Hi witty I have had this problem I didn't realise I replaced speakers and now am wondering why my windows didn't work 🤣 if I get these replacement speakers will the original speaker cover still fit as my covers are perfect thanks for your vids and superior knowledge you have helped me so much with my 924 👍
Hey Paul thanks for the comment. Sometimes its trail and error but always good to learn as they say. So in short yes, slimline speakers are the way forward for the front doors. Are you looking to buy a set? 👍
@@Witty924 yes I'm going to order a set tonight, I just wanted to retain the original covers in the doors I was unsure if they would fit or not and if I had to do something like you did as I would like to keep them original if possible
Ok, so mine although slimline have the tweeter set slightly higher than expected so i will mount my speak behind the 4 holding screw bracket already built into the door. That way I can then use the orginal covers. (Which I still need buy) 🤞
@@Witty924 OK I will order some I think and see how I go, I suppose I could always adapt them somehow I just want them to fit the original covers thanks for your Imput Paul.
Hi witty sorry to ask again do you think speakers that fit a mk1 vw golf would work in the 924?
Not sure, the fittings might match but the door width and window internals would need to be looked at. Do you have access to a mk1 golf?
@@Witty924 no just saw a 4 way pioneer 6x4 inch speaker for mk1 golf I think I will go with the one you suggest
