I wouldnt want to live like either of them. Having a show house that you dont even cook in is awful. I always want to cook my own food and make a mess, but clean it up after. Having loads of stuff puled up to the point where you cant move is also really bad. When i was living with my parents i had way too much in my room and i didnt like to spend time in there. Now ive got my own house with cupboards and such i can fill them with things, but only a few item are out for display.
It would also making diy a nightmare, even for a tradespeople coming to check the boiler, fix a leaking pipe, putting in a new socket or changing a lightbulb!

My dad was an antique “collector” too but also hoarded tools, art supplies, photo frames, lamp parts… It was wild. Luckily he was super organized so it wasn’t a huge mess. But sometimes it felt like our house was bursting at the seams. Anyway, his collecting started because his Dad threw away and his brother destroyed some of his toys like the hot wheels and action figures he would keep in the box, just like this guy.
This is why parents need to be so careful about respecting your child’s belongings and autonomy. Because not doing so can trigger a lifetime of putting more value in possessions than relationships and experiences. My Dad died young and spent way more time with his s*** than he did his family, unfortunately.

Glen can clean til his hands bleed, he's going to live a shorter life if he lives off ready meals. If he's been eating them for year's he probably won't rot when he's dead because so many preservatives. 😳😵🤢

Glen must be protected at all costs, I'm not the tidiest person ever but the scratching his arm when he saw the place was beyond relatable. I want to be as tidy as him to be honest. I've started by arranging all my CDs and vinyl by artists alphabetically. DVDs next!!

David is certainly worse than Glen, but people like Glen drive me insane as well. What good is having an immaculate kitchen when you only eat Ready-to-Eat meals because you're afraid of making a mess? His stove top and oven basically are decorations that serve no purpose. Such wasted potential! May as well get rid of them. And all that time spent measuring things because everything must be exactly 9 or so inches from the edge. How much time does he spend wandering around his apartment every day just measuring things and making sure they're level? He literally has a compulsion to go around touching things because they've sat there gathering dust because he doesn't use them because it may disrupt his 'perfect order'.
I'm glad Glen enjoys cleaning, and there's certainly nothing wrong with keeping things clean and orderly. But, as with most things, there is such a thing as going 'too far'. And I certainly feel like Glen is dangerously close to that line, if he hasn't already past it.

Dunno how Glen didn't throw up from the freezer, the way that liquid death swirled in the bottom. Must've built a tolerance after the fridge experience. Looked almost proud to handle it while the others couldn't. 😄
