I once was arguing with a boyfriend and was scared we would split up. I had gone to my girlfriends place and she said “ do what I did with an ex” she said she punched herself and made it look like she was abused and charged her boyfriend at the time with abuse. I was completely shocked and couldn’t believe my Ex friend now (after hearing that) told me this. So saying that there are women that lie and make up stories and this case gives me the same feeling that it was all made up. So woman like Amber shouldn’t speak for other women who really have been victims of abuse.

She is in essence saying that any woman who comes forward with an accusation of domestic violence should always be believed even if they do not have any proof.

The reality is, that regardless of gender, this was a win for true victims of abuse. Johnny was abused by Amber, and he was believed, he didn’t have perfect evidence either, but he was believed by the jury, and the world.

Here is a bad story for you...my ex filed false DV one of hundreds that did so in my county. 3 months later a women in my organization was killed in a murder/suicide by her husband that also worked in my organization probably due to courts being tied up. You want this to stop, as a woman, YOU need to organize other women like you and start protesting & demand change...but I never see that and doubt I ever will, so men are walking away from relationships

I feel like Elaine is being very careful to not outright lie and still defend AH. Like, Elaine never says that yes, she was surprised by the verdict - probably because she wasn’t. She evades answering and then spins the question.
She said that “evidence was suppressed” which I guess is technically true; evidence was kept out (just maybe not stuff that might actually effect the outcome).
I gave Elaine the benefit of the doubt that maybe she had a tough case with a difficult client, but I have lost all sympathy for her after this.
Is what Elaine doing illegal? I doubt it. Is what Elaine doing immoral? I’d say yes.

I studied journalism and this is a terrible interview. He could sue for defamation over this interview. Also, the UK’s media is known for being some of the nastiest media outlets so I wouldn’t put much merit in the trial over there. Additionally, accusing the jury of viewing social media posts during the trial is a huge accusation that shouldn’t be made lightly.
As a 53-year-old woman who was in a domestically violent relationship for over 10 years …you do not speak for all women. This is not a setback for women! This is a victory that abuse knows no gender! On her video recordings alone with how she talked to him a woman who was abused would never speak that way to her abuser! You are in fear and constantly appeasing your abuser trying to keep things as calm and quiet as possible! When i heard her voice, tone and cruelty on the audios i had to stop and take a moment because she reminded me so much of my own past abuser…. It was frighteningly similar. When you know you know. I‘m wondering if EH ever realized all the arguments she's doing can also be used by Johnny for the UK case:
1. It is a setback for victims suffered from defamation but couldn't get fair treatment.
2. A pile of evidence was suppressed in UK case due to the lies AH told in her testimony there, which were caught in US case.
3. JD was demonized by AH and her team. Op-ed that AH admitted in US court, wrote by herself to against JD; Skeptical injuries which proved with no grounding evidence (Savannah asked question related to this here but EH didn't answer and shifted to other direction); Video that proved by ex-staff from TMZ on receiving directly from the source.etc

Well Elaine actually did a pretty bad job, especially on cross with some of the witnesses. Most remarkably was when she tried to frame Dr. Curry who was an expert witness because after working 3-4 hours with JDs legal team at least one of the people there had a drink. She kept asking "Is it true that you went over to Mister Depps house to have drinks with him"...
Uh Elaine, she went to the house because JD couldn't move that easily given the celebrity status and after working multiple hourse they probably had a glass of wine before she left, don't you think that's a bit different"..
It went to show how she thinks about the Jury too, how she intended to trick them with dishonest "yes or no" questions to create a false narrative for the Jury. The Jury saw that, because they weren't stupid and couldn't get tricked like the UK judge.
And before someone says that "yes or no" questions aren't bad, I agree with that, but this wasn't to get a witness who tried to chicken out of answering to give a proper answer like we saw it with AH when she kept saying "I pledged all of it" when asked weather or not she donated the money she said she would donated from the divorce settlement..
Everyone watching the trial was easily able to see who was telling the truth. There was a single person to cry on the stand and he said what Amber was writing were despicable lies. Telling enough.

This is very upsetting to me. I'm a true domestic violence survivor. AH, to me, was so obviously not reflective of a real survivor. The fake tears and the changing stories, not to mention the audio recordings in court and those released post trial. She said she wants him to leave her alone but she is the one who won't go away. By the way, thank God for the photos and audio recordings, because AH would have gotten away with her evil doings once again. Believe it or not, Johnny Depp is the actual rep of domestic abuse in this case. Move on AH!
Well said!! As an abuse survivor myself I had to say that she was extremely triggering to me, not because of her testimony, but her character and mannerisms were much like my abuser! Anywhere I went outside my home, people would tell me what an amazing person my abuser was, how lucky I was to have him in my family! I used to wonder how they couldn't see the evil that I experienced in him every day of my life!! That was what triggered me and caused me to have to go back to my doctor and be put on meds for my PTSD after years of not needing them, during this trial! Because of the triggering effect of her pretending to be something she isnt!!
