I was employed for 2 years as a housekeeper in a college coed dormitory. They were the worst 2 years of my life. College students are absolutely the nastiest people to clean after on a daily basis. During the holidays and especially at year end when they leave for summer vacation, they leave behind a years worth of filth. The student apartments were absolutely destroyed because of parties night after night. The worst I've seen was cleaning vomit from the water fountains on Monday mornings after a weekend of partying. They don't pay housekeepers enough to put up with this level of filth.
it just simply sucks being a janitor. It’s not fun to clean up shit and piss covered floors. It’s not fun to have people treat you like you’re below them (job wise you are), it’s not fun to literally sweep and mop for a paycheck. I never found one janitor that said they genuinely like cleaning, it’s more just that’s where there mental capabilities are or physical capabilities. But there’s a lot of janitors that genuinely like working as a janitor, not the whole cleaning part but more like they’re in a good atmosphere with good people that really do respect them. I worked as a janitor too, for quite some time through my teenage years and early 20’s but I couldn’t man. Have been sick during winter as a janitor for a bit and yes I do wash my hands.
Have you ever rented and paid your own bills? This is literally a landlord's wet dream. I mean, this house is definitely an extreme and I feel bad for the cleaners. But no sympathy for the landlord since they're 100% turning a profit on this job.

Having been a student, I had many an argument with house mates who came from wealthier families who just did not keep the place clean and expected others to just pick up after them. Irritating to say the least, especially when they have such strong emotional reactions to being told to sort their shit out. The general psychology surrounding every piece of mess went something like "Well I didn't do that so I'm not cleaning it" and thus the grime festers.

Liam Except that it’s rented - not owned. Landlord can have it legally drawn up in the rental agreement to have inspections with a notice. I used to live in student housing and that’s exactly what they did for us. I’m a clean person anyways so I didn’t have anything to worry about. Living like this causes damage to the property. Either the tenant has to pay hundreds of dollars in cleaning fees or the owner has to pay the money for it. In some cases tenants can be sued for damages. So it’s in everyone’s best interest to not live like a nasty pig.

I've always been clean, not always organised, but not a single pot or cup goes unwashed, and I'll be damned if my bathroom and kitchen isn't pristine xxxx
I honestly can’t even imagine living like that. I’m a student and make a regular habit of respecting the place i live in, and respecting myself and the housemates that live with me. We all pull our weight and live happily in our clean dorm ☺️
Its almost impressive that they managed to do all this in a semester/year. People at my dorm always left food in the halls so the cleaners started fining us. Even then other students couldn't seem to understand why I swept up my section of the hall smh. Just because its their job doesn't mean we need to make it bigger for them.
I'm a student, and I could not even imagine living like this. I'm poor and I know people that live like this that hire cleaners before they move out because they're rich and cba
@rogue yeah chopsticks because they hand them out for free when you go to your local chippy, if they were rich or had enough money why wouldn’t they go to an authentic Chinese restaurant which resembles more to what theyre used to?? 🥴
Just moved out of a house like this. Had 3 roommates and I thought OUR room was gross and never felt clean. Walking into their bathroom I swear it was just like this video. The kitchen was even worse than this video. Living like this really takes a toll on your mental health, and if you''re OKAY with it... I can not imagine you would be thinking.
This is what I thought in my halls house. No one cleaned, I took out the rubbish every two days cause people would throw it in and it would overflow on the floor and i was like... DO THEY REALLY LIVE LIKE THIS AT HOME? I cried when I got a complaint from the landlord cause I cleaned everyday and mopped the floors and i usually come down 2 hours later to turn out the lights and it would be a total mess again.
Had the same issue with my shared house on school residence. 4 young guys sharing a house, I kept my room and living area clean, but everyday I’d find literal poop on the bathroom floor and never seen them do dishes once. I just gave up cleaning after everyone and stayed in my room.
I remember my University used to do frequent inspections of the shared spaces as well as our rooms and if they were not up to standard then you'd be facing a hefty fine.
Watching a few episodes of this show made me turn my flat upside down, scrub every inch down, and drown my bathroom with bleach. Me and my daughter even sorted out our stuff and three trailer loads of piled up hoardings went either to the second hand store or straight to the recycling center. At least with the cocorona and all, I have the time for it.
The students that let it get like that should be ashamed of themselves. I lived in a student house with six people, mostly guys... and we always managed to keep things pretty clean...

