To many wrap police in the comments, this guy clearly lives and breathes this art of wrapping vehicles. He obviously knows what hes doing down to a fine science.
CK, I have been following your instructions and your hands. You have a natural talent for this work. I used to think this was easy work But I have a new appreciation for this art form after wrapping my crash bar cover and support rods also the lower cooler core support and splitter in 3m Carbon fiber wrap. No small under taking for a novice. But the Camaro looks great thanks to your advice. Keep it up and do not let the critical people affect the good work Sir. Thanks again.
Your videos are excellent. consider doing one on the Mini Cooper sunroof as there is a definite need for one, so many people have the decal/cover for their sunroof and the vids at least as of today are lacking detail.
Ck you are awesome. Why dont you sit your heat gun on a cart like the one in the background. You wont have to drop the heatgun or bend down as far to pick it up.
CK, what's the difference between the wrap you used in this video and VViViD XPO Black Carbon Fiber Car Wrap sold on Amazon? The link you provide doesn't seem to ever be in stock and the pictures shown are of the glossy version.
Vvivid film is really challenging to work with. It takes practice and patience to use their films unlike avery and other vinyl. But if your skilled wrapper it shouldn't be a problem. Quality is very high compare to other top and expensive brands.
Question here buddy i watch a lot of your videos and tell people about them and to watch them. I wrapped my old car 2016 veloster rally edition i wrapped it plum explosion. But not i got a new car and i have a Quick question how would I do my 22 genesis g70 roof the sunroof comes out the Top of the car covering the back half of the roof
After removing the wrap on my roof I noticed yellow (almost neon yellow) and pinkish spots in the middle of the roof where the wrap had faded and was starting to bake. (bought the car like this. Been restoring her for 8 months now) Any idea what those spots could be? My guess would be that the yellow is adhesive. But isopropyl aint doing shiit. The surface is as smooth as the top of my grandfather's head, where once his perfect blonde hair grew. Everyone called him "tv-hair". Anywho, surface smooth, me just wrap roof in gloss black again I guess. Or I might actually just paint the roof. It's a value thing, because my fear is that the paint is actually damaged. So a respray would make more sense. Otherwise I am just covering up damaged paint. (Which you have to let a potential buyer know to prevent potential legal issues, at least where I live.)
Robert Erpelding it's a cotton glove that allows you to basically squeegee with your hand versus a squeegee. This allows you to work the material and attack recessed areas.
This video is old but i just wanted to touch on what you should about 3m in cold temperatures. Don't do it. I tried wrapping with 3m on my car in about 55 degree weather and the vinyl just shatters when you try to reposition it. At first I just thought I had a bad technique but that wasn't the case. Do it in a shop thats room temperature like 70-75 degrees. It will save you money and alot of stress.
Yeah I used to work with a couple guys always trying to lay vinyl's and decals in the cold and tey tore them constantly. Unfortunately they were specific designs so they'd always have to reorder them. It was bad hahaha good for me in the end though!
Bruh tell me why that just happened to me today 🥲 . I was gonna start doing the trunk on a infinity and once I lifted it up….done😭 ripped up like a piece of paper. It shattered me as well I thought I fucked up blamed myself but then I remember that day was cold temperature in the gargle was around 60-65
hey dude, do you ever do vans! or jeeps roof with a rack... ole momma bear just wants to pimp out here van...lol Never seem to find a video on wrapping vans, especially with 2 side racks on top... not sure HOW THE HECK I AM GOING TO GET on top enough to smooth it out or handle around the 4 molding bumps on roof! hehehe. could watch him wrap cars all day. have learned so much.. (someone go have him wrap your van!)
Word of advice, vvivid on something challenging as the roof will be difficult. Did mine today and the vvivid + premium is incredibly tacky. More than xpo. I have at least 2 stretch marks having to yank up on every slightest wrinkle that wouldn't heat out. I tried that cleaner/decal application fluid rapid tac also but really that just makes the glue not stick, so you'll have to use sparingly. Took at least 3 hours inch by inch laying it down evenly across. Did the hood yesterday same material not much issue. Search the avery black gloss (first time trainee job) here...he put it down in 30 minutes. Will be buying that next time for roof. Edit: finished in 2 tone broke into 3 parts, carbon fiber on each side and red stripe across. This time used rapid tac sparingly in center which will allow you to adjust and squeegee wrinkles easier on vvivid+ premium. It will dry but keep away from cut tape or it will pull that up making the job much harder, having to start over.
just watched a video with a guy teaching a woman how to wrap her roof, he folded the vinyl back on the roof about 2 ft then had her cut the paper backing across the middle of the roof, ;0 then fold the vinyl down and stuck it around the antenna
I am redoing a PT Cruiser and want to do the bumpers, side windows and wheels all in gold. I looked on amazon and the reviews are not so good for this. I am painting the car in Emerald City Green Candy color, I might as well get some cans of gold spray paint rather than mess with this stuff. I however want to use a wood grain print on vinyl for the inside. I just hope by the spaces being smaller inside other than the dash being the largest part, they are easier to work with.
i would rather buy a avery or 3m and get it done in 20min...honestly 3m, avery, vvivid, hexis all carbon is slightly different but once its on, people dont care. christian your time worth over six figure...go for a wiser way
The biggiest difference is yes the vvivid looks better yes vvivid cost less BUT the quality is terrible this same vvivid carbon sat on my car for 3 months and is seperating from the adhesive and peeling up. Smh..ck skills are without a doubt great.but promoting this low quality brand has got to stop
When is the last time you used it? I did a jeep in chrome rose gold and it turned silver, chrome, yellow and gold all in 4 months from the sun they said they had issues with the uv protection. I used hologram the material had roll impressions in the last 5 feet of material.used satin chrome tiffanys blue material is separating which theyre trying to say are air bubbles from install (not true) and now the EXACT carbon he is usual is peeling up and part from the glue on my personal car.i love there prices is colors but im really starting to believe they just by cheap material then have there name printed on it and resale.never had these problems with 3m or avery.i love this guys work but i feel like he has to know VIVID material has tons of flaws
Yfz450r i hope so too i wouldnt want to see anybody waste labor one bad film..i wish i could post a pic. But again maybe its bad batch.ive just had too many problems for numerous vvivid materials
I have to agree ... vvivid in my opinion is just a slightly better version of eBay off brands.. way too tacky and sticks to fast, air release is trash and it tends to lift way too easily. I feel like He gives them way more credit than they deserve.
luis perez I don’t know he shows both, says they are both good and that it’s personal preference. Every person is going to have their own bias with what they work with and you can’t really fault him for promoting what he works with and finds better. Just like there are people out there who will promote 3M over everything else. Just my thoughts on it.

