    One idea I thought of to avoid the hassle of working hard to scrape the cooked egg off the bottom of the pot and will also save a lot of time, is scramble the eggs in a microwave safe bowl, mug, or a paper bowl.
    Grease the bowl with olive oil or whichever oil you prefer, crack eggs, stir till blended, heat in microwave on high for 30 seconds, take out and stir again, cook on high 20 seconds, repeat another 20 seconds if they’re not quite done yet.
    This method will be especially helpful to those with arthritis or weakness from health issues.

    i have long grain brown rice, would it still be the same cook time?

    • @TheForeignFork
      @TheForeignFork  3 года назад

      Yes, you can! If you’d like to use brown rice, simply sub out the white rice for brown rice. Keep the amount of chicken broth in the pressure cooker the same.
      Brown rice is tougher than white rice, though, which means it needs to cook longer in order to soften. You should cook your brown rice for 20 minutes in order to achieve the desired texture.
      In this case, I would recommend cooking your meat separately and adding it into the Instant Pot at the end, with the veggies and egg. You don’t want to overcook your chicken by cooking it for 20 minutes.

    When you naturally release the rice, do you turn off the instant pot and then wait the extra 6 minutes? then release? Sorry lol

    • @TheForeignFork
      @TheForeignFork  2 года назад

      I don't turn it off! I just allow the pot to count down for 6 minutes and then release when the 6 minutes is done. Then I turn the pot off after :)

    Add a large metal clip or clothespin to the top of the pan so it will not spin while stirring...!!!

    Maybe add veg oil to screaming hot pot first then scramble eggs & add them to the oil.

      I like to rinse the rice. Remove the starch and prevent clumpy rice.

    I literally followed exact directions and rice burned.. Tried saving it with no luck.. What did I do wrong!??

    • @TheForeignFork
      @TheForeignFork  3 года назад

      Sorry to hear that Joshua!! Did you get up all of the egg off of the bottom of the instant pot? That normally is what causes a burn notice... another factor could be altitude? If you want to try again but are worried about getting the burn notice again you can add a bit more chicken broth!

      I had the same issue. All the egg was scraped off too and I followed the directions 100%.

    "This recipe will take you a max of 12 minutes to make"
    "Marinate your chicken for at least an hour"
    🤨

    • @TheForeignFork
      @TheForeignFork  3 года назад +4

      Haha as a food blogger/recipe developer it's always hard to know whether to include marination time in the recipe timing. General consensus is no, but I can see how that's not ideal!
