Lawyer, if I understood correctly, despite having 1 or more surgeries and i do not have disability percentages, then there is no monetary compensation at the end of the case . So work accident cases for the lawyers would be bad business!!! taking into account that you charge a fee of 20% at the end of the case. Now i'm very worry cause i'm receiving 2/3 parts a week and I don't have enough money to cover my expenses.
Thanks for your response. Sorry meant to say that the wife requested I get a 2nd doc's opinion after the 1st doc recommended the replacement of my L4, L5, S1 disks. The 2nd doc came back & recommended lower back fusion altogether. I've already been treated for the herniated disks for the last 18 months & still suffering from sciatica due to the injury daily & nerve impingement. I've already been through 7 steroid shots & surgery addressing the 3 herniated disks afterwards. No relief from any of that. Got another MRI after surgery and the surgeon says the other side of my disks blew out. 4get the money, I just want to get better. PS: Don't worry Wife has a sense of humor. She says the hair looks fine. 😅
I have the exact same thing going on. I’ve had the steroid shots which messed me up more bc they didn’t numb me properly, I felt everything! and hit another nerve when going in which caused my toes to go numb. My doctor said he wanted to do suregery but wanted to give me another round of shots first. It upsets me he didn’t document the part where he said I am going to need a disc replacement and only noted shots. The opposing attorney told mine, he wanted to close the case yet they didnt give me an offer. My attorney told me to come up with a number and so I did with reasoning and facts behind it all. He basically told me bc I’m young and educated they will never give me this amount. All a sudden my attorney is telling me to hold off on closing and take it one step at a time and to wait for august to roll around to get more shots. It just feels off. I really want to go see my doctor and ask him to just get them surgery on the calendar already.
I told my boss verbally I need to seek medical expertise for my back I told my Forman and supervisor both I had a lamonectmy in l3/l4 for a herniated disc billed my insurance which is Aetna my boss is denied my claim but my serggen stated it was my jobs fought in weighting.I have a little perexsings ddd but no massive herniated disc.question will my case be strong and will my boss pay for my surgery and bills thank you 🙏 I

I then retired and was sent for MRI’s post retirement which revealed serious problems n need surgery. I was misdiagnosed initially. I’m now working per diem on. 1099

workers comp judge approves surgery and insurance adjuster and attorneys are appealing the judge's decision surgery is scheduled within the month, much needed surgery acdf and pcdf it has been over 2 years and the appeal was just filed, my attorney is split on if the person should go forward in fear of the insurance company will win the appeal, even with 2 surgeons and pain management are in 100% agreement of surgery, so the person can get better and heal and return to work within 6 months, not sure the outcome but the person is going forward with the surgery and will deal with the end results
Hello Rex, I broke my fifth metacarpal and the neck of it in June at work due to a crush injury. Went to the ER and then two days later had a surgery. Did weeks of physical therapy and now I just had a second surgery because I couldn’t lift my pinky up and only had 50% of strength back. They cut out some scar tissue around my knuckle as well as repaired a tendon. I go back on 10/23 to get stitches out and potentially go through the whole physical therapy process again for 6 more weeks. My pinky seems to be at the same place as far as not being able to lift it ( i know, haven’t done physical therapy yet again , but almost seems worse then before surgery ). Any idea of a number I could be looking at? And should I try to go back to light duty if possible, as soon as possible ? Wc been kinda sketchy with this whole process. Any info helps !
I've had three surgeries right shoulder when was augmentation have another tear killing me doctor said add my treaty position should have gave me a shoulder replacement so the q&A order an evaluation what's my treating physician she got mad cuz I told her what the qme doctor said she made a negative comment and rush me right out the office but she did say she was going to order physical therapy for my right shoulder and neck never received any appointments I'm still suffering with a lot of pain
What about if you got to have a hilt replacement surgery? What type of conversation does that help? If you got hurt at work do I need to get a lawyer when my case manager is telling me that she's closed in my case. And now it's just up to me and insurance that I gotta deal with. As far as trying to get help, my hips replace.

Most Uber drivers write everything off with expenses or show maybe $10,000 to $5,000 worth of income. @@workerscompnewyork Yes, but being truthful on that basically screws us because that's how workman's that's how Uber drivers get over is because we have such high miles take out that we really don't show much of a profit and it hurts us when you get into an accident doing Uber because if they don't have big coverage your loss, it's going to get eaten alive and you're not going to get much from workman's comp. It's pretty tricky, especially if you have a major major accident

Is this a New York case? There are many reasons for reduction and benefits however, a change in adjusters should not be one of them.

There are many more layers to that onion, but I do understand your predicament. That’s why it’s important to be truthful on your schedule C filings.