Nice job.have you ever done a motorcycle?I want to wrap my Harley .
c est un pro vous êtes le seul qui met du collant autour de l auto pour évite de griffé le capot quand vous couper bravo very good

Took me over 3 hours today and at least 8 stretch marks. Never again.. ill try avery next time
exactly the video I was looking for
I've had bad experiences with vivid I will only work with avery 3m and hexis
so, where's your channel?

Is that some kind of special glove you're using?

My roof has an antenna which makes it a bit harder, but I just might do it..
FinnishArmy you could remove it x
Where can I get a window tool like that?
So I'm confused which is the Best Vinyl to use? I would like to wrap the hood on my "White Toyota Camry"
Avery
That’s dope asf I have a genesis too🤚
What is the different between 3d and 7d carbon gloss fiber wrap
just watched a video with a guy teaching a woman how to wrap her roof, he folded the vinyl back on the roof about 2 ft then had her cut the paper backing across the middle of the roof, ;0 then fold the vinyl down and stuck it around the antenna
Whats the cost on something like that.. a roof wrap ?
How is the wrap holding up today?
What type of car is that? Looks great
It's a Hyundai Genesis

feel like it would be easier with regular vinyl wrap
you be using that blade like a surgeon of death
Freakin hate working with Vvivid man. Great job though
On Camera, the 3M is a bit Blacker (if that is a word)
Couldn't you also glass each side back and forth until your ready to apply. You usually do that's why I'm asking
Im short like 3 inches for my roof! Its wraptech carbon fibre could i heat stretch it abit. Ik it would be risky but would it shrink back
This guy needs the color piano black
Super :)

It can do easily than that
Looks good but smoke grayish
setting up the camera was harder than the wrap

Badly done!
Why dont u reply to questions? If u teaching its obvious it will have SENSIBLE questions. So y not answer?
He's a busy guy but I learned if you ask personal question/statement he'll answer quickly 😂
if you were using a decent material instead of vvivid you wouldn't even have to use heat gun to lay down a freaking roof.... smh...
Why do you work alone? I think with one more person you will be a lot faster
He's from the trenches
For the love of god stop touching the camera
Trash wrap smh
