I remember when I was so addicted to porn I started doing it as a "job" , I was heavy into drinking and drugs....I rejected God All the time and made a mockery of Christians.... There was So many times people tried sharing the gospel with me and I rejected them time and time again, I had so much anger, so much darkness within me, I was a slave to the enemy and I didn't even know it, I thought I was living "free".... Long story short , it took me to be at my Lowest when I was more suicidal then ever before, I was crying out to my dad on the phone and he begged me to pray, I was angry at his response and hung up....moments letter I fell to my knees and was So desperate and cried out to God.....not even knowing if I was being heard or not.....SO much poured out of my spirit, I don't even remember half of what I said....all I know is after that moment, something hit me, I felt something I never felt before....I was Never the same again, I felt God....I didn't even know what that meant, but now I know it was fully God, I felt a sense of peace and like I wasn't alone ... I felt in my heart that God was really true....he was really....Real....I couldn't explain it, but from that day forward I have Never been the same, over time I gave up all of my addictions and repented for all of my ways ... I now have been completely sober for 3 years and stopped doing / watching porn for over 5....God IS TRUE he IS, the GOD OF MIRACLES!!!!!!!!! If he could change me from the wicked woman I once was...I'm telling you, he can do a mighty work in ANYONE!!!!! I thank the Lord everyday that I'm Not who I used to be, ALL GLORY TO GOD!!!!!🙏💜

Great topic! Thanks for sharing! One tip that my wife and I have done since we got married is ask each other how we are doing in the "love and respect" area. She asks me if I have felt respected by her and I ask her if she feels loved by me. It's been a good exercise for us! Just another idea! Keep up the good work, and God bless you and your family!

Couples and couples to be will set their standards high and with self- worth. Love the praying suggestion and talking about omission. Sutton and Nate, it is nice to see how you love, honor each other, to always nurture your marriage to keep it thriving and take each other’s needs always to heart, talk a bout things openly and seek mentorship if needed. Bonus Tip: In sickness and in health; In sickness remember your vows and know that it could be the other way around and it be you. So many people leave marriages when there is a dire diagnosis. It's a hard road to toll, however, this is an honor to serve the other spouse when a life altering circumstance of health changes the trajectory of your lives together. And the bonus is, your life draws closer to God and each other! Life is precious and every breath comes from God.

I think even if you don’t have a problem you can always strive to be/do better! We were at a point where everything was good, we were both happy, no problems but we got the books husband and wife in pursuit and starting reading through them and trying their suggestions and it took our marriage up a notch! We never want to get to the point where we think we have it all under control and know it all, but instead have a posture of always being willing to learn and grow together to make our marriage the best it can be!
