I wouldnt want to live like either of them. Having a show house that you dont even cook in is awful. I always want to cook my own food and make a mess, but clean it up after. I really like Glen. I’m quite a messy person but I certainly see Glens point of view. Things are much easier to keep clean when you just keep on top of it even for 5 minutes a day!
David is unbearable. So smarmy and disrespectful not to mention completely ungrateful for the kind time and help Glen is giving. Glen on the other hand is such an all round lovely guy anyone would be happy to call a friend.
David would be an interesting conversationalist but really needs to curate and recognize that there is a minimum level of clean which is necessary for good health. His home is a fire hazard. If an item is shoved in a box and not used or displayed, it is hoarded. That can be hard for some to recognize.
The goal of life should not be to want more, but to need less. The relationships you build, the interactions you have with the world around you are what's important, not material possessions. Build memories through experiences, not stuff.

Such wasted potential! May as well get rid of them. And all that time spent measuring things because everything must be exactly 9 or so inches from the edge. How much time does he spend wandering around his apartment every day just measuring things and making sure they're level? He literally has a compulsion to go around touching things because they've sat there gathering dust because he doesn't use them because it may disrupt his 'perfect order'. I'm glad Glen enjoys cleaning, and there's certainly nothing wrong with keeping things clean and orderly. But, as with most things, there is such a thing as going 'too far'. And I certainly feel like Glen is dangerously close to that line, if he hasn't already past it.