“Look at that hair. That’s bizarre!” Um, yeah, as someone with long hair I can definitely say that that is from where someone pulled the hair out of their hairbrush and just threw it in the floor. Not really bizarre, but definitely lazy and unhygienic lol
I was a student in Aberystwyth and I can tell you when sharing accomodation you quickly get fed up of cleaning up from other people. Best thing I did was moving a few miles out of the town and renting my own property. If you are a student and looking at living with other people DONT unless you constantly want to clean up their spilled milk in the fridge, mountain of dirty dishes and constant scum in the shower, look for your own place in a 10 mile radius of what ever area you are studying. If there is a party at someones place chances are you'll be able to stay until early hours and catch the first bus home. (if you are the type of dirty basterd who leaves the place like this maybe you should study the art of cleaning up after yourself)

Looks like how it was 30 years ago when I was living in student hostel in Coventry. Back then the students were protesting against the cap on student loan but the cleaner was wondering where they get the money for booze. She clears a lot of bottles each week.
Surprisingly, I moved in to a house with two three guys that had a house twice if not quadruple times as bad as this. I wasn’t in any position to be picky where I lived at the time so I moved in. When we moved I helped my roommate move his bed, I found 3/4 of a pizza under his bed. That was probably the most normal thing I found in the house.
There's a whole lot better cleaning tools that professionals can use to keep more at arms length, I don't get it. Plus long gloves, not those flimsy gloves.

I lived in quite a lot of shared apartments with others and everywhere you go, there is at least 1 or 2 people that just dont know how to clean or clean after them. Disgusting.
But surely you know how to lift a takeaway container and place it in the bin. Surely you know that if you have 20K pounds hiring a cleaner for 2 hours a week would be nothing if you're smoking that many cigarettes also. Don't try and make an excuse for their mess. Fucking animals.
Sophie Benjamin yeah it can but darker colours don’t really cause much damage and you can get semi permanent too, I do colour my hair from time to time because I had alopecia and it helped to make the thinning and bald patch (top front of my hair line and head) look thicker but I only go like 4 shades darker than my natural colour. It’s not for everyone though but it can help you feel a bit better and fresher too.
No that is grease and dirt of humans body if you have baths and never wash it out that's how it turns out. I used to clean student halls and accommodations for living.

Yes!
Plot twist:
the students were junkies
Some junkies are pretty clean tho
They have the energy and time to clean-up
i think these kids were just lazy and selfish and their parents even worse
Another plot twist. Students and junkies at the same time

That landlord needs to have monthly inspections from here on out. Only way to keep people accountable
Agreed
that i wouldnt be able to grow my buds lol
Liam Except that it’s rented - not owned. Landlord can have it legally drawn up in the rental agreement to have inspections with a notice. I used to live in student housing and that’s exactly what they did for us. I’m a clean person anyways so I didn’t have anything to worry about. Living like this causes damage to the property. Either the tenant has to pay hundreds of dollars in cleaning fees or the owner has to pay the money for it. In some cases tenants can be sued for damages. So it’s in everyone’s best interest to not live like a nasty pig.
Mine was every 6 months for a few years and now it's once a year and they flick a few lights on in each room and they go.. in and out in 30 seconds. After awhile you know who a good tenant is

If they cannot clean it themselves, why not hire someone to clean it for them once a week? Damn they are rich but they dirty. 😑😑
exactly!! i'm very lucky though because when i was growing up, even though we hired a maid to come and clean once a week, my mum always told her to never clean my room. that way i learned how to clean my own space! as a child i thought it was unfair but now i'm older i really appreciate it.
How can people go into a bathroom like that! God, when I take a shower the point is to get clean, not dirtier!
👏😂
tbh i have to deal with a situation like this because of my brother, and after a while you get used to it and just avoid touching the nastier areas.
My shower gets a little grimy in the corners (it's actually due to crap in the well water building up, not actual filfth) and I honestly find that disgusting and would be embarrassed if someone saw it. Yeah.. After seeing this I think my shower is quite clean.

