  • This is a SketchUp tutorial for beginners and woodworkers.
In this video I show how to make a hexagon shelf in SketchUp.
My goal is help beginners learn SketchUp. I used the free (web) version of SketchUp, but this will work for SketchUp Pro as well.
    Thanks for watching!

I appreciate that you show the final object in the beginning. Also using Rotate for something other than 90 degrees.

great tutorial. I am making the exact same thing just in the form of a hexagon garden trellis. Perfect pace and good instruction on the commands needed.

Love it, I have been wanting to do this for the longest time, thank you. Pace was good. I have my 1st sketchup drawing. Thank you.

Very nice I probably would have made three pieces and then copied and double all three of them to make six you would only have to fold it three times. another trick is to use the Q function and rotate around a point that is in the center of the object and times five like you did before and it would have rotated one piece around the circle five times and finished everything for you in one move.

I really appreciate this video. I am struggling with sketchup make 2017. Particularly when it comes to angles and fitting pieces together. I am too cheap to buy into new versions. I realize there is a free on line version. I believe it does not have the "outliner" capability. I got something out of your instruction. Tell them what you are going to do. Show them how to do it, then tell them what they just did!
