it was 3am when i fouund this video, watched the whole thing, now i feel like i can wrap 100 cars, but i never wrapped before. This dude is the wrap master !
@@jorislalwhich means 12 hours to do a whole freaking car, that's nuts! I wonder if cleaning and disassembly was included in that time. But even for vinyl install only, that's crazy fast.
I have been wrapping for over 20 years and I must say your info is correct and well presented . those different door cuts do come in handy , sometimes you have one big copy/printed piece with a design for the side and you cant simply cut away the extra as there is no extra to cut away . all the material is used , so the first cut you showed is what I go with , or I will do a careful bridge-cut , then tuck both edges . it is the fastest way . also , I see a lot of heat guns in vids , you can save a lot more time if you get good with a propane torch . :-)
Great video. I think the strip on the inside is an excellent idea. It’s a technic i use making metal car parts also. I think installing the strips inside first would be better then the way u you demonstrated it because the lip of the material is exposed edge If the small strip is applied inside first when you wrap the outside it will come in and lap over the strip make a better look and seal
I know im asking randomly but does any of you know of a way to get back into an Instagram account..? I was dumb forgot the password. I would love any assistance you can give me
@Davis Lyric thanks for your reply. I got to the site thru google and Im in the hacking process now. Seems to take a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Man I could really use the wheel knife, the dual xacto thing, mold n hold, and I am going to start using more knifeless tape to help speed up the process.

Awesome show mate. I’m a carpenter by trade but looking at wrap and the possibility of learning it for a side job I totally agreed with doing a really excellent job at great speed. Yes I could see my tool belt being full. Could you possibly help me to recommend a company or course to do in Australia that will teach me the right techniques and quality. With my trade I learn how to do things right first which is slower do working on speed which in turn gives such a high quality of work but as fast if not faster then others and the jobs done once no coming down and fixing ruff work. Any suggestions to move into this style of career? Awesome
Danny Tonnessen I know im 2 months late but I started with fenders. Hard at first but I moved some steps back and did interior pieces. Much smaller and typically curvy so you can get an idea on how some techniques will work
I just bought a Bmw Z3 and am going to wrap it myself for first time. The hood is wider and longer than 60". Whats to be done? I do not want to follow the hoods contour lines as the entire front of hood looks like an Alien head when done black and I want that look. Following contour would leave the hood half black and half white (my other color) and I don't want that. I was thinking maybe I have to do it in three parts. Center and left and right at contours with an inlay or outlay or whatever its called when put on a flat surface (for the most part) I really don't want to see a line of separation though.
I've been interested in doing "camouflage" vinyl on an Off-road vehicle. The question is this.... How do you wrap an off road bumper to include the metal roll bars that hold light bars, off road lights, etc. to where it look like the bumper was painted?
graphikptz that's what I've been doing and never had a problem. Sometimes it seems like they try to sell you on their tools and products to make money ha
You can, but this is for accuracy and speed. The name of the game is doing a job in the shortest possible time while maintaining the integrity of the work. Yea, they may want to push some product as well but Justin Pate is a very solid dude to listen to.

Glass will most definitely scratch, I’ve been tinting windows for over 6 years now and regardless what kind of blade you use, there will always be a chance of scratching the glass
@@phillipfaggart8371 Ever so true. Older auto glass was quite a bit harder where the modern stuff is softer and DOES scratch... And quite a bit easier I may add.
you focus reducing time, so dont wrap and time reduced to zero . i prefer to spend long time and having more material at the edges. i dont like your technique.

Just a quick question if I can apply another vinyl on top of the first vinyl?

Do i need to use heat around the edges?
I can’t wrap I have to piece it on
hello please answer me if we can do the coverings outside?
I really love to start d wrapping here in Nigeria but I don't know how I can get all those stuffs. Anyone can help pls.

Where do I find that triline tape?
I had no idea the Haddonfield slasher was in to vinyl wrapping.
Do you offer 1 to 1 training?
tell me where you can buy a tool for vinyl, and most importantly a knife for cutting with a roller

Does anyone have any recommendations on how to best start learning the techniques and what smaller non car items you would start with? Thanks 👍

plates and dishes make good beginner practice items
I need to wrap a fuse box cover...I'd love to figure out how to do it myself.
What brand of clear vinyl do you use and recommend?
What is the "empty side" and the "solid side"?

Where can find the roller cutter ?
Did you ever find out? I need that cutter 😂

plan out your cuts and put design line on a side of the bar that is less visible. creating a butt seam.
What material do you use for these demonstrations?

Two great tools are the rotary cutter and the dual cutter but who would ship these to the uk?!?
Look at the www.yellotools.com for the distributors list.

The adhesive on the back of the vinyl wrap is a lot stronger than you think
hi what is the exact name roll cutter that you use

can it be used to cover chips?
Sumeet Saini A Wrap would settle into the Chip, and you would see a depression where the material pushed into the chipped Paint.
How does one get into this line of work?
I just had my first day yesterday in the industry, by just sending emails expressing interest to different shops
Can you recommend a place in Southern California that does quality wrapping please?

why you cant just open the hood and cut film on the fender with 1-2-3cm gap?

I don't understand why a big sticker is better than paint for a color change.
cheaper, easier to reverse (you just pull it off), you can print entire designs instead of custom paint it
