I just rode the Rocky Top Mountain Coaster yesterday for the first time and it was outstanding. My wife and I each bought one of the photos they take of you in various places along the way down. They were expensive, but so is everything else in this area. That being said, the coaster is well worth the $18 they charge to ride, but everywhere you look in this town you'll find a rack full of coupons and discount booklets where you are sure to find a coupon you can use here (we got $3 off each ticket $18-$3=$15) and if you want to go again it's only half the price at $9. They claim that it is the longest Mountain coaster in the USA. I dunno about that, but I will say that it was badass!!!!
It is a great place to stop !! Definitely one I recommend. Ober has so many things and just to get there you ride a gondola to the top and it is beautiful!!
This, looked like it was a lot of fun, and I like that it was safe, with a lot of safety features, even some safety feature with Corona :-), great video
This was so much fun!!!!! I love a good coaster and this one was really different than others!! Not to mention the views.... the camera only shows a portion of those
The people who left dislikes on this video must not understand what fun is! We love all of the mountain coasters here in the Smoky Mountain area. They are great family activities and a little less crowded than the go-carts they have at the strip attractions. Next to Dollywood the best thing to do for fun! Ober Gatlinburg is a personal favorite of the family because they do have so many things to do while you are there. The slide, coaster and ice bumper cars are great. Bummer it looks like you were here when they weren't doing the tube sliding.
I agree!! Wonderful way to see the area and have fun without having quite as many people right packed on top of you. It makes it fun but also allows you to have your own personal experience!!
What a bright personality and sense of adventure always on your videos. While I do not think this is something I could do I would be interested in learning more about the Oktoberfest.
I didn't make it to Anakeesta so we would have to do a full comparison.. I know both have a mountain coaster, Anakeestas is a single rail vs this one which is a double rail... Ober has a Mountain slide which is very different and offers indoor activities such as ice bumper cars and ice skating. Anakeesta and Ober both have restaurants. Anakeesta has a zip line and the tree top walk. Ober has a skylift to a specific overlook point. There are several other differences including an animal rescue.
@@BunnyPlaysHere Well you will have to visit Anakeesta and we will look forward to your video in the future on your next visit. Would be wonderful to see how you interpret the area into video. My wife was very pleased with the trip there because of the gardens and she really enjoyed the tree walk.
This looks like a fun way to see the mountains. I know you have said before that you really enjoy these. What makes them more appealing than typical coasters to you?
@@RobbZipp the stabilizer on the go pro really was the saving grace for this the ride as it’s kinda bumpy you could film on the phone strapped up but it might appear more bumpy
It isn't a theme park it is an attraction, they have the coaster and an alpine slide as their larger style rides but they also have a lift to a scenic overlook which is amazing, a panel maze, smaller rides for the kiddos and some water slides for summer, indoor ice skating and ice bumper cars, lots of shopping, an old style arcade and a wildlife sanctuary.. then during winter they have skiing and snow tubing
Your description of this place makes it sound like a great place to visit. Since they have so many things there how long would you suggest putting aside for a visit? And when does their ski season begin, I assume that would mean attractions like this are not open.
I spent several hours here doing all of the different activities. During ski season they do have some attractions which close but others open so it offsets... I do not know for sure when their first snow which allows for skiing happens.
@@BunnyPlaysHere nect time in Branson do the Runaway Coaster at night. I think it's pretty awesome. Goats on the roof one is pretty intense. My son thinks the Smokey Mountain Coaster is the best. So many choices lol
@@BunnyPlaysHere Yeah i saw that. You did the coaster on the strip. That one is actually pretty lame because it switches tracks. The Runaway is off the strip about a mile.
@@BunnyPlaysHere How wonderful! Thank you for sharing. I would love to get out and take a nice lengthy trip when everything calms down a bit. Til then I will just take more subtle travels.
Loved this video. Super great. Would most definitely love to ride this coaster.
That place is always somewhere we go for Christmas
I am jealous I can only imagine at Christmas is is beautiful!!!
Ms Bunny is like the Energizer Bunny always going somewhere
lol.... I am always on the go it seems but I actually do take time away from travel and am home also to work on editing and such.
@@BunnyPlaysHere Makes sense especially with Covid right now I assume you would have had to stopped for a while.

Those are great memories! Every so often I find a photo at a place that I do purchase as well. Sometimes you just have to commemorate moment
Seems like a cool ride
It is one of our families favorites. That and the Goats On The Roof Coaster.
I really enjoyed it... I am a mountain coaster kinda girl these days!!
I thought about trying that one too
Much different than the slide you shared. I think my kids would enjoy both. I am going to look into this location for summer vacation ideas.

Thank you!!! I am flattered so much by the compliment!!! I do have a future video about Ober as a whole and also the Oktoberfest!!!
This looks like fun!
It really was!! if you are ever near a mountain coaster you should do it!!!
Looks super cool!!!
Really fun coaster!! I have ridden a few now and this one had the best view so far!!
Really enjoy the videos you do with the rides.
Glad to hear it!
Found the first thing we missed, we went to Anakeesta but didn't manage to catch this one on our visit. How would you compare the two?

Another cool coaster. I am going to have to find one of these soon I have seen all of yours and now I really want to try one.

I like that they are not as jerky as typical coasters, not to mention you are riding solo which makes it a unique experience.

Sooo much fun!!!
@@BunnyPlaysHere Maybe I'll have my own adventures there, some day! Do you like your GoPro? Would a strap with my phone be just as good?

Can 2 adults go on the same riding car?
I don’t believe they will allow two adults. There is a weight limit which typically would put 2 Adults Weighing too much.

Do you buy tickets same day or in advance ??
Same day
How many of these have you tried? Are they all different or do they feel the same?
3 different ones now
