This was a super fun video! Several of the things you guys talked about were exactly what I found so amazing about my husband. At the end of our first phone call (we met online) he asked if he could pray over us and it blew my socks off! He wears his heart on his sleeve and is never shy about saying how he feels. And the most important character trait was I wanted someone who loved God more than he loved me. I love the book Redeeming Love and happy that the movie is true to the book. I am from Europe and just watched the movie recently. There was apparently so much debate going on in the Christian US about nudity and intimate scenes (it is covered) in the movie, and some youtubers basically telling Christians not to go. I find your positive short review refreshing and at the same time letting people know to be cautious of some scenes. I understand that for some people who are struggling with lust it might not be good idea to watch, but let it be their own conviction. Just my thoughts as a follower of Christ: Age difference is fine as long as you guys are on the same page with when or if you want children. I'd recommend no more than a 10 year age gap because it's better to grow old at a similar rate instead of being alone when one spouse dies much sooner. You also have children who will get teased by other kids or feel embarrassed of a huge age gap relationship between their parents. Interracial couples are absolutely fine but you'll have to accept you'll be stared at much more in public places. Also you'll have to be okay with your children not looking like you. Making sure your core values align. For me I'd want someone who understands the importance of communication, manages money correctly, isn't too materialistic, compliments my personality, has a similar sex drive, wants children and is motivated.

They don’t show her actually doing anything but you know that’s what’s happening. And there is one scene where if you don’t feel comfortable watching it I would say to turn or close your eyes. But theirs no actual nudity. I would say yes as a Christian it’s okay to watch. It shows you a lot about keeping the faith and trusting god 💛
The fact that that movie showed more than needed to and that was just from watching the trailer put me off the entire thing and you confirmed it. It should not matter how nice the story line is, either make a Christian movie that's a safe space to minister to people or don't bother at all. This was a super fun video! Several of the things you guys talked about were exactly what I found so amazing about my husband. At the end of our first phone call (we met online) he asked if he could pray over us and it blew my socks off! He wears his heart on his sleeve and is never shy about saying how he feels. And the most important character trait was I wanted someone who loved God more than he loved me. I knew if he loved God more than me, he would resect and love me, and always follow Christ's lead in our lives. I knew there would be an incredible amount of safety in that. And now we're celebrating our 13th wedding anniversary next month!

I love the book Redeeming Love and happy that the movie is true to the book. I am from Europe and just watched the movie recently. There was apparently so much debate going on in the Christian US about nudity and intimate scenes (it is covered) in the movie, and some youtubers basically telling Christians not to go. I find your positive short review refreshing and at the same time letting people know to be cautious of some scenes. I understand that for some people who are struggling with lust it might not be good idea to watch, but let it be their own conviction. Sometimes US christianity is standing so much for what they are against of and not what they are pro of, that they are turning non-Christians away. So thank you for your positive review! ❤

In my comment, I was praising Sutton's preferences because she prefers the qualities of a masculine man, according to scripture. The world praises the physical qualities of what is masculine or feminine. Using that world's definition then yes, a flat chest and booty are not considered feminine and a short male isn't considered masculine. So you're right, that definition is stupid, but it's not the definition I am using. Being feminine or masculine means something different in the Bible. It's based on character not physical.

Just my thoughts as a follower of Christ:
Age difference is fine as long as you guys are on the same page with when or if you want children. I'd recommend no more than a 10 year age gap because it's better to grow old at a similar rate instead of being alone when one spouse dies much sooner. You also have children who will get teased by other kids or feel embarrassed of a huge age gap relationship between their parents.
Interracial couples are absolutely fine but you'll have to accept you'll be stared at much more in public places. Also you'll have to be okay with your children not looking like you.
Making sure your core values align. For me I'd want someone who understands the importance of communication, manages money correctly, isn't too materialistic, compliments my personality, has a similar sex drive, wants children and is motivated.

I had at least two guys who showed interest in me, but they were 16 years older than me, I got to know them as friends, but I did not feel anything with them or felt God leading me to them. I always thought interracial dating was beautiful. Everyone is unique to me. My youngest niece does not look like her parents and both are white with brown hair and different color eyes, my niece has blond hair and blue eyes, but her hair is slowly turning brown. my husband is a few inches shorter than me. i always invisioned a guy who was taller than me cuz i am tall but God sent me the best guy and he has never been worried about being shorter than me cuz he just loved me for me! been together 14 years and married 8 years. its natural for woman to like a guy taller as we see them as protectors and comforters, luckily my husband fills that for ne regardlesa of our height difference.

@@arbretree5463 personally when I read the book I got really upset at some parts. But when I watched the movie they did take a lot of the graphic parts out and I thought it was done well. They don’t show her actually doing anything but you know that’s what’s happening. And there is one scene where if you don’t feel comfortable watching it I would say to turn or close your eyes. But theirs no actual nudity. I would say yes as a Christian it’s okay to watch. It shows you a lot about keeping the faith and trusting god 💛
The fact that that movie showed more than needed to and that was just from watching the trailer put me off the entire thing and you confirmed it. It should not matter how nice the story line is, either make a Christian movie that's a safe space to minister to people or don't bother at all. Putting all that in there would cause believers to stumble or give them an excuse to think that "it's a Christian movie so it's ok".
I totally agree with you. I don't think it is appropriate whatsoever. The screen is a window and the movie is clearly showing real people doing real ungodly acts.

The book of Hosea is not about a girl sold into sex slavery and rescued out of it but a picture for Israel to see their wilful, repeated, unrepentant rebellion against Him. This movie misses the entire point of what God is saying in this book.
Marietta Van Middelkoop From my understanding neither the movie nor the book was meant to copy the book of Hosea, it’s very clearly said that it’s LOSELY based on the story of the couple in it, they literally say it inspired this story so you shouldn’t be going into it expecting that exact same theme or accuracy considering that’s not what the authors intent ever was.
