I run several of my cameras at the recording of 120 rather then the 20 or 60s. I do use solar panels so the battery stays fine, even on cloudy days. There is an additional setting to end recording early if motion stops that you can adjust.
I was looking for an outdoor camera to keep an eye on my dogs in the yard when I'm not home. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxOXxsTZ3ptV_Pk0fFl8bNZvVqeoqBQFwe Tried a different one that was absolutely terrible, so I got these instead. They work perfectly! With 3 of these cameras I can see every corner of the yard, and they were very easy to set up. The best part is I only get the footage I want to see, not hours of videos of the bird feeder swaying in the breeze.
Excellent video and first time I hear someone adressing the issue of low bitrate head-on, it seems to be the same compromise across the board (had same bitrate problems with my Arlo Pro 3 system)
I've had the camera about six months and I'm happy with it. It was easy to set up and my nephew installed it on my house for me. My only complaint is about the sound quality which is awful - I've seen this complaint on a lot of reviews - sounds like it's underwater. Now that the one camera that gets the most use needs to be recharged I've looked at their solar panel. But I've read that it doesn't work below 35 degrees so living in Kentucky where we can get temps below that in the winter I might hold off until the panel has been out for awhile.
I have ten eufy cameras and bought generic solar panels. Our Temps have been an average in daytime from below 30f to 45. We have had no problem with the cameras charging. With this many cameras it is well worth not having to take them down in the cold weather. Some days the charging is low but even on gray days, which we mostly have, there is still enough charging to keep the cameras running.
Great review, thank you. 2 questions I hope you can assist with: 1. I’ve read that nighttime disables the ‘Human’ detection and instead reverts to ‘Detect everything’ - is this the case? I’m concerned that my dog and local possums would set it off all over the place!? 2: The Eufy HomeBase 3 has just been released and I know you can use it with previous Gen cameras, but, will it still support HomeKit Secure video? Thanks again, great stuff!
Another downfall you didn't mention and i found to my own cost in purchasing these is the AI does not work at night so annoying cats, fox's etc pinged my phone all night and won't fix as it will kill the battery life. I am hoping there new wired Solo OutdoorCam C24 2k version will be a better solution plus it has the spotlight to give color night time footage
Hello I have a eufy doorbell and that connects to the chime via Bluetooth, does this connect via WiFi or Bluetooth, the reason I ask is because the previous doorbell I had worked via WiFi and signal was always poor
Nice video. Very detailed and informative. I just ordered the 2c pro pair, because compared to Arlo, the subscription was a killer along with nest cams. I know about the cons you mentioned. May I ask you how did you configure them to operate with your Apple products? We’re they just using the app or something else. I read they are compatible with an echo product for viewing.
Thank you! Unfortunately, I don’t remember how I did it specifically, but I can guarantee you that the app will walk you right through the steps necessary to link them to any of your services!
Hi Carson, Thanks for making and sharing this video, I notice that you use a specific tripod for your camera during this recording. Do you mind sharing which tripod it is? I'm trying to get one similar. Thanks very much.
Just so happens I made a video about the tripod 5 years ago, and it’s still been holding up fantastic! Check it out here: The GREATEST Budget RUclips Filming Tripod of 2017!! || Magnus VT-300 ruclips.net/video/M_EJUY8lp1I/видео.html
Recently my old (83) had someone show her how to jam my driveway camera. I live in a duplex secrets the other 1/2. Not a good camera if this can be done!
Yesss if u can afford it. Better specs. I got the 2c pro set. I use one for my bedroom the other outside. Cant use indoor cam for outside if you decide to change it up later so it's better to get outdoors for indoor use
I started with the 2c cameras, then brought a 2cpro. I found such little difference in them that all the rest I have bought are just 2c, well then the wireless doorbell camera. Just had to go count them, 1x2c-pro, I0 2c, I doorbell cam. I keep forgetting that the latest camera isn't setup yet, been freezing and who wants to work in that.
Great review! I know on older reviews, it was not possible, however does the light turn on upon detection now or is that still not a thing and you have to do it manually?
16GB is so stupid, even any phone blows that out of the water, why gimp it, that box is huge you could fit a full size hard drive in there, let alone an 1TB M.2 would be easy... Wish the storage could be upgraded

If there is ac power outlet nearby can the camera be powered via a USB power adapter and cable instead of solar?

Man this is the best video ever! Carson is incredible!
Thanks Caleb! You seem like a good person yourself I must say
Make sure you get UV protected ZipTies...or they will be done within a year at least in AZ :D
Haha thanks man! Fortunately though, that install on the tree branch was merely temporary for this video 😂
I know it has been awhile but could you tell me how long it takes from the motion detection until it gives you a notification on your phone?

Great video dude, thanks for the info
Thanks for this video. We’re looking at getting a couple of these. 🤙🏻
Nice review! So the cameras connects only on the home base and not on the existing access points. That means loss of signal...
What an amazing review, you literally covered all my questions
Thanks
Do you think the bitrate would be similar on 1080p?
Hello I have a eufy doorbell and that connects to the chime via Bluetooth, does this connect via WiFi or Bluetooth, the reason I ask is because the previous doorbell I had worked via WiFi and signal was always poor
Excellent analysis and review !
The the eufy solar 4k has a reset button the camera that wipes out all memory. Does this camera have that button too?

@@carsonmtech thanks very much. In you honest opinion do u still recommend the eufy 2c pro over arli and/ or any other brands?
I know it has been awhile but could you tell me how long it takes from the motion detection until it gives you a notification on your phone?
Can you view live from away from home? And how to put constant power so there is no need to recharge
Can you set it so it doesn't record yourself, mine records me every time i go out the door and you get tired of it, cheers.
Merci pour la vidéo! Il y a un seul câble et pas de chargeur pour les caméras ??????????????
Can the live video access from anywhere around the world? I mean remotely access the live video?
My eufy 2k won’t detect vehicles
I have turned off human
Any thoughts
Can these cameras be linked to more than one smart system, such as to work in both HomeKit AND Amazon/Echo in your home?

Does it has video looping option? If not where does the videos goes after 16 gb storage is full?

What if you have a Verizon Orbic Speed as a hotspot?
Is homebase wall-mountable? Thank you inadvance.
Can we adjust alarm duration? Thank you in advance.
Hi would you recommend using this as an indoors cam ( I want a wireless indoors camera)?

Do I need to use the bridge/homebase off I use these in HomeKit?
I am so lost after watching this video... i don't know which one to buy... 2C or 2C pro

The battery life is terrible, it never gets close to the 6 months expected.
Arlo sucks more. I just switched from Arlo garbage!
Do they have app for Mac?
Great review! I know on older reviews, it was not possible, however does the light turn on upon detection now or is that still not a thing and you have to do it manually?
Yep, turns on automatically!
Well done! Thank you.

Time Lapse the battery over 6 months and I’ll believe it…
How long does it run in a Chicago winter?
With all the murders does it really matter, you’ll probably be dead before the next charge
@@sicxdgixxd6326 at least you have a video of the assailant breaking into your home.
180days battery life , i bet thats with zero recording
