changes and it’s such a learning curve) but the second was so much easier. We knew what we were doing (mostly 😅) good luck to you!! 💛

Reminds me of my nephews so much. I can't believe how big they are getting, and Oaklan's temperament is so sweet and funny. Halston is getting cuter and cuter. I loved this video how down to earth it was and relatable. It must really feel like work to get the camera out these days but I'm glad you shared your day with us. I'm totally giving unsolicited advice today - but I used to get restless legs terribly when pregnant. I found that taking calcium with magnesium by Nature's Bounty right before bed almost completely eliminated it. Another trick was to eat a banana and have a little milk before bed. Something about the potassium, magnesium and calcium really helped me.

I enjoyed this style video, hoping to see more of this. As a SAH mother of 2 toddlers and one on the way (we’re due only a day apart) it’s encouraging to watch this. I realize I’m not alone 😌

Hey y’all, enjoyed watching your video! I know you mentioned you’re still trying to figure out the discipline part, and I’m sure no parent ever fully “arrives” in that department, but I can recommend a couple books that you guys may be interested in reading. “Shepherding a Child’s Heart” by Tedd Tripp is a phenomenal book, as well as “Raising Spiritual Champions.” I studied the first book in college as I was preparing to teach, and my parents loved both books. I’m expecting my first baby due in August, so I’m definitely not an expert, but I do feel my parents learned a lot of things raising me and my four siblings, and those were two of their favorite books on raising children. I am a K5 teacher, and I can attest to the importance of parents being lovingly firm (Proverbs 23:13-14; Proverbs 29:15). Also, gotta say I was impressed with the flossing routine with your toddlers haha! I’m not sure I’ve ever met parents who do that so extra brownie points for you guys! 😆 I’m just happy if my students show up to school with their teeth brushed lol! 😉

Find the discipline that works for each child. They're very different. You'll figure it out. Boundaries keep everyone happy. It helps to give them a choice. If you choose to hit, this will happen. Your choice. ♥️🥰

I think it's nice you apologize to your children when needed. My son and I still apologize to one another and he's 24 years old. I always think it's so funny because our "slip-ups" are so mild. For example, he will apologize if he gets hangry and his tone is a little off. So mild, really. ~ It's sweet though. :)

The correct term is “adjustment” rather than “popped”.😉. Many people won’t go to a chiropractor because they are afraid of the connotation. The adjustment just moves the person’s spine etc., back in alignment as muscles will pull them out of alignment in our daily physical activity. Beats taking all kinds of medication to cover up (but not resolve the actual problem.

You have been very blessed Sutton. My opinion, not that you have asked but I providing my thoughts. My kids are 17 and older. I would definitely put your kids in timeout and spank for circumstances that are either dangerous or crossing the line. Looking the other way or ignoring is what I detest seeing in parents. Teach them as many good qualities of a person and about God as early as possible. Be consistent. Apologies to your kids are good. Your children are precious. Praying for your pain to be low and for your sleep to be better. Good luck with baby #3 labor. Thank you for including us in your children's lives. Being a loving mom you are making a difference in their lives! My kids are always telling me things they remember, liked or disliked.

I just wanted to pop in and see if you’ve addressed the itching with your doctor / midwife? I had severe itching at night with my first son and had Cholestasis. It’s a severe condition that can cause issues with pregnancy / the baby. Just wanted to make you aware!

I raise chickens. I've always said "chicken" for both the rooster and hen...unless I am specifically referring to the roosters, I say rooster and vice versa for the hens.
Maybe have Oakham and Halston can share a room together. Baby will definitely need a room of his own so he doesn’t wake up the kids when he cries.
How did you transition from bottle to sippy cup? We have tried a few times and Liam just refuses! So we just go back to the bottle, to make sure he gets his milk. He’s 20 months now. I want to switch to the sippy cup so bad!! 😅😩
Try using a straw cup instead, easy to teach too, just look up some tutorials ☺️ it’s actually better for their oral development to not use sippy cups ❤️

You are a great Mom! Those boys are so adorable. I have three girls ages 6, 8 and 10. I applaud you on helping them brush their teeth! We are terrible about remembering our dental hygiene in our house! I did notice one thing, though: make sure you insist that the boys obey RIGHT away. If you really nip that delayed obedience (not laying down to be changed, or playing with the nightlight when it’s time for nap) in the bud when they are toddlers, it will pay off so much when they are older! Toddlerhood is a critical stage for discipline. I remember feeling like we were trying to figure out the best way to handle things. One of my kids didn’t seem to care if she got a spanking, so we took privileges away more for her. We still do time outs. We spank very rarely now because they were spanked more when they were 2 to 4. And with a 10 year old, she doesn’t get spanked, but she does have privileges taken away when she makes bad choices.