Non existent?
I remember going round to my uni friend's digs alot (I lived at home and travelled because I had a 20hr job) and my best friend in uni lived in shiiiiite conditions - everytime I went round I'd glove up and tidy and clean before I got comfortable.
Cleaning up after themselves is beneath them. The attitude is, "I have people for that." In this case "the people for that" are the Extreme Cleaners.
I live with college aged roommates and NONE of us would live like that.
This is how your crush that didn’t text you back is living, take that in.
thanks, i needed that >XD
Deep respect for these guys cleaning these houses!!! Lots of love from the netherlands
But its still disgusting

They couldn't be bothered to do shiiit. 😂 they probably were like, I paid for this and I am too SPECIAL to even clean up a little bit.
They were probably too busy snorting coke.
The students that let it get like that should be ashamed of themselves. I lived in a student house with six people, mostly guys... and we always managed to keep things pretty clean...

Watching this makes me want to clean. And i hate cleaning.
Hopefully you love cleaning by now

I'm guessing they went for a master’s degree because that bath clearly wasn't cleaned, in five years!
The bathtub probably got clogged with hair so often that it drained so slowly that grime built up on the sides.

The scraping of the bath was satisfying as heck
In my first year at uni I had to share a house with a guy who did zero cleaning. It was like this, stub ends everywhere, fast food packets etc, just disgusting. He never washed up either, couldn't be bothered to turn a light off or turn the oven off. I was so glad to leave..
Okay but when he scraped the grime off the bath that was oddly satisfying
Looks like how it was 30 years ago when I was living in student hostel in Coventry. Back then the students were protesting against the cap on student loan but the cleaner was wondering where they get the money for booze. She clears a lot of bottles each week.
Everyones talking bout the house while im just laughing at tony
Surprisingly, I moved in to a house with two three guys that had a house twice if not quadruple times as bad as this. I wasn’t in any position to be picky where I lived at the time so I moved in. When we moved I helped my roommate move his bed, I found 3/4 of a pizza under his bed. That was probably the most normal thing I found in the house.
There's a whole lot better cleaning tools that professionals can use to keep more at arms length, I don't get it. Plus long gloves, not those flimsy gloves.
Oh yes I'm disgusted for them because the gloves are so short and flimsy, I feel like they'll get dirt and grime all over their arms. Also I wish they had some kind of masks, the place is so disgusting
That guy that's been keeping the snacks aswell.. hope he bleached them before eating.
20 g into to the account and couldn't afford a maid? I guess that just proves that all rich people aren't smart. Or clean. Or observant. GRoossss
I lived in quite a lot of shared apartments with others and everywhere you go, there is at least 1 or 2 people that just dont know how to clean or clean after them. Disgusting.
It's more likely they didn't know how to cook or clean, that's what happens when you live a privileged life with servents
The cooking part is no excuse. RUclips has no shortage of simple easy cheap recipes
But surely you know how to lift a takeaway container and place it in the bin. Surely you know that if you have 20K pounds hiring a cleaner for 2 hours a week would be nothing if you're smoking that many cigarettes also. Don't try and make an excuse for their mess. Fucking animals.
That’s hair dye and dried in conditioner in that bath- at least as a girl that’s the closest I can come up with.
That's why I don't dye my hair - I'm too scared of all my hair falling out
Sophie Benjamin yeah it can but darker colours don’t really cause much damage and you can get semi permanent too, I do colour my hair from time to time because I had alopecia and it helped to make the thinning and bald patch (top front of my hair line and head) look thicker but I only go like 4 shades darker than my natural colour. It’s not for everyone though but it can help you feel a bit better and fresher too.
I have dyed my hair since I was 15, and I assure you, my shower is WHITE!
Julie Jay I was about to say my hair has been multiple colors and my bathtub has never in life looked like that
No that is grease and dirt of humans body if you have baths and never wash it out that's how it turns out. I used to clean student halls and accommodations for living.
I’m a student in shared halls and I hate it. I’m not saying my room is tidy but I will NEVER let it get like this. Some of my housemates however are absolutely disgusting. I’m so thankful we have weekly cleaner for common areas because I struggle putting up with their mess after a week. For example one of my housemates now has black mold in his room and I can tell u now it is entirely his fault.
