I’m so glad someone finally filmed that mountain coaster. I have always wondered what it was like. I figured it had amazing view’s, but not sure if I can handle that.
Quiet a bit has changed since ive been. This coaster looked a lot rougher than Anakeesta! The concrete carts used to scare me as a kid. Nice to see whats going on. Thanks!
@@SmokiesPlus when I was a kid there was a staged, wrecked cart in the middle with arms and legs sticking out from under it. They told us not to go wide open or we'd crash. My uncles went wide open and were fine. I was worried about faceplanting under my cart! Later on I went wide open and it is a blast!
Your woo’s were awesome! I have never been up there. Looked like fun. Alex is looking so grown up!! I was worried you were going to drop your phone on the coaster. It looked really really rough.
Thanks for taking us up Ober Mountain Bob and Alex! I have to say that honestly we don't really do anything when we are up there so the unlimited wrist band wouldn't work well for us. I think that's part of the reason we haven't been back in a while. I know some people love it, and I think it's cool, but it's just not for us. It's awesome they are updating things because that place was in need of a little love. Anyway, great video guys! ✌❤
We were up there last year when it was $10.00 to park. This year it is $20.00 to park.. Nope. They had no $49.00 wrist bands last year. We shopped inside but won't do that again since my debit card number was compromised at a shop there. The restaurant had great food. Prices was great. The whole place was very clean.
Most are pretty smooth. Outside of Ober and Rail Runner you won't have a bad experience. Based on what you're describing, Rocky Top would probably be best... but if you want more thrill I'd suggest the Smoky Mountain Alpine Coaster or Coaster at Goats on a Roof.
Hey Bob we enjoyed this video. We didn't realize all the Stuff they added since the last time We went in 03.😄 We will have to check it out when we go back on our regular august trip. We will be there in December to do Christmas in the smokies for the first time but it will probably be to cold for that adventure. Oh by the way tell Eric we are going to try River House at the park😗God Bless and Take Care😇
If you are talking about the River House Eric already remarked on how you feel about panel walls LOL😁He also said the free donuts are really good so that might help with the panelling.😃😃😃Now as far as what Eric said you have to take that up with him. don't worry he's a good guy😉Talk to you later if we don't pass on Anakeesta chair lift again...😇@@SmokiesPlus
sorry about the confusion Bob i was on the business computer 😄we own the bait shop of alexandria we don't normally reply to post on that computer. Just a lot going on trying to prep for our december trip up there. Again sorry for the mix up@@CPTRAVELSANDMORE
In the middle of the bottom station mall, there was a miniature diorama of the mountain and tramway which I saw wasn’t there anymore. Anyone know what happened to it?
Beautiful Bob !!!

Views were decent, but boy was it ROUGH
Thanks for another lovely video
Great video thanks so much for sharing
I noticed you didn't do the alpine slide. I remember that one being fun when I was a kid.
I was with my son and he didn't want to do it. I didn't want to leave him alone. It's certainly a throwback!

I have never tried the concrete one. Not sure I ever will lol

It was so rough! Alex has grown so much since the beginning of the channel!
Thanks for the video. Did they close the Season’s Restaurant that they renovated last winter? I noticed it’s no longer on their website.
I'm not sure. I didn't check that area.

Yeah, I don't love that they made it one price

Thats terrible. So sorry to hear that. $20 to park seems crazy to me
Good video your son Alex has grown up keep up the videos
Going to Gatlinburg for the first time next month. In your opinion, which is the nicest, smoothest, best mountain coaster for a couple in their 50s?

@Bait-Shop-Of-Alexandria yeah, I overcame the paneling in a few hotels I reviewed so I think the promise of doughnuts will help
RIP Bob's phone 😆That made me chuckle.
😁
I'm sorry but that ride was hilarious 😂
😆

I don't. I specifically looked for it this go round. I wonder if they're fixing it up to bring it back?
Looks like there making some improvements that water slide thing needed to be gone
Agreed
Love it Bob and Alex! ❤ Thanks!
Can you still drive up to where all the shops are?
There's still paid parking at the top that you can drive to
@@SmokiesPlus thanks
After you ride down how do you get back up where you started ???
Which part? The big gondola? You take it back to the bottom
@@SmokiesPlus after you ride the coaster how do you get back up
@@lindarose8768 ah. It just takes you back near the start
The refresh of Ober is looking very nice
Sacreligious to rename it
This place is a rip off.
