thanks a lot for sharing such a great jig. In making hexagon lots of wood pieces go to dustbin. Can you suggest anything or plan that can bring wasted pieces in use.
I dislike victorian furniture due to wantage factor of wood.
Came for the hex jig, stayed longer for the dice trays! Love it. Thank you for the guides!
Thank you for watching and the kind words! Highly appreciate that 😁
Dice trays are the exact reason I searched for this video.
How has no body commented on your awesome doggo! Thanks for the great tutorial!
No problem! Not sure on the comments lol. So far my channel doesn't have many comments overall. About to post some new videos soon though!
Please watch a few videos on table saw safety.
Learned a lot for comments already. Working on that! I'm not an expert, but appreciate the feedback
Crosscutting against a fence is not advised. The stock can jam between the blade and the fence with violent result. Using a sled and stop block is accurate and safe.
100%, I am remaking this to revise and add some of those additional safeguards! Highly appreciate the insight.
Nice one!
Thanks a lot, great video!
Of course! Thanks for watching!
Sangat bermanfaat, terima kasih sudah berbagi ilmunya 🙂👍🙏
Thats why I'm here. I want to make dice trays!
Next video is up! Go check it out! Let me know if you have questions!
Amazing and Simple. Thank You!!!
Thank you for your tutorial. By the way, your dog is so cute, love him :)
Appreciate it! Thanks for watching!
The runners should be thinner than the depth of your slot. The way you've done it, the center will "sag" and reduce your accuracy, if they don't pinch your blade causing a kickback.
Also rolled up tape is a crap way to attach, either use double sided tape or allow a few drops of glue (with weight on top) to set before drilling and screwing.
Great notes, I'll be taking that into consideration and likely redoing that
@@gmxdiy8596 One other suggestion: when dropping the plate onto the runners, slide the fence over and use it as a guide to brace against as you tip the plate onto the runners.
I appreciate it! Thanks for the insight.
VERY GOOD !!! ... THANKS !!!
Good jig man. But one side it doesn't look came out right. Did you notice??? In any case I have learned the technique which is wonderful. Thank you for sharing.
I did! Sharp eye. Definitely had a bit of slop in my jig so I actually cleaned it up and works a lot better now. But for the initial purpose it worked for what I needed. Thanks for watching!
that was great!!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed!
The dog is the supervisor
They said it looks a little woof, but they'll accept it
I was actually hoping you were making them as a shelf, but this only helps if I want a back to the shelf
The nice thing is that the jig being used would give you the angles needed to make the shelf parts since they are at the correct angles! May make one specific to that!
@@gmxdiy8596 Very true. I am making them for a cat wall
Becareful kickback can really hurt and only takes a second
Very much so! I need to keep that in mind and should try and plan around it!
I read your dog's mind the entire video. Says, "He cuts four sticks in 30 seconds. He throws none for me to fetch.. He teases me with 2 sticks then hides them from me. Come over to see why these 2 sticks are now sticky. Lie down, not throwing any sticks for me, but I am watching, hoping, waiting patiently. Maybe next time
Buenos días soy de Hidalgo una pregunta de cuanto es lo mas chico que se pueden acer con la guía que nos esta mostrando
Muy practico
Buddy you need to build an outfeed table
Definitely do. Learned a lot since this video! Might remake this one with all the changes I should make
Jeez! Please please please watch some videos on table saw safety you made some pretty serious mistakes in less than the first minute of this video. If you’re making a video on how to do some thing you do have a responsibility to make sure that it’s done safely so as not to perpetuate bad habits and potentially get somebody hurt
Very true, a couple people mentioned that and in future videos that will be the case. Things like kickback, safety pushes and hand placement will be addressed. Thank you for raising the concern
@@gmxdiy8596 you were here to show people how to make a Jig. I would think by now if people are watching your video's they should know how to use a damn table saw. SMDH always someone!
@@shanejohnson6226 exactly.
That’s the first thing I saw. I was cringing
Seems pretty overcomplicated to me
good tutorial spoilt by the irritating music over you voice
Would you prefer just the voice-over with no music?
Yes
@@gmxdiy8596 nah, as long as its low background. Music changing volume a little in between the voices, when it's a fast forward for maybe 15, 20 seconds or more is cool... but it short clips like this video, all one volume is good.
Didn't bother me any. Better editing than most. Gj
Thanks for the comment! Appreciate the input
