Thanks for the informative clip . after Watching your video, I have now just bought a pair of TS-A4670F pioneer speakers and retrosound S-46G speaker grills . My head unit is the pioneer AVH-7200DAB Single din retractable touchscreen. Hopefully the sound will improve now , as I think the original front speakers are shot.
I'm assuming the early cars and the late cars share the same speaker depth issue? I have to replace my front speakers and was looking at the Retro Sound 4x6 speakers due to their lower profile. If those speaker grills work just as good for my 84, I may end up going with those grills and Pioneer speakers!
@@ALEXANDARRR42 I don’t think you’ll regret it at all, I can’t post sound clips for copyright reasons but if I can find a away around it I’ll post the clip I took of my first time listening to all 4 speakers together. The key regardless of the brand is that 4 way speaker trick up front and 2 ways in the back to be better at producing the lower end frequencies
Nice car! A question, I'm planning to install a compact amplifier together with an old blaupunkt radio in my 924S. Do you have an amp installed & do you have any tips on where to put it? (Perhaps possible under the dash?) Thanks!
Currently I don’t have an amp installed, however the head unit that’s installed in the car has a small built in amplifier. Running an amplifier and a small subwoofer or pair of woofers somewhere in the trunk is the next upgrade I have planned, but I’ve got a few other things I need to knock out first. I’ll reply with a link, I put up a forum post about these speakers and grills and got a few good replies about amplifier setups, including some that fit inside the spare wheel well in the trunk. My two recommendations would be either there or in the side cubbies there’s plenty of room back there. Good luck and thanks for watching!
