30:45... BRO thank you soo much, literally nobody has a tutorial on how to bypass these kind of sunroofs.. THANK YOU SOO MUCH! your a legend in wrapping. avid follower.
This is an old video, but it’s still one of the best out there!!!! This sunroof style is quite rare and this video was just what I needed to learn how to conquer this!!! Thanks a million my dude! Turns out it is extremely satisfying to wrap cars so I get why you do it :D
***** Most vinyl is meant to be applied using dry application. If you wet the vinyl you'll dilute the adhesive which will result in lifting, peeling or bubbling.
Never would have thought that there was an actual business to be had. It's been a ton of work getting here and being open to ideas and possibilities from others
Great job man.. You did some pro work out there.. Im considering of wrapping my whole car together and your tips were extremely helpfull.. I might ask for your help if you are willing too.. Anyways, well done!!
Clean work. Do you have any instructional videos on wrapping top front and tail caps of rvs? Also because the top caps get ruined by the sun what product would you recommend to protect against sun?
Is that rust and bubbling paint under the vinyl above the vinyl lettering "W" in "Twin Lakes" at the front of the roof near the windshield? It looks like more flaws on the drivers side of the Sun roof. If those are body work issues you should explain them so it doesn't look like you left air bubbles or wrinkles.
Okay, I'm late to the party here. Great video. I assume this is for aesthetics. I'm here because my sunroof is leaking and I'm considering just covering it entirely. I'm assuming I could do it using the vinyl. I haven't given up on getting the leak fixed but I don't want to spend a ton just to have the leak start again. This seems aesthetically superior to just taping the sunroof edges. You seem very knowledgeable. Have you encountered the leak problems a bunch? Suggestions? Thanks. New sub.
Would you not require to post heat the inside corners, I'm planning on doing my roof (sunroof slides down and inside the roof) with Vvivid mate orange. I'm worried about the corners rolling up.
Just curious I seen your walk around for the blue vinyl how did you get the fog light holes perfectly covered everytime I do my front bumper I can't get this part so that's the front bumper is currently not wrapped
Hi...i tried to wrap a Jeep, it has some ripples on its roof, but it leaves a lot of bubbles on these ripples specially visible after a day...whats the best way to wrap around such ripples over the roof...thanks
Randal Short we have a shop over in the east end of Scarborough called Streetdreams Autosport. We do a lot of full and partial wraps. Check out my facebook page facebook.com/vinylsolutions
Can I do this if I have the clear coat delamination issue? I would like to paint my car, but I was thinking about wrapping it instead for a cost savings.
I have the 4g black convertible. ... I want some speings to lower the car.... I want them adjustable am in ny and in winter I want the car up and not slamed.. the snow is hell.... thanks
If you have a moonroof that opens into the roof, would it be wise to open the moon roof before putting the vinyl on the roof? I picture this as being easier than leaving it in the closed position but have never done any vinyl work before so I really have no clue!
+mmmfloorpie Definitely open it and you'll be set. Might need to tape down the pop-up air deflector, but everything else should be out of the way just by opening the sunroof. It's the over-the-roof and pop-up only sunroofs that are tricky.
Yikes... doing vinyl out in the open... and *dry*? I guess that works... :) Thing about wrinkles on corners... It's always easier to get a corner smooth and wrinkle-free when you have enough material to pull down. It's always good to "train" vinyl for a little while longer than a few minutes when you're installing the material. Much like you would automotive paint --- you want to make sure it sits and sets properly before you call it done.

Wow. You were just as good a teacher way back in the early days.
The brand of vinyl I used for this is Avery Dennison. I'm going to wrap my car over the winter so I'll try to get some videos of the process
i've seen some people spray the roof and the bottom of the vinyl with soapy water…is that ok or should we do it dry
***** Most vinyl is meant to be applied using dry application. If you wet the vinyl you'll dilute the adhesive which will result in lifting, peeling or bubbling.
Yeah that's what i thought but i've seen a lot of videos where people spray the bottom etc but thanks anyways!
Just recently found your channel.. been watching lots of them.. found this as I'm about to wrap a GS300 roof.. all I can say is "sick flow bud."
Watching your old videos and realizing how far i am from your skills which you have today :) Geo Wrap

You wash is as you would wash the car normally but it is preferred that you don't run it through an automatic car wash

I want to do this to my car as well, I have a Acura legend. Did you have the sunroof open or closed while installing vinyl wrap?
what are you using to clean the hood before using alcohol if anything?
I also have a 4G eclipse and was thinking of getting this done. Do you vinyl wrap for others? I live in the east GTA.
Randal Short we have a shop over in the east end of Scarborough called Streetdreams Autosport. We do a lot of full and partial wraps. Check out my facebook page facebook.com/vinylsolutions
+Vinyl Solutions how much do you charge for the same as this video. carbon fiber roof only 2006 eclipse?
Can I do this if I have the clear coat delamination issue? I would like to paint my car, but I was thinking about wrapping it instead for a cost savings.
sand the problem areas first.
I want to do this for my RSX were do I get the sqeegy tools at?
I have the 4g black convertible. ... I want some speings to lower the car.... I want them adjustable am in ny and in winter I want the car up and not slamed.. the snow is hell.... thanks
How long does this particular vinyl last?
good vid! i had a fail today doing bmw e46 roof :(
that''s why it helps if your car sunroof tucks under the roof panel instead of going on top of it. :P lol
Eh man, where in Canada are you located?
hey bro! where can I purchase this vinyl?? Any links??
How much would you charge someone to do a roof like this if they wanted you to, and wouldn't a hood be about the same?
Is it me or the guy looks like Tom Brady from the side.
+bengaltigerrex Looks more like stiffler.
Looks more like Tosh.O
whats the brand name for that wrap? cheers
Can I wrap roof with the sunroof opened?

what spoiler is that on it?
Where can I purchase the wrap?
my roof edges are so tiny it is quite impossible to fit the vinyl inside the edges, what should i do now
Edgar Tigranyan you'll have to pull out the gaskets and any trim.
What wing is that?
swear to god i hear an ice cream truck from around 18min - 20min
Holy shit I thought that was outside my house lol. I felt like I was going crazy
Thanks you, from Portugal
Your wrapping skills turn me on
How do you wash a car that has vinyl onbit
A final result picture would've been nice.
I was waiting for you to tuck the windshield.. Haha That shit was COMICAL!! This confirms you have no idea what you're doing..
haters gonna hate LOL
Anybody know what wing that is?
I predict great things for you in the future......
Wink wink
Nice!
u know how much wrap u need to do the whole car?
For this car you want 15-16 yards. Most cars take about 16 yards
20m roll will be plenty. Some people do it within 16m-18m
l1ngo I do most with 15-18 yards
Vinyl Solutions how much sq ft cause my local vinyl shop charges by sq ft
Vinyl Solutions my vinyl shop charges 9$ per square ft so anyone who can tell me how much sq ft is in a 16y roll will be an awesome guy
Adam. Its not how you stand by your car. It's how you race your car. You'd better learn that.
2:37 did you srsly just say that? lol
